Lee Han Shin is determined to prevent inmates who show little remorse for their crimes from obtaining paroles through money, connections, or deceitful tactics. The newly released teaser highlights Go Soo’s captivating portrayal of Lee Han Shin, a sharp and skilled parole examiner with a quirky, unyielding demeanor. larus
Go Soo eats toast and blocks crooks as Parole Examiner Lee by lovepark Welcome to the world of parole in tvN’s newest crime drama Parole Examiner Lee. Starring Go Soo (Missing: The Other Side) as the show’s eponymous hero Lee Han-shin, this lawyer spends his time keeping unrepentant criminals behind bars where they belong. If you thought your money and connections would set you free, think again. The latest teaser opens in a dark room with Han-shin sitting at a desk. He quickly goes through a stack of documents and stamps them either “unqualified” or “qualified” without any hesitation. As the rejection pile grows taller, he reaches the last case and then stops. Checking over the details, Han-shin smirks and thinks to himself that it is too early for them to be released into the world. With that, he pounds his stamp like a judge hitting their gavel, and the scene changes. The dark atmosphere shifts into a brighter tone as Han-shin works in his office, donning a lighter suit in lieu of his black one. He places down his commemoration cup — the one he got for becoming a parole examiner — and munches on a piece of toast. (Bread being an informal term for jail in Korean.) Described as an iron wall, Han-shin will block all the amoral jerks trying to manipulate the system and get out of prison (while enjoying his toast as a free man, of course). Though he may be unmoving when it comes to work, this hero is more than happy to do his job as the teaser ends with Han-shin dancing to an announcement that CEO Ji Dong-man of Ohjung Group was recently refused parole. Directed by PD Yoon Sang-ho (Curtain Call, River Where the Moon Rises) with scripts written by Park Chi-hyung, tvN’s Parole Examiner Lee is slated for twelve episodes and premieres November 18 in the Monday-Tuesday slot. https://dramabeans.com/2024/10/go-soo-eats-toast-and-blocks-crooks-as-parole-examiner-lee/

backstreetboysfan
Watch: Go Soo, Yuri, And Baek Ji Won Team Up To Prevent Inmates From Obtaining Undeserved Parole In “Parole Examiner Lee” Teaser tvN’s new Monday-Tuesday drama “Parole Examiner Lee” has released a new teaser! “Parole Examiner Lee” follows lawyer Lee Han Shin (Go Soo), who becomes a parole officer responsible for making final decisions on inmate paroles. Lee Han Shin is determined to prevent inmates who show little remorse for their crimes from obtaining paroles through money, connections, or deceitful tactics. The teaser opens with Lee Han Shin playfully asking inmate Ji Dong Man (Song Young Chang), the wealthy chairman of Ohjeong Group, “Do you know what the inmate’s favorite ‘bread’ is?” before gleefully answering, “It’s parole bread!” making a play on Korean words, as the last syllable of “parole” (gaseokbang) sounds similar to the word for “bread” (bbang). Dressed in a lawyer’s outfit and badge, Lee Han Shin grins as a caption appears: “Parole examiner Lee Han Shin, stopping bad guys,” raising expectations about how he will prevent inmates from exploiting the parole system. The mood abruptly shifts with a commanding shout of “Stop right there!” followed by a loud gunshot as Detective Ahn Seo Yun (Girls’ Generation’s Yuri) makes a dramatic entrance. Dubbed the ace of the special investigation unit, Ahn Seo Yun is a relentless detective committed to achieving justice within the law. Her question, “Can we really stop them this way?” piques curiosity about how she will collaborate with Lee Han Shin’s unconventional methods. The teaser also introduces Choi Hwa Ran (Baek Ji Won), a legendary loan shark whose profession seems worlds apart from enforcing justice, yet she joins forces with Lee Han Shin. Her remark, “You really seem confident,” as she aligns with his plans suggests a surprising alliance among a parole examiner, a detective, and a loan shark. In the next scene, Ji Myung Seob (Lee Hak Joo), an unruly second-generation chaebol, is seen partying at a club. A voice chimes in, “It’s ridiculous to grant parole to such a bad person,” indicating that he is unfit for reentry into society. Despite this, Ji Myung Seob, wearing a prison uniform and shaking documents, arrogantly retorts, “I told you, right? You can’t stop me,” suggesting that no one has succeeded in stopping him. The atmosphere shifts again as Lee Han Shin’s confident voice cuts through, proclaiming, “Let’s get started.” Action erupts: Ahn Seo Yun expertly subdues a suspect, Choi Hwa Ran laughs triumphantly while savoring fruit, and Lee Han Shin examines gold bars with a knowing smile. As the tension mounts, Lee Han Shin declares, “We can’t just follow the rules and fight politely, can we?” hinting at a bold strategy to take on Ji Myung Seob. In the final moment, Lee Han Shin locks eyes with Ji Myung Seob and delivers a stern warning: “You can’t go back into society. You still haven’t paid for all your actions yet.” Watch the full teaser below! “Parole Examiner Lee” is set to premiere on November 18 at 8:50 p.m. KST. larus
Meet Go Soo’s motley crew in teaser for Parole Examiner Lee by Jenzy The new teaser for tvN’s crime drama Parole Examiner Lee just dropped, giving us a rapid fire introduction to our eponymous parole officer Go Soo (Missing: The Other Side) and his team that keeps baddies off the streets. We open on our darling parole officer Lee Han-shin (Go Soo) as he cracks a joke involving his line of work. (“What’s an inmate’s favorite kind of bread (bbang)?” “Parole (kaseokbbang).” *badum tss*) You might not be able to tell from his cheesy dad puns, but he takes his job very seriously. After all, he’s the one in charge of keeping undeserving prisoners from abusing the parole system. But despite his one-man-army levels of determination, Han-shin’s investigative work couldn’t be done without the help of his unlikely partners: the ace detective Ahn Seo-yoon, played by Kwon Yuri (Good Job) and the notorious loan shark madam Choi Hwa-ran, played by Baek Ji-won (Goodbye Earth). While we’re left to wonder why someone toeing the shady side of the law would want to work with a detective and a parole officer, needless to say, Han-shin’s motley crew help make sure his twelve and six are covered. And he’ll need to make sure he’s got backup, because sticking to your gut as a parole officer is a tough task, especially when bad actors, such as our second-generation chaebol Lee Hak-joo (LTNS), sit pretty knowing they can pull strings to get out of jail. But while Hak-joo’s character might fight dirty with gold bar bribes and literal goons, Han-shin isn’t about to let a criminal like him go without a fight: “People like you shouldn’t leave prison. You clearly have yet to pay for your sins.” Written by Park Chi-hyung and directed by Yoon Sang-ho (Curtain Call, River Where the Moon Rises), tvN’s Parole Examiner Lee will premiere November 18 in the Monday-Tuesday slot. https://dramabeans.com/2024/11/meet-go-soos-motley-crew-in-teaser-for-parole-examiner-lee/
