Deng Wei Vs Smoking In The Entertainment Industry

 

Smoking in the entertainment industry is not considered a serious thing at all.

 

More than 80% of the artistes smoke in private, regardless of gender. 

 

It is just that as a new traffic niche, Deng Wei is more vulnerable to the impact in this regard.  His competitors are clearly taking advantage of this factor to destroy his rising popularity.

 

Deng Wei must take special precautions. As long as he is no longer photographed again, there should be no problem.  Seriously I am displeased with his current Team.  They are Not doing a good job so far.

 

His Manager-cum-Agent is responsible for the Airport Fiasco. The Small Star, Big Card incident.

 

At the Car-Park prior to leaving for the Concert of "Lost You Forever", she did not even know where their car is.  Neither can she  recognise Deng Wei.  She and the bodyguard blindly followed another guy with a Cap, thinking that he is Deng Wei.  Pathetic.

@leo2020   I have Deng Wei's basic information, including that of his Agency  in Page 1.

 

Agency: Xiaojing (Beijing) Film & Television Culture Media Co Ltd (Established in 2017)

It is a small company.  Only 3 staffs.  

 

Agent: Ms Huang Hui 

She is the former agent of Actor Liu Hao Ran.  She holds 15% of the shares in this company.  .

 

An Actor's Manager/ Agent is just like any other Professions:  Teachers, Lecturers, Doctors, Engineers, Managers of any corporate companies....  And the list goes on.

 

How efficient or professional each is, depends on the Individual's Character, Ideals and Beliefs.  Most will work for Money.  Some people are a bit Careless.  Some are Meticulous.  Some are Cheerful.  Some are not.  Some are very dedicated and hardworking.  A lot are not.

 

It depends on the Actor's Luck.  And how much you can pay for a good manager.

 

Duties Of A Manager /Agent:

It covers almost everything regarding the Artiste under his or her care:  Publicity - yes.  Marketing, Safety, Transport. They do not do it personally.  They arrange for these.  But they should be there to watch over him.  (For example Zhu Yi Long's Manager/Agent follows him every where. Even when he has a Dinner Date with a male friend and fellow actor.)

 

If the Artiste has an Event to attend, a Good Manager/ Agent should get all the necessary details (Date, time, venue.  What the actor is required to do. Who are the VIP Guests.  Who are the other artistes invited, if any. How big is the crowd that will be there? The media and the questions which will be posted by them. Does the Event-Host provides the clothing for the Actor.  (Normally Brand Endorsement Host will provide the attires. For Example SkinCeuticals and Christian Dior).  If not she has to source for the clothings, makeup consultant, hair-stylist. As well as to guide and coach the Artiste on the Social Etiquettes.  

 

But most Manager /Agents are Not Up To The Mark.

 

My Opinions:

As we have seen so far, Deng Wei's Manager, Ms Huang Hui is a bit Aggressive and Arrogant.  She has some experience.   But lacks efficiency and dedication to his Artiste.

Deng Wei :   Did He Graduate Or Not ?

 

There are so many doubts regarding this matter.  The majority said he did not graduate.  They even make fun of him in weibo.  Saying he only has a high school qualifications.   

 

So let me clear this Myth once and for all.  And in the process I will provide more details about his educational and general background. (Let me use small fonts.  As the story is quite long)

 

Education:

Deng Wei was a 2014 dance drama student who was jointly enrolled and trained by the Chinese Opera House Dance Hall.  The year of Deng Wei's enrolment was also the "First Enrollment after the establishment of the Dance Department.  The first time they open for enrolment.

 

The course and training takes Five Long Years.

 

After graduation, a two-way selection process will be adopted to select the Best Candidates.

*  673 applications from nation-wide.

*  The School targeted 25 students at that time.  

*  22 were selected.

*  Finally only 20 were retained.

 

Deng Wei was admitted in the Third Place. That means he is very very Good Student.  He comes from the "Cream Of The Crop".  The very Best.

 

Chinese opera is divided into majors and departments:

The dance drama department, the musical theater department, the puppet theater department.

 

Each department has only one class, with more than 20 people in each class. They are all selected from all the national art candidates after heavy selection and written examinations and interviews. Joint training like Deng Wei's class is even more stringent. Many Chinese opera students usually go directly to places like the National Centre for the Performing Arts  to become professional actors after graduation.

 

As professional Dancers, they will be able to show off on the stage with a group of like-minded friends and be full of energy. Unlike now, in the entertainment industry where people simply spread unfounded rumors about him.  And his private lives are stripped bare.

 

After taking several final exams in the second semester of his sophomore year , Deng Wei could no longer dance. Because of the injuries to his Waist, Back and Knees. He has to give up his "Centre-Position".

 

After completing the dance course that required large movements, he started travelling back and forth to China and the United States for rehabilitation in the second half of 2017.

 

***But Deng Wei successfully graduated after completing his credits.  All members of the Dance Drama Department from his class graduated.  ***

 

One of his classmate is the Chinese Dancer Chen Tian.  You all can google for him.  When watching him, I could not help thinking of Deng Wei.  If only he did not injure himself.  I feel so Sad for him.

 

During this period, inner conflicts began to appear with various personalities, trends, attempts to be different, and self-finding.   During this time, he was dressed like a trendy guy who was difficult to approach.   And he used a weibo account under the name of "Monster Boy".

 

I do not know how Deng Wei eventually comes to accept his Destiny.  That he could never dance again.  It must have been Very Painful for him.

 

He and his girlfriend broke off in 2019.  I wonder if it is because Deng Wei can no longer dance.  That she felt that he does not have a bright future anymore. Possible isn't it?

 

2020, he starred in "Miss The Dragon" , and officially debuted in May 2021, and has since entered the entertainment industry.

 

After that came the period of being hacked, with all kinds of slander and false accusations emerging one after another.  He did Not respond at all.  

 

The "Hackers" came out with some photos that were not understood by mainstream aesthetics. To attract attentions, the "Hackers" used captions like: "He looks like...".  "I feel that he...".

 

After being blackened by a rumor-monger, he did not respond. He even deleted the comments of a Fan who defended  him.  His fans said he did not know how to appreciate people defending him.  But he just do not want that Fan of his to suffer any abuse on his behalf.

 

His "Diamond-Fans" loves his inner stability when faced with being hacked.  They love the way he protects his fans even more.

 

Throwing a cigarette butt on the road is wrong.  He immediately apologised.

 

But if it is not his fault, he will not bow his head.  He will not apologise.  But respond with "Silence".

 

He debuted late, entering the entertainment industry at the age of 26.  Started filming his first drama when he was 25 years of age.  Debuting at 26 years i.e. when "Miss The Dragon" premiered.

 

At this age, his  views are basically formed. Unless a major event occurs, he will stand by his beliefs.  

 

Therefore, he does not look like a Typical Actor in the Chinese-entertainment industry.  Which is why some of the things he did after he became famous are hard to understand.

 

Such as cleaning up "Zombie Fans".  Which is not something an ordinary person in the C-Entertainment Industry will do.  A typical actor /actress will want to have as many fans as possible. But Deng Wei will delete all the "Zombie Fans".  And zombie-fans will wake up the next day, and find that their posts are "gone".  He does not lie to himself. He knows what he wants.

 

Due to his background as a professional dancer, his fighting scenes are really beautiful to watch.  Deng Wei took into account both beauty and strength.  Such as spin, point flip, horizontal turn, front axle, side roll, etc. These basic skills of raising the legs high  have been demonstrated in his fighting scenes.  And they are very solid.  Do appreciate them.

 

I have to say that dancers have an advantage when filming costumes projects.

 

 

 

 

Conclusion:

Yes.  Deng Wei graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Dance Drama, from the Dance Drama Department of  The Central Academy Of Drama.

He comes from a solid educational background.   I have mentioned it before, that "The Central Academy Of Drama" is a "Qingbei" (A Double-Best University in China for this kind of studies.  The Top School).

 

He is much better than most actors or actresses.  Some actors/actresses only have primary school qualifications.  Some have lower secondary qualifications.  High school or Technical School qualifications.  Because it is Not Compulsory for Actors and Actresses to go through a stringent Examination and Selection Process to become one.

 

No doubt, some of them came from an Acting Academy.  But the entry qualifications for Actors are quite "low".

 

I am sure you all know this too.

 

(Next I shall talk about his Sexual Orientation.  Because a lot of fans are unsure of him.  Due to all these "Black News and Gossips).

Deng Wei :   Is He A Straight Man ?

 

After Deng Wei's popularity soared, many drama fans began to dig into his past history.

 

Because his dressing style was too trendy before his debut, he was once jokingly said by netizens to have a face that could collapse at any time. 

 

A paparazzi once answered some netizens' questions during a live broadcast.  The paparazzi said  it is difficult for Deng Wei to fall in love with a man and a woman. The implication is that Deng Wei has a clean private life and will not play around casually.  

 

Deng Wei has mentioned before, in an interview.  He said he will Not fall in love easily.  Because a Relationship requires Responsibility and Commitment.

 

But before the paparazzi could finished speaking, the female assistant behind him burst into laughter. Many netizens interpreted that the female assistant could not hold back because Deng Wei is gay.  (It is wrong and dangerous to explain things "half-way").   Paparazzis are paparazzis.  They like to create "controversies".  Therefore they play around with words.

 

Most people are still very narrow-minded.  They get very nervous and embarrassed when it comes to discussing sensitive subjects like "sex".  I believe this female assistant must be like that.  That is why she laughed.

 

People easily jump into this conclusion because Deng Wei often had long hair when he was in college. Some netizens claimed that they automatically thought he was gay when they saw his old photos.

 

With the long hair, Deng Wei can actually tie up his hair in a bun when he performs. It looks neat and unique.  And prevents strands of hair from falling on his eyes.

 

He is a straight man.  After all he had a girlfriend for three years. Because of his good looks, a lot of girls were interested in him during his college years.   And now his Agency has to keep a close tab on him - to prevent any scandal.

 

He is not allowed to fall in love for the time being.   So any rumour about his romance with Yang Zi is false.

 

The projects he has accepted over the last two years are basically Second  Male Leads with Popular IPs.

 

There is indeed some problems between him and that "Yu Zheng".  But it has little to do with Deng Wei.  It was his company who does not want him to accept a "Minor Supporting Role".  A second male lead is different. But it offended YZ.

 

Deng Wei cannot say anything without implicating his Boss and Company.  So he can only remain "Silent".

In the entertainment industry, the end of the year is the time when many grand events will be held.

 

Major TV stations and platforms will hold various award ceremonies and New Year's Eve parties, inviting many celebrities to participate.

 

However, it was recently reported that Deng Wei, a newcomer actor who has attracted much attention this year, has turned down invitations to many year-end ceremonies.  Including the Weibo TV and Internet Video Summit 2023, CCTV Spring Festival Gala, Hunan Satellite TV New Year's Eve Party.

 

Deng Wei's move triggered speculation and discussion among netizens.

- Some thought he was being aloof and reserved. 

- Some thought he was avoiding suspicion.

- And some thought he was concentrating on filming.

 

According to people familiar with the matter, Deng Wei's reasons are two-fold.

 

First, he is currently filming the costume fairy tale "Love Of The Divine Tree".  In order to ensure the quality and progress of the filming, he does not want to be distracted by other activities.

Honestly I doubt it was his personal choice. It's my understanding his filming schedule is very tight right now. The production company/team simply may have an upper hand here and not allow him to leave even for a day. I remember I read that in 2015 Dilraba was not allowed to leave a filming set even for a day to visit her gravely ill grandma, bcs it would "delay the filming process"(((.

@leo2020  Whatever decisions one makes, people will always like to Speculate and Gossip about them.  And usually it is negatively. That is Life.  

 

 

He is taking leave on :  8 - 9; 17 - 18 December 2023. So I guess his situation is different from Dili Reba. 

 

Such details should be "Leaked" by a staff or a crew member.   Or a "Diamond" Fan?   So that they know Not to come on such days?  But I wish they did not Post it on the social media.
