This shot really showcase  Deng Wei's Agility As A Trained And Professional Dancer.   Not easy to do this at all.  Even with the wires.  And especially when his Waist-Injury was not fully-healed.

Hi! Yes, I'm a follower right from the start - from Miss The Dragon. I absolutely loved his (and Pan Mei Ye's) work there. I immediately thought- very soon this would be a new face, a new Cdramaland star. Although many were skeptical, he proved them all wrong. 

Re the thread- honestly I only noticed it recently,  and am trying to read everything and appreciate your work here from the very first post). 

A little edit: read your last post re his looks. Recently I watched a Cdrama The Legend of Zhuohua,  and they had an actress Claudia Wang among others. I long wandered why she looks a bit, let's say, familiar. So I googled her, and turned out she is from Inner Mongolia as well. She (IMO) has quite simular facial bone structure as Deng Wei.

Yesterday, even though he is so busy filming till past midnight, he still takes the time to share this photo of a Beautiful Sunset with his Fans.  Because yesterday was  17 November 2023.  "Ye Shi Qi ".  He is still very sentimental of "Shi Qi"  (17) from "Lost You Forever".

 

He is a grateful and sentimental person.   His Fans are always on his mind.

Wah.  Deng Wei is so kind. 

- He provided his staff on the set with "Milk Tea" on  17 (Ye Shi Qi) November 2023.  

- He bought 170 cups.

 

Which means he is commemorating  "Ye Shi Qi" of  "Lost You Forever".   He loves "Ye Shi Qi" so much !

How can his Fans not love him?  He uses his "break-time" to make a post on  the Sunset.  And then rushes back to resume filming. 

 

Just because yesterday was November the 17th - Ye Shi Qi in "Lost You Forever".   He captioned it:  "I AM HERE!".   He is such a ROMANTIC GUY.

I did not finish watching  "Miss The Dragon" because I was Not impressed by the Male and Female Lead.   I stopped after a few episodes.  So I did not really pay much attention.  

 

But I was impressed by  Deng Wei in "Till The End Of The Moon" even though I did not like the story.  IMO too messy.

Deng Wei in the white clothes and a mask, shows an otherworldly temperament. The whole person is like a fairy from heaven. Giving people a sense of purity and flawlessness. But you can see a trace of depression and innocence in his eyes.  As if there is some unknown pain hidden there.

 

 

 

 

 

 

And when he puts on the  black and gold armour,  he completely showed another shocking image. With his high ponytail and exotic-style clothing, he exudes an evil charm and arrogance. This strong impact hits the depths of the viewer's heart.  Seeming to arouse the most primitive, wild and true desires in everyone's heart.

Look at him.  He is so "Cute".   Just one step away from his Car.  He has to "peep and sneak".   Maybe he is afraid of the "Flashing Cameras" and  "Proxy Shooters".

 

But listening to the "Diamonds",  they were indeed pleading to the Umbrella-Man not to cover-up  Deng Wei.  Saying they have been waiting the whole day just to have a One-Second Glimpse of him.  So dedicated.

 

Deng Wei was not in his drama-costume.  There is No Harm in letting the "Diamonds"  having a good look at him, isn't it?

(I later found out that his leg was injured during filming. He does not want his Fans to see.  Because he does not want them to worry.  He is always so Kind.)

Everyday, he goes to work in the early morning, and gets off work very early the "next morning".  After that, he still has other duties at times.

 

Back pain, Leg pain and Heart pain.  This is not only proof of his Dedication and Hard Work, but also a reflection of the fact that "Love Of The Divine Tree" is tight on schedule.

 

There are many "force majeure factors".  And Deng Wei gave this job his absolute dedication, attention and full devotion.

 

From the first day of filmings,  Deng Wei understood that his biggest crisis was that he had no inventory.  Because "Love Of The Divine Tree" was launched "Late".  And the Male Lead has a lot of roles.  He cannot take "Time Off".

 

 

Deng Wei's "Old Leg Injury"  flared up after the intense filmings  and having to be hanged from Wires for the past few days.   While he was a student in his dancing academy, he once tore the ligaments of his leg.  And had to undergo an immediate surgery.  He also has Back and Waist Injuries.  Those injuries were never fully healed.

 

Perhaps this is the reason why yesterday:

-  They drove Deng Wei's car so near to him. He does Not want the "Diamonds" to see him Limping.  And he could not walk too far.

-      Deng Wei does not want to be filmed.

Deng Wei :   Being "Unfairly" Cruxified Again !

 

In the entertainment industry, every action of a star may become the focus of public attention. 

 

Recently, news about actor Deng Wei picking his nose on the set has become a hot topic. 

 

***  I refuse to Post This Picture.   Because I strongly feel that it is Unnecessary.  A Blatant Invasion of a Person's Privacy.  And I Do Not encourage such practices ***

 

The cause of the incident was that someone took photos of Deng Wei picking his nose on the set and posted them on the Internet. This was originally a small matter.  But under the magnification of the celebrity halo, it quickly aroused widespread discussion among netizens. 

 

Obviously Deng Wei is being "Marked" because of his "Trendy Photos" from the past. 

 

Some people think that this kind of behavior is unhygienic and harmful to the image of celebrities. However, unexpectedly, most people did not criticize Deng Wei's behavior.  But instead showed understanding and support.

 

Deng Wei's fans and many netizens said that :

 

1) Nose-picking is human nature. Celebrities are also ordinary people.  They also have small habits and inconveniences in life. 

 

2) Fans believe that Deng Wei's behavior shows his authenticity and down-to-earthness.  Without the airs of a star, it makes him seems rather friendly. 

 

3) Some fans even said that Deng Wei is cuter like this and makes people feel that celebrities have the same physical needs and emotional expressions as ordinary people.

 

4) In addition, some people defended Deng from the perspective of the working environment on the set. 

 

It is understood that the environment on the set where Deng Wei was working at the time was not ideal. The air was full of formaldehyde and dust.  Which was a huge challenge for rhinitis patients.   Deng Wei  has long-term "Rhinitis".

 

Most of the staff wore masks for protection.  But as an actor, Deng Wei was unable to wear a mask for protection during filming. So it's understandable that his nose feels uncomfortable.

 

 

They also criticised him for smoking.  

 

What are your opinions ?  @leo2020  I would love to hear from you.

 

Apart from what the fans have said, below are my thoughts on "nose-picking" :

1) Who took the snap?  Reporters or Proxy Shooters?  Or Opponents-hired photographers to discredit him?  Although somebody said it is a Fan.

2) It is unethical to simply post somebody's photos on the Internet.  (But it is happening all the time). Especially photos taken of their private moments.  Unless what they are doing at that moments are "unethical behaviors which are harmful to society".  And in my opinions,  "nose-picking" is Not.

3) It is even "more unethical"  to "Sneak-Snap" on someone.  Taken without his permission and awareness.  

4) A lack of basic freedom will "crack up" people.  So please give him a break.

5) Actors are human too.  With vices.  Do not expect them to be Perfect. (Are we Perfect ourselves??) I said before.  He is not a Mannequin.  He is "Flesh & Blood".   If you do not like him, do not watch his works.  No need to pick on him like that.  We all need some spaces. Unless what he has done is too Evil and Extreme.  Like what a lot of actors and singers are doing : Rape, Rape Minors, Physically abuse their partners, Cheat on their partners, Prostitutions....

6) Is Deng Wei so bad that he does not have any Positive Quality at all??  Why must we only focus on the negatives?  

 

My thoughts on "smoking" :

Apart from some of the above points which can also be applied here, I would add that: 

1) This is a common habit of most people.  It is not something I condone.  But we cannot stop people from smoking. Actresses smoke too.  A lot of other actors smoke too.  Deng Wei is just unlucky to be caught doing so in the filming set. I am sure the production crew are used to having people smoking on the set. I am sure Deng Wei must have seek  their permission first.

2) He said before.  He wants to quit.  But we know "Nicotine" is not something one can easily quit.  It is Addictive.

3) It is  Winter now.  Sometimes people smoke to get some respite from the Cold Winter.  Smoking warms up the body.

4)  In one of my earlier posts, I said most people at 28 years are still "Immature". (Do we ever mature anyway?  Some elderly people or Intellectuals are also very immature right?).  NO.  I do not think we are ever "matured".  Because Life is a Process.   A Journey.  Not a Destination.

 

We cannot expect Deng Wei to think and behave wisely and sensibly all the time.  To be so "Refined and Cultured" 24/7.  I know we can cover one's nose with the other hand while you pick with the other.  But sometimes it just slips one's mind.  Especially when you are so "tired".  Working from "One Daybreak" to the "Next Daybreak". Or to remember about "Second-Hand Smoke"??  At 28 years?  Unless you are someone who keep abreast of medical reports and articles all the time. 

 

And then they start to dig up the "Old Story" of Deng Wei throwing his cigarette butt on the floor.  When he has already apologised for it. As though he is doing it all the time.

 

In my daily life, I constantly meet people who are boastful, long-winded, aggressive, rude, inconsiderate, self-centred......  all the time.  Surely they are worse than "nose-picking" right?

 

It is so difficult to please these people.

 

I believe these photos/ clips were taken by An Insider.  Maybe one of the Crew Members who is Paid to do so.  Because they are taken at Very Close Range.

Well said. I personally think, particulary in Cdamaland, people tend to forget we are all humans after all. IMO no one is perfect, and I doubt those critisizing may lay their hand on a Bible and swear they are saints.

Today I would like to share a bit on the Star-Chasing business in Heng Dian.  So that you can understand better why Deng Wei wants to "cover himself up".  How the "Leaks" happen.  How and who  sensationalise things.  And why?

 

 

How To Start :

When you arrive in Hengdian, buy a copy of the latest announcements from the crew, sold by netizens on social media.

 

Check out the cast and crew's work schedule to find out which hotel the crew's dressing room is in. Then you can go and meet your favorite stars. 

 

Going to Hengdian to watch celebrities working and wearing makeup, is a popular star-chasing activity on social media.

 

 

Are Hengdian’s Star-Chasers Crazy? 

It depends on which groups they are and how they chase stars. 

 

The crowds of star-chasers in Hengdian are diverse. There are :

 

a) fans who come from thousands of miles away just to catch a glimpse of celebrities;

b) there are "station sisters" and "sasaeng" who chase celebrities who go to work and take photos of their faces;

c) there are live broadcast stars (anchors) who put on makeup and go to work.  Anchors will switch scenes to ask for rewards;

d) there are even "proxy photographers" who go up mountains, climb trees, and use drones to illegally take photos of celebrities at work and make videos for profit.

 

What Happen In November 2023?

In November, filming of many costume dramas started in Hengdian, and the celebrities’ work and makeup appearances were spread on various social media. These pictures and videos were created by Hengdian’s groupies and proxy photographers. It can be seen from these photos and videos that the crew and stars treat fans who stay at the hotel in different ways. 

 

-  Some celebrities are in a hurry and forget to sign autographs for their fans;

- Some celebrities are easy-going and patient, receiving letters, greetings, and asking fans to go home early;

- Some celebrities are bundled up in hats and masks and fly quickly to get into their nanny cars;

- Some celebrities are afraid to hide away and pull up fences to keep the groupies far away.

 

The hotel where the costume drama "Love Of The Divine Tree" is set, has a photo area specially prepared for fans of  Deng Wei.  

 

On a single day, there may be twenty or thirty people waiting here. They lined both sides of the short path where Deng Wei comes in and out of the makeup-room. 

 

There are fans here who stop to take photos.  As well as live broadcast anchors. 

 

Proxy Photographers :

Behind this is a huge grey industry chain. Proxy photographers are suspected of violating privacy, disrupting order, etc., and use various channels to film celebrity schedules and non-public crew scenes.

 

They sell pictures and videos to fan groups for profit. Judging from the videos shot by agents on social media, in order to capture exclusive content, they went to the mountains with long lenses, climbed trees, climbed fences, and even used drones.

 

The Difference Between The Crew And The Agents :

There are also many reports of conflicts. The reporter asked one of the agents about the price of taking photos of a certain actress, and the other person replied, "10 photos are 200 yuan.  No bargaining." It seems that the agent has no worries about selling pictures and videos. 

 

I hope you all understand now. Why  Deng Wei wants to cover himself up.  But I think this is a Losing Battle.
