I must say it is Super Difficult to succeed in Chinese Entertainment now.

 

The Actor or Actress have to :

(a)  Please the Investors.  Even to entertain them.

(b)  Please the Viewers in the Press Conferences.

(c)  Please the Fans.  

If you can bring in Capital, it is even better.

Perhaps, after Deng Wei announced his move “To wait”, overall C-Entertainment network felt that they are challenged. Excluding LOTDT production team, I think other parties, have also decided “To wait”, at present, just sitting back to observe what he has to offer.

 

I’d like to believe that the LOTDT production team is doing its best. Who doesn’t want their investment to fruit, right? I wish the outcome will ‘PLEASE’ everyone, hence MAKE Deng Wei.

1)  Weibo TV & Internet Summit

I would say this is an event for those who have filmed a lot of dramas.  Drama after drama.  So I do not have to list their names here.  You would know who they are.  In my opinion, this is an event, more for Quantity than Quality.  Most of the bigger stars are not here.  

 

It is not surprising for Deng Wei not to be here.  Afterall, he does not have any New Dramas broadcasted.  So, it would be out of place indeed, if he attends this event.  "Lost You Forever S.2" was featured here though. 

 

As an after thought, "Stars" dressed up in their best attires, competing with each other for beauty, and exuding charm in every gesture - is a Very Tiring Thing.

 

2)  Deng Wei Was Feared

Deng Wei's success, and thus popularity, is a "double-edged sword" in the Chinese Entertainment Industry.

 

While it makes him better known, a lot of actors along with their agency-bosses and investors are now wary of him.  Wary that if they cast him in their productions, he may "Over-shadow" their own stars.  Just like how the Producer of "Lost You Forever" feared him.

 

3)  Deng Wei Has A Small Face ?

I do not find his Face "small".  

 

a)  His face is quite long but not bulky.  And when he wears a "Fringe", his "Face" will definitely seems "Small".  Since his "Face" is narrow.  And the "Fringe" cuts down the "Length".  Making it looks "Small".

 

b)  He is tall.  So in proportion to his Height, his "Face" may indeed looks less prominent.

Deng Wei :   Only 💎's Who Truly Love Him Remains

 

Deng Wei has not announced any New Projects yet.  💎's are restless.

 

It is only Natural.  Because :

-  We Miss him.

-  We want to see his Performance.

-  We want to be Entertained.

 

But "Time" is the "Standard" for proving "Genuine Affections".   Only the "💎's" who truly love Deng Wei will stand this test of time.  And remain committed to him.

 

You should ask yourself :

-  "What is it that attracts you to him in the first place ?"

-  "What do you want from him ?"

 

If you run to another "Star", is there a Guarantee that this will never happen again ?

 

No doubt I want to watch him again in a New Drama or Movie.  But that is not the reason for me to "Abandon" him now.

 

There is actually, no necessity for a Star to keep on churning out several new dramas or movies every year.  This happens in China, because :

 

-  Of the Greed of the Investors.  They want to cash in on the Popularities of the Stars.  Use them as "Cash-Cows".  Once you lose your Appeals, they will not hesitate to cast you aside.  (Are you all like that too ?)

 

- The Intense Competition.  Every artiste is afraid to lose out.  Or their Contracts necessitate them to "Obey" their Agencies Bosses.

 

Of course, there is a "Probability" that Deng Wei's Agency may have made a Mistake.  A wrong decision.   But then, there is no reason to desert him based on that reason either.

 

I will only "Abandon" him if he has done something very wrong against women, society and humanity.  Something that my conscience cannot accept.  Something like some Actors or Actresses had done. 

 

You do not Divorce your other half if you find him or her boring and no longer interesting to you, do you?   If you do, it is because you love him or her on a sudden whim.  A fleeting interest.  Not real understanding or affection.  

 

Give it a thought !   And feel free to share your Opinions......

I was thinking about it a while ago. I suppose they were at least counting on that Rosy Clouds drama (sorry, can't remember the full name) to fill the "gap" between LYF and Love of the Divine Tree.

I'm also sure they got a number of scenarios after LYF. But I'm not sure they were offered ones with supposingly DW being a ML. So in this case they may have decided to decline. This for now is my main theory. 

 

I wonder what's the length and the terms of agreement between DW and the agency, for example if he has a "say" in taking a role. And if there are any obligations from the agency's side to provide him with a certain amount of work (drama shooting).

Yes.  But it is nothing serious as yet.

 

The authorities  issued "An Advice" to those students not to do such "Mass Bicycle Night Rides" again.   Saying, although fun for teenagers, it is Dangerous.  Because :

 

-  Of Safety reasons.  They are worried that the students might be hurt in a traffic accident for example.

-  They were Disrupting Traffic.

 

But the media was Quick to make it Political in nature.  I believe such "Mass Night Rides"  will not happen again.

I agree with you on :

(i)  the patience to wait  and 

(ii) as I've felt too.  The probability of erroneous forecast by his agency boss.  That "Take Me Where The Clouds Rise" (former title "Legend Of The Rosy Clouds" will air right after "Lost You Forever S.2" - to fill in the Gap. 

(iii) that his Agency Boss may have rejected Supporting Roles for him.

 

I am not so sure about the terms and conditions of his Contract Agreement  with his Agency.   Such things are normally P&C.  But I heard that he reserves the right to decline a project he does not like.

I have not got over this yet.  His soft-heartedness for his Fans.  Each time I watch this, my eyes still get wet.

 

This time we see it from another angle.  And how the security men were having a discussion before they started the "Walk-About".    Thanks to "Remi"

 

No "Stars" has ever gone on a "Walk-About" for their fans, especially when they are attending an important event.

 

Special Note :

I want to draw all your Attention to the Man who was shouting out to Deng Wei.  He and his mother is a Huge Fan of Deng Wei. 

 

When Deng Wei was filming "Love Of The Divine Tree", he was there several times.  Including Deng Wei's final day of filming.

 

A Competitor's Fan used his "Shout-Outs" and edited the Name of the Star.  He used it for "That Star" when he was walking to his pick-up car.

*  The Voice and Tone, is clearly that of this Man.

*  So are the Words of the Shout-Out.

*  Only the Name of the Actor he was shouting to, was different.

 

Can you all imagine the Audacity of this Anti-Fan ??  That particular actor was also in Paris for the Fashion Week.  (So every Fan of Deng Wei must be very careful of what you hear or read, about Deng Wei.  These people will do anything to subvert him)

@leo2020   I guess you may have read about the supposed Chinese Government's Opposition to this Ride from You Tube or the Internet.  

 

To me that is untrue.  Foreign Media always Raise the Alarm unnecessarily whenever it comes to the Chinese Government.  It creates more Harm than it really is.  I prefer to read such news with a "Birds' Eyes View" Mentality.  Taking History into accounts.

 

I will not wade into Politics.  But the Mass Night Ride did indeed cause Traffic Congestion.

My main point was - hopefully fans would check and double check, and if there is the slightest possibility that the event might [officially/rumored to] be disapproved by the authorities- better to step back and use another opportunity.
