Deng Wei's double issue of Figaro magazine sold over 120,000 copies in less than 8 hours, with sales exceeding 6.2 million. Deng Wei has achieved such a feat without any promotion.  And he is Not Even In China.  He is really awesome! 

 

Congratulations to 💎's  too.  It is all your Coordinated Efforts and Supports that make these possible.

 

I was really moved today.  It is this kind of Reckless Love.  I read that :

* The 💎's in Taiwan work desperately,

* The 💎's overseas stay up late to worry about Weiwei.  Adding orders,

* And there are 💎's who are so worried that they keep adding orders,

* And the little 💎's send private messages everywhere.  Worrying, laying, and working hard.

Briefly :

1) I have been doing "Spring-Cleanings" on the Older Pages of this Forum.  Just did till Page 29.  Removing weibo and twitter clips which no longer work.  

2) I just started reading the Novel of "Love Of The Divine Tree".  I am up to Chapter 10 only. 

3) Tattoos : I never read about the other actors.  Past few days, I did some "browings".  Discovered that quite a few of them had "Tattoos" too.  One of them is quite recent. But nobody paid any attentions.  Or raised any objections to them.  A lot of them, even actresses, smoke too.  But nobody tried to take "Pictures" of them doing it - to "Fire Up The Public's Indignations".   The "Power" of "Anti's".

Deng Wei's tattoos were done when he was "Young" & "Innocent".  A phase which most of use had went through too.  So it is quite acceptable. 

4) I am glad Deng Wei's last Personal Assistant left.  Deng Wei had so much problems when he was around.  And, for a while after he left.  

5) The Anti's are busy "Doctoring" and circulating Deng Wei's clips and photos from the just ended DIOR Paris Fashion Week. They are "Jealous" of his success. But I am no longer interested in them.  Because we Know The Truth.  Just mention it to keep you all informed.

I love Deng Wei's Performance.  Every scene of his is so "Online".  His "Lines-Delivery" too.   

He was overpowered by an "Evil Spirit" when he "removed"  Mu Qingge's "Spiritual Lifeline."  He looks so "Wicked & Naughty" at that moment.  And then Broken-Hearted when he awakens.

Let’s talk about the Brand Ambassadors that I admire ~

1)  Deng Wei is the Dior brand ambassador ~

2) Tilda Swinton is Channel brand ambassador & a Scottish actress

 

a) They have the same characteristics.  Not anxious, not impatient, not rushing for exposure.  And not rushing to produce a large number of works in the entertainment industry.

b) Have a clear positioning of themselves. Have a vision [Star R] and have a stable core.

c) Focus on every moment and every work. Not only do they have high quotients, but they are both wise.

Deng Wei :  There Is No Need To Look Down On Him

 

There is no need to pass Sarcastic Remarks on Deng Wei just because he is bidding his time before taking the next step.

 

Most, if not all actors and actresses, are busy taking on one project after another.  I would like to ask.  How many of their projects are Outstanding?  How many of them Explode?

 

Sometimes I feel so "tired" and "embarrassed" for them. 

 

Apart from being anxious about keeping up with others.  And rushing mad to be famous and make loads of money, do they ever stop to make a "Deep Self-Reflection"?  

 

How then, can you cultivate your Mind and Wisdom?  And be a Better Person?

 

Results?  Scandal after scandal.  Because they have become so "Empty & Impoverished" in their Souls.

 

Even as in the just-ended "DIOR Fashion Week In Paris", fans of one particular actress, kept comparing her with Deng Wei.  Saying that their actress is accorded better treatments: better hotel, sent directly to the venue entrance, sitting with hollywood stars, taking photos with higher-level Dior executives, promptly whisked away after the event (no need to walk far) .....

 

Another example of "Empty-Headedness".

I finished LDT novel a while ago... its a fun and simple story plot but I enjoyed it very much! However I think the drama changed somethings, so hopefully its not too drastic! 

Tattoos: many of them have tattoos yes lol
My one and only concern is we won't be able to get brooding shower scenes from Dengwei ever unless they find a way to paint it out... its a topic we discussed very very seriously hahahahaha 
And when will we ever see his abs in a photoshoot? *cries*

Yeah some who tried super hard to get 'seen' at the Fashion week events failed to do so in spite of alot of money and effort, so its to be expected. 

I dislike DW smoking more for his own health. Vaping is also bad actually, even though it tries to market itself as harmless... sigh... but that is his own freedom... some Kpop singers I love smoke alot too, and those people use their voices for their work... 

Now I am just waiting for LDT to air! LOL

@chicha  Ditto.  I care more for his Health than anything else.  Apart from that, smoking is his personal choice. No need to dislike him for that.

 

Yeah.  Waiting impatiently for "Love Of The Divine Tree" to air.  Spring-Cleaning: I am up to Page 42.  Sometimes, when the clips do not work anymore, I don't know what to replace the "Empty Space" with.  😒

Deng Wei was trending on the internet for wearing "A Facial Mask" during the fashion week.  He was chatised and criticised for it.

 

Some fans and haters go crazy.  Maybe it was because they cannot see his Face.  Some anti's nastily claimed that he is hiding his "Plastic Surgery".  And have "Social Phobias".

 

It is crazy.  Who would be so stupid as to do PS when you on the verge of making a Major Appearance Overseas?

 

Deng Wei has been consistently wearing a Facial Mask since 2023.  He does that occasionally too during his university days.  

 

He wore it to work everyday while filming "Love Of The Divine Tree". 

 

He is the kind of person who tries to wear a Facial Mask if he can.  He only takes it out when he is not allowed to.  Or when it is inappropriate.

 

For this Fashion Week, he took the initiative to fight for wearing a Facial Mask.  "I can just wear a mask, and take it off when I am nearby.".

 

It was agreed and he wore it.  He only removed it when he was about to enter the venue, as agreed.

 

This is a Proper Protective Action.

 

Deng Wei is a very Health Conscious Person.  Guess he has been taught to do so from young.   He carries "Dental Floss" with him wherever he goes.

 

So there is no need to make up stories to soil his Reputation and Popularity.

After the trailer was released yesterday morning, I received some private messages from my peers, hoping that I would come out and praise the original lines that I was supporting.  It shows that everyone was impressed.

 

Unfortunately, I was too busy during the day and really couldn't spare the time. Now that I have time to carefully review the trailer several times, I feel that it is necessary to follow this topic to talk about what is a truly good line. And by the way, what is a truly good performance.

In the past two years, judging lines seems to have become a trend. A random search on major platforms will bring up a bunch of posts or videos. After watching some of them, basically everyone has their own standards. Of course, it is understandable that the judgment of art is subjective. But if you have to come up with a relatively authoritative standard, the best way is to return to the academic school and see how the teaching traditions of major professional colleges define good lines. It can basically be summarized in seven words: loose, pure, clear, distant, beautiful, durable, and deep.

The meanings of these seven words are as follows:
Loose: the lines are relaxed, neither slack nor deliberate
Pure: pure pronunciation
Clear: clear pronunciation (cannot swallow words and sounds)
Far: the sound can be transmitted far (volume has requirements)
Beauty: it is not the pursuit of beautiful and pleasant sound, but in line with the role, can accurately convey the character's thoughts, emotions, and feelings
Endurance: the sound is stable and lasting
Deep: deeply express the character's emotions (the focus is on expressing them on the basis of deep understanding and feeling)

To achieve the above seven points, from the technical and professional training level, we will pay attention to breathing, breath, articulation, voice, pronunciation, tone, tone change, tone change, intonation, tone, stress, pause, speed, rhythm, volume, strength, etc.  Each of which has a professional training method.  But there is a major trap here. That is, each of the disassembled items can indeed be improved through professional training.  But when it comes to the moment of performance, many people still cannot do the seven words and cannot let the audience into the play through the lines.  So the question is:  What is the reason?

To answer this question, we need to first clarify another question: what is the aesthetic concept of film and television dramas? In fact, it is just two words: reality.

It is an artistic reality that comes from life and is higher than life. It conforms to the internal logic and essence of life and has aesthetic value. This is the ultimate direction of our evaluation of an actor, including his voice, lines, body movements, expression changes and all other skills. It is also the fundamental reason why we hate staring, facial paralysis, and exaggerated performances.

Therefore, all the elements of performing arts, including the voice, stage, shape and performance that we often mention, must serve closely around this aesthetic concept. No matter how standard your pronunciation is and how clear your words are, if you are separated from the real reaction and behavior of the character in the prescribed situation, if you cannot correctly highlight the real motivation of the character and cannot accurately convey the real emotions of the character.  The result will invariably make the audience feel out of the play.  And the reason why the audience feels out of the play is precisely because they are separated from the authenticity.

What is the essence of performing arts? It is to act in the name of the role in the prescribed situation. It is worth noting that the action here not only includes body language and movements, but also facial expressions and lines.

 

Many actors tend to isolate several parts when performing. His lines, body movements, and facial expressions are all independent and cannot form a combined force. Therefore, his performance lacks integrity and loses authenticity. On the other hand, a good performance cannot have bad lines.

 

Here we can take Tu Shanjing as an example. Although I am worried about using dubbing in 🍞, based on some of the leaked original audio videos I have heard, I think he has done a good job in "accurately conveying the thoughts, emotions, and feelings of the characters."

 

This shows that he can grasp the core of things, which is the most important point. And belongs to the level of "Tao".  All the levels of "art" can be improved through a lot of systematic training.

Are there any counter-examples? There are too many. There are many actors who have good basic skills at the "art" level, with clear pronunciation, accurate pronunciation, correct pronunciation, and intonation... But once they are in the play, they can't control their skills.

 

They like to take the tone very much. They start to speak the lines and they are very good. They want to let the whole world see that he is acting and want to let the whole world know that he is a broadcaster. This is a typical case of only treating lines as lines, without knowing that lines themselves are a kind of action, and need to serve the characteristics and authenticity of the characters.

Let's go back to the performance of Deng Wei in today's trailer. He really made every performance element forms a synergy.

 

Instead of praising his lines alone, I would like to praise (1) his lines, (2) his body movements and (3) his facial expressions. The unity and integrity of the three will make the audience feel the liveliness and reality of the characters immediately.  So that the audience can easily enter Su Yi Shui's emotional and spiritual world and empathize with his experience. 

His lines in the trailer gave everyone a big surprise. Many people were excited and happy about it, which is understandable.

 

Because his lines really achieved the loose, pure, clear, distant, beautiful and deep in the textbooks.  But for me, what is more exciting is that I can catch a glimpse of his ability to grasp the essence and core of things every time.

 

Some people will pick up sesame seeds and lose watermelons in the process of progress, and some people will indulge in art and forget the Tao. But I never forgot the aesthetic concept and essence of performing arts.

 

He (Deng Wei as Su Yi Shui) never lost sight of the main point and never deliberately showed off his skills. Everything was for the role. Everything was only for the role.

How reassuring it is.

My Say:  Yes. I am "Reassured".  I Am So Proud Of Deng Wei.  After reading this, my eyes are "Moist".

In the past, Deng Wei is a new actor.  The dramas he acted in, did not give him a chance to show what he is capable of.  Everyone only saw the "Live-Recording" in various titbits.

Even when he showed his skills, in "Lost You Forever", the Production Investors will quickly move to suppress him.  Because they do not want him to "Outshine" their own stars.  This is so stupid, because what he did, can only be Good for "Lost You Forever", and nothing else.  How can a Boss be Jealous of a Staff who helps to raise the standard of  his productions?  To penalise someone for doing his job well?  A good boss would want everyone to do well, isn't it?

 

So Sad.

 

 

 

I went to a Ballet show last weekend. Bolero impressed me the most. Or was it the masculine shirtless male dancers. Opps !  Anyway, Deng Wei popped into my mind when I was watching the show.

 

I’m no expert but this is what I think. Deng Wei majored in ballet. Ballet dancers express their roles, not only in their movements but in their face expressions as well. Indirectly, he has been doing ‘expressions’, conveying all his ‘emotions’ to his ‘ballet’ for many years. For Drama, he needs to add on 1 more, (or many more add ons... ) that is to convey the emotions into words, which he does pretty well too.

DIOR's official IG officially recognised Deng Wei as their Stylist for this Paris Fashion Week.  And their Brand Ambassador.  Deng Wei's trip has been an Absolute Success !! 

 

We await his Final Photoshoots.

 I waited for Dior to update 3 days after the event. It felt so long ... When it came out, Deng Wei was in the 3rd picture. Sigh ... I wish he is the 1st one. The comments are mostly for Deng Wei. Mmm... Then, Reuter chose his picture, that made my day.

Actually TJC had not officially sued Deng Wei's fans. It was more like a warning letter, not official submission of a lawsuit. 

And yes on suppression of Tushan Jing on LYF S2! They removed so much of TSJ's meaningful scenes and redistributed his scenes and lines to other characters. But nobody can stop Deng wei's TSJ from shining brightly! 

On weibo's summer drama chart for discussion volume, Tushan Jing won out the number 2 spot of Xiangliu by nearly double of his total! 1.5亿 vs 7414万! After spending all that money and effort, I guess thats why some people can't 'stay still' and are shaking in rage... We have to protect our Deng wei! 

 

If they had kept the original Jing's highlights, Deng Wei would have been unstoppable. Frankly, I am worried of the 'politics' ... Like it or not, money is power. Mmm ...
