Not every actor works hard.  Most will use "Stand-In's" for strenuous and dangerous shootings.  But Deng Wei is one actor who insists on doing it himself.  I feel that for dangerous situations he should allow a "Stand-In" to do it for him.  Especially when he had suffered serious injuries before.  An Actor Is Not A Stuntman.   I mean he should reserves his Energy For Acting.  Act Well and do your best in your Work.  But he must also take care of his Health and Safety.

Deng Wei :  Interesting Excerpts From His Interview With "Ellemen"

1)  Dancing was his family's idea at first.  And of course he liked it too.  Because it was very graceful. (So he is an obedient child after all).

 

2) He also does not care about bad reviews. He has his own confidence, "As an actor, I know very well what I need to care about.  That is the work itself, and my role. I hope that once my work is released, everyone will see my dedication.  That is enough. Other comments do not matter. No two people are exactly the same. This is my personality in private. It's okay if you hate me. It's none of my business."

 

3)  When Deng Wei shot for a fashion magazine for the first time.  His parents asked him to sign. He was surprised. "We are all family, why do you want me to sign?" His parents replied : "This is your first time shooting for a magazine.  It's different.  Sign your name and we will keep it." Deng Wei obliged : "Okay, it's meaningful. I'll sign."

 

4)  Deng Wei comes from the vast Inner Mongolia, where the grasslands have left a unique temperament in him. "The atmosphere and desire for freedom in the Northwest make it hard to accept rigid constraints. We need our own space and active motivation." He wants a simple life. "If I want to travel, I will go with three or five friends. If I have more time, I will spend more time with my family." He talked to us in detail about his experience of camping in the mountains with his family. At night, he looked out of the tent to look at the stars, which seemed to be within reach. "I got goose bumps at that time."  (Which shows that he is a very Spiritual & Contemplative Person)

 

5) He believes that the simpler, the happier.  He tries to find a balance between personal space and public attention. His most basic rule is "Work hard when you are at work.  Rest well after get off work.  Don't do too many confusing things."

 

6) After getting off work, Deng Wei's way of relaxing sounds both relaxing and immersive. "Take off the heavy costumes.  Change into home clothes. Remove makeup.  Lie down on the bed.  Order takeout when hungry.  Watch a movie or have a video call with family."

 

7) A day is a day of happiness and a day of unhappiness.  So why not make yourself happier? Deng Wei thinks so. Keeping a happy mood will help you think rationally when encountering things. Instead of letting your emotions get the better of you. "I am extremely extroverted now," he said with a big laugh. You will truly feel that this is an interesting young man.

Thanks to your post, I got to know about the Ellemen sale. I specifically told my colleague, Alan to order within the 100 minutes.  He did. 😚
