Gosh, that could be Covid, or a flu, and they still decided to go with the event(((. 

I once did a stupid thing and attended work with such temperature and condition. I payed with a complication, that is now with me for the rest of my life. 

With such a fever you need to lie still in your bed, otherwise when you move the virus/bacteria is spreading through your body really fast(((...

I know the Cdramaland business is really cruel, and stars often work while they are sick...I just hope it ends one day(((.

On this note, I have something to share with you and all of Deng Wei's fans.

 

The Big Wigs in the C-Entertainment World are very Snobbish People. 

Being "Popular" is not enough.   Being an Accomplished Actor is not enough.  Just like Deng Wei / Tu Shan Jing.  

 

What matters is whether they like you or not.   Whether they look up to you or not.

 

In "Lost You Forever S.2", it is exceedingly obvious, that they were trying to "Clamp Down"  Deng Wei.  They Did Not give him any "Face" at all.

 

I have no qualms at all about the other 3 Male Actors.  No prejudice at all.  But when I saw how they :

-  increase the Screen-Time and Exposure of Zhang Wan Yi

-  as well as "Innovate" his Story-Line,

 

I know something "Fishy" is up.

 

It has now been revealed that Tencent has an "Eye" for Zhang Wan Yi.  They want to take him under their "Wings", to develop him. 

 

Not only have they assign him their own agent, but also planned a comprehensive plan for his resources.  So it is only a matter of time for him to become popular.

 

Actors who are favored by big companies will develop faster.  Just as how Chen Zhe Yuan and Zhang Ling He are also supported by big companies.  For them, I cannot remember whether it is iQiyi or Tencent.  

 

Note:  But I believe Deng Wei would not want to develop this way.  He is someone who value his Freedom.  It may be a more difficult road.  But if successful, it will be more Meaningful and Satisfying.

 

 

How Do You Feel About "Lost You Forever S.2" ?

I did not feel anything at all.  The Story-Line is so Ridiculous.  From Ep 1 - 23.  Everything just run so perfunctorily.  Like they just want to end the Series, that is all.  Never mind the Story, Logic or Original Plot.

 

The Scene where Xuan admitted that he had planned the killing of Tu Shan Jing.  Even though it was edited to be a Dream, it looks so "Comical" to me.  I cannot feel anything at all.  Even though both Yang Zi & Zhang Wan Yi did their best to act with full emotions, I actually find it  "So Comical".  "So Caricature".

 

It is not about Deng Wei or Tu Shan Jing.   It is about keeping the Story logical,  credible.   And thus "Enjoyable".

 

I am sure a lot of those people who made up the over 6 Millions Reservations, must have felt "STUPID!".   "CONNED!".

"I will often think of you.  Seeing the familiar image, even for a moment, can make me feel like I am back in Qingshui Town again.  I think I will always remember all this.

 

"Thank you 'Lost you Forever Family'.  Thank you for everyone's company.  The road ahead is long.  No matter where you are, I think you can see me when you look back."

 

Note:

Even his Farewell Message is from the perspective of "Tu Shan Jing".  He really loves "Tu Shan Jing".  He is as gentle and considerate as "Tu Shan Jing".

Honestly I'm not sure what to say either. Thankfully, at least they followed the original story's ending and our fox prince got the girl he suffered so much for. 

BTW. It's my understanding in the end they decided to release all remaining episodes in one go??? (I was a bit behind watching them) 

I remember I read somewhere,  than it means the drama is doing really bad and the creators want to avoid further rating dropping, so they just put everything they have online to squeeze all money possible during this "last jump".

Great words. As long as he is happy with what he is doing, he will definitely succeed. I'm absolutely sure Dior would only choose a worthy person as a brand representative. They saw everything we see in him, and what the haters/blackies do not.

I follow CZY from the times he was a nobody from nowhere. He was mocked for being too short, overweight (here we go again),for lacking acting skills and so on. Winner is King should have been his and Tan Jian Ci's "golden ticket" to the top. At least if it was good enough.  And now it probably will never see the light of the day. Such a waste of money and work...

I know he is now "groomed" by Iqiyi's executive. Honestly I'm not that happy about it. Bcs it will make limits for him as an actor. But at least he is now valued for who he is. 

Re ZLH- I have nothing to say, I can't see anything in him everyone is so hyped about. Both his looks and his acting are IMO quite mediocre...to say the least.

There is something I didn't like though.  His partner actress from Divine Tree is already doing some kind of promo for her next drama with Wang Xing Yue.  Character posters and everything. That drama is also made by Iqiyi, also is scheduled for 2025... I'm very concerned.

Hopefully they would do good job for Divine Tree. And won't favor another drama on an expense of Deng Wei's drama.

(1) They had to keep to the same Ending as in the Novel.  Otherwise the whole S.2 will Collapse.

(2) You are Correct.  The Final Douban Score is 6.1. Imagine if they had stuck to their 2 eps per day?

Ah yes.  It is iQiyi.  I do not like to make a Post unless I am very Sure.    But iQiyi was on my mind.

Do you know? There is a Big Hoo Ha about Julia Xiang with Wang XY.  That they were dating.  WXY is having some -ve news himself: lying about his Age, etc....   But they have Yu Zheng to cover for them.

"Love Of The Divine Tree" is slated for 1st Quarter 2025.  Hopefully it will do well.  Deng Wei needs that.  Too bad "Take Me Where The Clouds Rise" (Old Title: "Legend Of The Rosy Clouds" is facing some Copyrights issues.  Otherwise it should premiere by now.

It's ok. Basically the flu virus damaged my heart. I'm relatively young, so it's manageable with some meds. But I need to go through yearly checks, can't do intensive/active sport like running,etc...

Agree. I read bcs of the issues they put The Double in it's place. Very sad. Hopefully Iqiyi will resolve the matter.

Deng Wei :   He Went To The Hospital Last Night

 

Paparazzis took a Clip of Deng Wei going to the hospital last night, accompanied by his Manager.  So he has not recovered yet.

 

Deng Wei was wearing a simple T-Shirt, a Shorts that reached just beneath his knees, and Slippers.  Very low-keyed.

 

For someone to rush to a hospital late at night like that, I am sure he must be feeling Very Sick.  Fortunately, he was not filming yet.  So he can afford to wake up late the next day.  Or have an extended rest.

 

As for the paparazzis, who are they to call Deng Wei "sloppy"?  Taking sneaky photos of someone else is already unethical.  Does one has to dress up to see a doctor?

 

Some Netizens said Deng Wei did Not pay "Protection Fees" to the paparazzis.  Some artistes do.   So they will dress up fashionably even on such private occasions.  Why?  Because they know that the paparazzis will be there to take favorable photos of them.

Deng Wei :   An Actor Who Sticks To His Principles

I am tempted to write this about Deng Wei after witnessing the unjust treatment of him in "Lost You Forever Season 2".   

 

People like to call him a "Traffic Star".   But I disagree.  Because his "Traffic" is not created by "Capital".  As we know now, he is not supported by any big company or investor.

 

But by his own efforts, works and character.

 

He comes from a Dance Drama Major.  And was new to "acting".  But he never gave up.

 

He faces all kinds of ridicules, slanders, prejudices and set-backs.  But he perseveres.

 

He finally has some traffic, because he is a Good Actor.  He proved it.

 

This kind of  "Traffic" is respected by the public and is "Positive Traffic" that helps the healthy development of the film and television industry.  

 

"Traffic" is originally a "neutral word".  But it has become a "derogatory word" because some people's abilities cannot match the traffic.

 

But it is not the case with Deng Wei.  He is a model of strength and traffic matching and mutual achievement.  He is an excellent actor who has the courage to step out of his comfort zone. To be different.  He is willing to hold-out for the "Right Scripts". Has deep thoughts.  Is handsome and has acting skills.  Is low-key and humble. Sincere to his Fans. And purely wants to perform well.

 

He deserves more opportunities and choices, to allow him to give better works back to the audience.

 

I wish him all the best.  And hope he will realise his dreams soonest possible.

 

Footnote:

Right after I have finished typing, I  saw the latest news, which gave us some "silly excuses" from the Directors of "Lost You Forever". They made 2 "Weibo Posts" (1st Post is the Pix showing Deng Wei throwing his E-Cigarette on the road. 2nd Post is Yu Zheng scolding him) saying that Deng Wei's scenes in "Lost You Forever S.2" were cut and minimised because the Investors were concerned about the exposure of his "Black News" after "Lost You Forever S.1" was successfully broadcasted in July 2023.

 

They said that no one wants a Big Drama that they have worked hard to invest in, to be removed from the shelves because of the improper behavior of an actor.  Namely, the "Cigarettes-throwing case" and Yu Zheng's rantings.

 

So the Directors are being IRRESPONSIBLE AND PUTTING ALL THE BLAME ON DENG WEI.  This the Worst Backstabbing I have ever seen.  How do we know if this is true? They Do Not Care about the consequences for Deng Wei, with this kind of remarks.  They only care about themselves.

 

In my opinions, they are more horrified by Deng Wei's youthful photos: Pink Handcuffs, Girlie Hairdos, Tattoos...  In Reality, they cannot accept these youthful dallies.  In Private, these businessmen are themselves guilty of even worse behaviors.

Deng Wei :   Photoshoots & Interview With The "6th Princess"

 

Today Deng Wei was interviewed by the "Sixth Princess" again.   "Sixth Princess" is CCTV6 - the Ultimate Entertainment Channel.   To be interviewed by them is considered An Honor.  

 

He is without any MakeUp.  And still taking medicines. 

 

Most interviews will ask more or less the same questions.  But briefly :

1) He first talk about his most famous character - Ye Shi Qi & Tu Shan Jing.

2) He mentioned that he loves his job.  Being able to transform into another person.  And conveys the emotions onto the audience.

3) He said that most of his projects happen to be costume or period dramas. But fortunately all the character-roles are different. (I think secretly he must be yearning for a "Modern-Day Character-Role") 

4) He said that Actors are chosen professions.  They are selected for a role.  It is not like he can choose the scripts and play the roles he wants.

5) Talking about getting "Famous", he says: "Being popular is not the Standard for an Actor's success.  That it is an honor to participate in Excellent Works. He will be more strict with himself, to bring more different works to everyone. And what he has to do, is to be more Professional and let the audience see his growth and progress". 

6) Finally, he also talks about his hometown.  He recommends tourist attractions in Inner Mongolia.  And said that the meat in Hohhot is delicious.

Why He Takes So Long To Choose His Next Project

The Television and Film Businesses in China is not in the best of health right now.  A lot of companies are closing down.   Projects shelved.

 

Which is why Deng Wei is bidding his time.

 

Most actors choose to switch to the Big Screen (Movies) if they can.  Because that is where they can gain Global Popularity fast.  But only a few can make a successful transition. Examples: Zhu Yi Long (with his own skills), Xiao Zhan (because he has the support of investors).  It is not easy to make the Transition.  Risks are involved.  There are a few who cannot make it and have to return to the "small screen (TV series)".

 

Deng Wei understands his own situations.  His next move is very important.  If he succeeds, good.  If not, he will need time to "Resurrect" his Reputation and Popularity again - not only in TV dramas, but also in Product Endorsements.

 

Scripts offered to him do not have his "Best Interests" at heart.  These production people only want to "cash-in" on his Popularity.  One false move and everything he has worked so hard for, will crumble.  

 

And then of course.  One has to ascend the "Ladder of Hierarchy" step by step.  Despite his current burst of Popularity, Deng Wei has yet to reach a "Status" where the industry bigwigs will come marching for him.

 

Most other actors take on project after project.  And you can see the consequences.  Do they explode immediately? They probably have to accept these projects, because their big bosses tell them to do so.  That is the disadvantage of being with a Big Company.  Or being supported by a Big Investor.

 

Deng Wei was recently scouted by a Big Company too.  But he humbly rejected the "Offer".

 

So let us wait a little longer.    May "Lady Luck" shines on him.

It's my understanding for some reason in Cdramaland it's considered smth like "easy come-easy go hype of low quality",yes? ... for me it just means "popular". Nothing more. And in China it's obviously really hard for actors/artists to achieve "popularity" bcs of the amount of people eager to climb to the top of the lagger. 

So, nothing bad here. As the saying goes "If you are talking behind my back, this just means I'm way ahead of you".

Emmm...at this stage of his career I probably won't recommend it. Surely it would be a great move in future, but not now. IMO he should build a name for himself first.
