"Qi Zheng Studio" was involved in the production of "Love Of The Divine Tree".

 

Yesterday, Wednesday, 8 May 2024, they had a booting ceremony for another iQiyi  drama called "Calming Waves" (English title).  Chinese title is "Ding Feng Bo".  Julia Xiang Han Zhi is the Lead Actress.

 

So, our baby, Deng Wei diplomatically sent them a Flower-Stand, wishing them a "Good Start"

Yes.  The female lead is Julia Xiang Han Zhi, and Wang Xing Yue (Yu Zheng's actor is the ML)     But still - Deng Wei is so Diplomatic.   

 

Deng Wei is keeping us on "Tenther Hooks".  Guessing what is his Next Drama.  And when is he joining the group.  I have problems accessing  "Twitter" nowadays.

Deng thanked his fans for celebrating the third anniversary of his debut.  He also wished them happy birthday. Saying that 💎's will immediately be 3 Years Old now.

 

He said that he was very happy to have 💎's and hoped that they could move forward together in the future.

On the occasion of Mother’s Day, the film “爱为强" ("Love Gives Empowerment - Rebirth of Vitality”) starring Deng Wei looks so heart-warming.  Deng Wei transformed into a train conductor, looking very handsome in his uniform.  He saw one of the mother's hair are dropping.  So he gave her a bottle of the Kerastase's Hair Care Serum.

 

He sent his best wishes to all mothers on the journey of vitality:  "May you be strong to face life.  Leave some vitality for yourself."

Young actor Deng Wei was praised by the martial arts director - Instructor Wu for his martial arts skills.

 

In addition to speaking highly of Deng Wei's martial arts prowess, instructor Wu also specifically mentioned that Deng Wei's diligent,  and dedicated work attitude during the filming period was impressive.

 

He said: "Deng Wei never refuses any action scenes. He concentrates on every rehearsal. Even if he encounters the most difficult actions, he will practise them again and again until he perfects them."

 

 

 

This kind of persistent pursuit of work is really rare among young actors.

 

Instructor Wu said that he has been in the industry for so many years and has rarely seen actors like Deng Wei, who is so eager to learn and is so motivated at such a young age. Since there is nothing "new" on Deng Wei today, I will post my opinions on a number of issues.  All of you are welcomed to join in the discussions, add in your thoughts.

 

 

1) 10 May 2024 Celebrations of the 3rd Anniversary of Deng Wei's Debut As An Actor :

 

Is it really a 3rd Anniversary? 

 

a) Due to Yu Zheng's "poisonous" and "unfounded" rantings, Deng Wei was without any work for 8 long months. 

b) Deng Wei finished filming "Love Of The Divine Tree" on 18 February 2024. Until 10 May 2024, it has been 3 long months.

 

So when you take in these idle 8 + 3 months into account, the duration of Deng Wei's debut is actually about 2 years 1 month only.

 

So his "Explosion" has been pretty fast.  No wonder so many parties are "blocking" his way.

 

 

2) Co-Starring With Yang Zi in "Lost You Forever" Expedited Deng Wei's Rise In Popularity :

 

I would disagree with that.  If Deng Wei cannot act, no actress no matter how popular can help him gain fame.  In fact, their disparity in their performances will only hasten his downward fall.

 

Viewers are "enchanted" by Deng Wei, because being a "Pretty New Actor" with no professional background, he is able to match up to Yang Zi as Ye Shi Qi and Tu Shan Jing.

 

Yang Zi's status as a popular actress, does help in a minor way.  But we "cannot" contribute Deng Wei's rise in fame entirely to her.  That would be a Great Injustice to Deng Wei's efforts and charms.

 

Deng Wei arouses people's affections and curiosity.  That is what earns him the "Instant Burst Of Popularity".

 

 

3) "Love Of The Divine Tree" :

Do not miss it !

 

One of the reasons Bai Jing Ting rejected this role is because the Male Lead was an unlikeable character.   And the story was based on the Female Lead's view point - "female centric". 

 

But when Deng Wei accepted it, the Script was changed to the Male-Lead's point-of-view.  Which is why in the Special Episode, we hear Su Yi Shui's Voice-Over in the opening scene.

 

Su Yi Shui is such an interesting and layered character.  Due to his low status in the palace, he became a very conflicted person.  Always struggling with himself :

- to be good or evil ?

- to love or hate his master, Mu Qing Ge ?

 

In most dramas when "amnesia" happens, the story becomes very frustrating to watch.

 

But in "Love Of The Divine Tree", it actually enhances the story.  Ran Ran thought he loves her because of what happened between them in the past.  But when Su Yi Shui lost his memory, he never stops loving her.  In fact, it helps him to find his "true-self".

 

I am sure that is why Deng Wei accepted this role.  Especially after the Obedient Tu Shan Jing.  Deng Wei wants to :

 

-  challenge himself

-  avoid stereo-typing himself

-  give us a good drama to watch

 

I could not wait to watch this !
