Deng Wei:   "Lost You Forever"

 

There is a lot of Criticisms about Deng Wei's performance as "Tu Shan Jing" in  "Lost You Forever".   But I personally think he has done well. 

 

He gave "Life" to Tu Shan Jing.   Tu Shan Jing is the most flawless among the 3 Main Male Leads.  Deng Wei's performance is unexaggerated.  And therefore, not "Greasy".

 

It is very "Brave" of him to accept this role.

First: 

During the casting process, no famous actors wanted to play the role.

 

Because Tu Shan Jing is so flat and dull. He has a kind-hearted way of handling things, which is a bit cowardly.  So he is not popular.  Those who have read the Novel will know what I mean. 

 

Xu Kai was originally offered Tu Shan Jing's role. Yu Zheng persuaded him not to accept because it is a Second Male Lead.  Xu Kai went for the Male-Lead Role in "Snow Eagle Lord" which did not do well.  And was later jealous of Deng Wei's success.  I am sure you all know what YZ had done. He even wrote a slanderous article about Deng Wei, using very "Vulgar Words".

 

Second: 

When the filming of the drama started, Deng Wei was not well-known.  Some media did not even know who he was. Unexpectedly, it became his "Break-Out Role".  Winning him a lot of business resources.

 

Third:

He is a Non-Professional, "Wedged" between two well-established actors. Deng Wei was the most inexperienced. The youngest. He only debuted in late 2020.  With zero representative work.  Filming mainly as second or third male leads.  He is not from a Major.  He graduated from the Dance Drama Department of the Central Academy of Drama.  And thus has zero experience in acting.  

 

A serious injury to his Legs and Waist put paid to his Dancing Career.  His injury was never completely healed.  Even now, when filming some strenuous scenes, he has to wear a "Girdle" to protect his Waist.

 

Zhang Wan Yi, aged 29 started out much earlier in 2017. He graduated from the Performance Department of Beijing Film Academy in 2013.  His representative works include "The Awakening Age" and "Children Of The Qiao Family".

 

Tan Jian Ci, aged 33 is from the Beijing Sports University.  And had been active since 2010.  He was previously a member of the Chinese Idol Group - M.I.C.  His representative works include "The Advisors Alliance", Secret of the Three Kingdoms", "Winter Begonia".

Deng Wei:   Refute Rumours Of A Relationship

 

On October 5, news of Chen Duling and Deng Wei's relationship spread.

 

The reason was that Chen Duling posted a photo during the Mid-Autumn (Moon-Cake) Festival.  And netizens started to gather clues of  their relationship from the pictures.  (See the picture below)

 

 

The two hands looked different.  Of course!  If you want to take a "Selfie", you need help right?  And Netizens suggested that the Hand on the Right belongs to Deng Wei.

 

Come on.  Deng Wei has  pair of very slim, long and beautiful Hands!   Besides, he was still filming "The Legend Of Rosy Clouds" on that day. Until very late at night.

 

 

 

 

Chen Duling posted a background photo (left) of herself.  And the same building also appeared in Deng Wei's live broadcast (right). From the picture, the iconic buildings in the background are exactly the same.  But the angle and time are different. One is from the afternoon live broadcast.  The other one is a photo taken at night. Besides, Deng Wei's Live Broadcast was done in May 2023.  So many months ago.

 

An intelligent person will know that that does not mean they are together.

Deng Wei:   "A Tree In Xian Tai"  (仙台有树）

 

Deng Wei will start shooting  "A Tree In Xian Tai", next Tuesday, 12 October 2023.

 

This is his First Male Lead Role.   I wish him  "Good Luck!!"  

 

 

The Male Lead Role was originally offered to Bai Jing Ting.  But BJT's fans strongly objected to it because:

i)  The story revolves more on the Female Lead. 

ii)  His fans objected to the Female Lead - Xiang Han Zhi.

iii) At the beginning of the story, the Male Lead is not so likable.  His positive qualities will only unfold slowly as the plot develops.

 

BJT asked for some changes to the Character-Role, but was rejected by the Production Team.  

 

In other words, BJT and his fans are afraid that BJT will lose his popularity with this role.

 

So, just like  "Lost You Forever",  the male lead role in  "A Tree In Xian Tai", is one which is discarded by others.   

 

Hopefully, Deng Wei can turn it around.  Just like what he had done with "Ye Shi Qi" and "Tu Shan Jing".  If he can do that,  then he will be in "Hot Demand"  by directors and producers in future.  As someone who can give "Life" and "Soul" to an otherwise "hopeless  character role".

Deng Wei:   "The Legend Of Rosy Clouds"

 

Deng Wei goes to work Today.  Doing Poster-Shoots and filming the Promotional Video for "The Legend Of Rosy Clouds". Tidying up the ends before he starts his next drama.  

 

He last knocked off from the set of "The Legend of Rosy Clouds" on 1st October 2023.  So he has only rested for 5 days.  A very tight working schedule.

 

He worked for 7 Hours today.

 

When Deng Wei came out, he saw that it was still raining.  His fans were still waiting for him. From the moment he got in the car, to the time that the car was moving, he was thinking about how to respond to his fans’ love.

 

The glass window of the back-half of the car cannot be lowered.  So Deng Wei reclined the front seat and leaned forward on it in order to wave to his fans.

Deng Wei:   His Background Story

 

Deng Wei actually came in 3rd in the entrance examination to his Dance Academy.  He was a Good Student.  He has been studying Ballet ever since he was 5 years' old.  It must have been very heartbreaking for him not to be able to dance again.

 

Just because Deng Wei is Trendy, it does not mean that he is not a good person.  Just as, because a boy dresses tamely, it does not mean that he is a trustworthy person either.  What matters is from within all of us.

 

Like the saying goes :  "Do Not Judge A Book By It's Cover".

Deng Wei was harassed by Proxy-Shooters yesterday.  They took a Sneak Shot of his New Hairdo for "A Tree In Xian Tai".   He was horrified.

 

So I will be ethical.  I will Not Post any Photo of his Character-Role,  until they are officially released. 

 

 

 

Today, Deng Wei had a "Test-Shoot", before the "Official Opening Ceremony" tomorrow.

 

His Fans are so "Understanding",  "Supportive", "Well-Organised" and "Disciplined".  They waited patiently.  No "Peeping".  (Unlike the Non-Fans)

 

When Deng Wei  emerged after work, they cheered.  No "Crowding Around Him".   Deng Wei warmly waved to them.  Because he knows they are his Genuine Fans.

 

The most well-organised Fan Club I have seen so far.  I hope they will remain like that always.  Dear "Diamonds", I am very impressed.

Was launched today - finally !!   I love his Hairstyle - a Ponytail.  It makes him looks so Youthful.

Deng Wei was very "touched" by the very "warm" Support given by his "Diamond-Fans". 

 

It is so "Nice" of him to go back to the Floral Decorations which his "Diamond-Fans" have put up for him. He need not do that.  But he did it.  For the photo album.  And for his Fans. 

 

His Hair and Face was already "Made Up" - ready for filming.  It showed how "Grateful" he is - towards his Fans.   No One has done this before.

 

He bowed 3 times in 3 different directions.  This is the First Time that he spoke so "Loud" (without a Loud-Speaker mind you) - to convey his sincerest appreciations to his "Fans".  His relationship with his faithful "Diamond-Fans", is clearly a "Two-Way Traffic".  He is very grateful to them.

While all these are good, I hope Deng Wei  will not put himself under too much pressure.  Now he should be left alone to film in peace.  

 

My only worries are the "Proxy Shooters".  

 

I hope "Xian Tai You Shu"  will do well when it premieres in 2024.  That is of ultimate importance.  Otherwise Yu Zheng and his detractors will only laugh "Louder" at him.

Last year (2022) around this time, he was scolded badly regarding the airport incident and by Yu Zheng.  As a result, he was unemployed for 8 months. Everyone scolded and criticised him whatever he does. He been in Hengdian filming for 3 years but he has never experienced this huge crowd waiting for him.

 

So proud of him.  How he turned the table one year after.  He deserves the best.  To be happy.

Black Windbreaker :

1)  I was wondering why Deng Wei was wearing a Black Windbreaker at the "Booting Ceremony" on 12 October 2023. He actually had a slight "cold".  Which was why he was seen squeezing and wiping his nose.  Probably a slight running nose.

 

But it is also true that he was so touched by his Fans, that he shed "Tears".  He is a gentle and sentimental person.

 

He has to watch his "Health".  Otherwise it will affect both his "Looks" and "Performance".

 

 

The Flower-Deck :

2)  Courtesy-wise, it was correct for Deng Wei to come out to pose at the Flower-Deck.  And to thank his Fans.  It makes his Fans feel "appreciated".  Especially after Deng Wei's staff had very unwisely whisked him away.  His Fans had spent a lot of time, efforts and money for the Flower-Deck.

(But his "Competitors" and "Detractors" will use this to market his Black Label i.e.  "Small Card.  But Play Big").

So it is very important for "A Tree In Xian Tai"  to succeed.  It will "make"  or  "break"  Deng Wei.

3)  On his Weibo, Deng Wei only posted solo photos of himself.  Some medias immediately criticised him for that.  They compared him to the Female Lead who posted a Group Photo, as well as that of Deng Wei and herself.

 

 

 

 

(I would say that it is very Petty of the Media.  It is a trivia matter.  Do not blow it up.  Leave it to the individual to post what they want.  As long as they do not hurt anyone with it.  As long as it is relevant.  Deng Wei must be busy thinking of his Fans when he made the Weibo Post.  And therefore he overlooked certain things.  No big deal. 

 

After all, at 28 years, he is still a "Young Man".  He entered the industry at 25 years.  It is understandable if he makes some minor blunders along the way. We cannot expect him to be An Expert at Public Relations.  Are we that Matured ourselves?  Those of us who are still in our 20's ??)

Deng Wei really appreciates his "Diamond Fans".

 

a) A fan left a message saying that he wanted to see the rain in Hengdian.  During the filming period, he specially set aside time to shoot a video to share the rain in Hengdian.

 

b) While on a business trip in Xiamen, he saw a fan's message saying that he had never seen the sea in Xiamen. He deliberately drove to the seaside of Xiamen and started a live broadcast.

 

c) When fans visited his class, he even bought them milk tea.  He was considerate and even considered that there were people who could not drink cold drinks or were on diet to lose weight.

 

He specially ordered the milk tea which were warm or with less sugar.

 

 

 

d) He never accepted gifts from his Fans.  But he would carefully put every Fan's letter in his bag.

 

The feedback from everyone who has worked with him has been positive.

 

a) There are magazine writers who are cooperating for the first time.  They described Deng as having a freshness that was different from what they have encountered in their work in the past.

The opening ceremony of "A Tree in Xian Tai" was also very impressive.

 

A large number of fans flocked to the scene to build momentum and shout out.  Giving the male protagonist Deng Wei a chance to stand out. 

 

The huge crowds of people not only shocked the staff, but even the senior management of the video broadcast platform.  That is the Producer of Kiwi Fruits.  He said:
