Let me back-track a bit till 2nd April 2023.   Because that was the "First Time" Deng Wei attended an Offline Event. 

 

In my opinion,  both Deng Wei and Chen Du Ling looks better than the two main leads. 

 

Fortunately it was not  on 1st April (April's Fool Day).    I think he looks better with a slightly longer hairstyle.  What do you all think?

Deng Wei :   Being "Marked"

 

The way Deng Wei responded when interviewed, shows that he is a level-headed person.

 

But I do not know if he realises that he is being watched.  The C-Entertainment World is extremely "competitive".  Competitors are willing to resort to all sorts of tricks to push forward.   They know that Deng Wei is very Vulnerable.  

 

Even his "Diamonds" are infiltrated by all sorts of people, including spies from  opposing groups.  And they make confusing "Posts" to create tensions among Deng Wei's fans.  As well as people who are not yet his fans, but are curious about him. 

 

I wish Mainland China's Fans can support their respective idols more sensibly.  There is no need to bring others down so that their favourites can advance.  They should compete fairly.  Let the best person wins.  The situation is already bad enough without their interference.

 

There are only so much good works around.  And every agency and artiste is competing for that same piece of "Pie".  

 

Deng Wei even has to give up a certain project which his more illustrious colleague from "Lost You Forever" is also fighting for.  While seeking to advance his career, he knows how to practise  restraint.  In order not to create too many enemies.  He has a "Rocky" path to Fame.

 

All over weibo, Deng Wei's fans are scolding his Agency, and especially his Manager, Ms Huang Hui, for failing to protect him.  And I do not blame them.  Each time Deng Wei is in trouble,  his "Diamond-Fans" will spring to his defence and help him explain.  While his agency did nothing. 

 

* Fans help to clarify the Airport Fiasco.  They help disseminate the full video clip of what really transpires.

* Fans help to clarify Deng Wei's past photos.

* Fans asked YZ to apologise for slandering him.

* Because of all these Black News, Deng Wei could not secure a project for 8 Long Months.  And had his Resources downgraded.

Wow!!   Deng Wei is so Trendy today.  Definitely a "Fashionista".   He is really welcoming "1st December / Christmas" in Style. 

And he did not wear an outer coat.  Probably to let his "Diamonds" feast on his clothes.   Ah! How he pampers them whenever he can.

I love the words on his Sweater :  "Stop The Fucking War!".

As though he has been reading his Diamonds' Messages to his Agency.  This is his "Soft Way" of telling them to stop the conflict.  And maybe to  his Attackers as well.   As Yang Zi has said, Deng Wei has very high EQ and IQ.   A very diplomatic person. 

He is so Creative and Free-Spirited.

He did bring his outer coat after all.  He wore it after the "MakeUp" was done.  I was right.  He just wants to show his "Diamonds" his Christmas Sweater.   Cute Guy !

Deng Wei's "Diamonds" are fighting for him because they know how hard he has worked. 

 

Example 1 :

When filming "Lost You Forever",  Deng Wei even fainted from Heat-Stroke.  That was when he was scaling the hill for the "Spirit Herbs" for Xiao Liu.

 

He fainted because the weather at Hengdian was Very Hot then - Summer.  The Production Crew staffs can wear Light Clothings. Some even remove their tops. But Deng Wei cannot.  He has to wear a few layers of clothings for Ye Shi Qi.

 

And the first thing he said after he woke up from the heatstroke is: "I'm still alive." "Can we continue filming"... 

 

His colleagues advised him to go to the Hospital.  But he refused.  He did not want to delay the filming.

 

Example 2 :

Deng Wei accidentally "Sprained" his foot just before he carried Xiao Yao - the Scene where he purposely threw away Xiao Yao's Crutches.  Because there were a lot of stones on the ground.  He accidentally stepped on one and sprained his foot.  But he still carried on filming.

 

Therefore it is especially painful to watch him being Unjustly Blackened.

 

Initially, they were not even sure if they should  feature Deng Wei in the Trailer for "Lost You Forever".  I am glad they did it.

 

(These are things that a New Artiste has to endure.  When his Career has stabilised, he should establish his Own Studio.  A lot of Actors do that.  Examples :  Zhu Yi Long,  Bai Jing Ting, Song Wei Long.  Even Yang Zi.)

Deng Wei :   Year-End Activities  

 

So it is back to "square one".   As I have said before,  Deng Wei is not attending any Year-End Activities.   His attendance for the Starlight Awards - 17 December 2023 is cancelled.

 

Which is one of the reasons, why "some" of his "Diamonds" are complaining.  As fans, I believe they want to see their "Idol" trotting down the red carpet in his fineries. And being interviewed.  They can come to watch him..... and scream..... their lungs out.  In short, be proud of him.

(I say "some".  Because not all "Diamonds" are complaining this way).

 

So many stars are there, especially Deng Wei's colleagues from "Lost You Forever (Yang Zi and Tan Jian Ci). 

 

To most simple minds, not being there means their star is being "slighted".  But this is not necessarily the case.  At times, Work is more important.  Yes, you are there.  But if you have no outstanding works to enter the public domain, eventually you will not be invited either.

 

I believe Deng Wei thinks that way too.  Which is why he has never accepted any "Variety Show" invitations so far.  Except the one for promoting "Lost You Forever".  Frankly, I prefer artistes who refuse to appear in "Variety Shows".  

 

Too much exposure will dilute one's interest in you.   It will also affect your performance later.  As viewers will find it more difficult to "enter" your character-role.  "Variety Shows" are more for those stars who desperately want to promote their popularity.  To endear themselves to the fans. That is what they think.  But does it really do that?  Stars need some sense of "Mystery". 

 

 

"Fans of Deng Wei demanded that his studio meet their expectations. They said that the true reason for their demand was not just the fact that he would not be attending year-end events.  But also the fact that the studio was unworthy of Deng Wei's growth at this moment!"

 

I believe Deng Wei Live-Streamed yesterday  to calm down his fans.  Talking to them and taking them for an evening "walk" while stargazing.

Deng Wei :   What Fans Want, May Not Be What He Wants

 

Recently, Deng Wei's fans have set off a controversy for rights protection.  Because Deng Wei did not participate in some of the year-end events, such as GQ and Starlight Awards. 

 

Fans criticized the studio and the company, believing that they were perfunctory in business. Did not pay attention to the fan circle, and did not update materials in a timely manner. This situation does make people understand the concerns and dissatisfaction of fans. 

 

However, to truly solve the problem, a deeper understanding of Deng Wei's choices and development direction may be needed. 

 

Even though Deng Wei declined some grand events and variety shows, this does not mean that he does not value his fans or is unwilling to increase his popularity.

 

He may be more inclined to focus on improving his acting skills and choose works with more depth. 

 

Secondly, Deng Wei's current situation may not be as prosperous as fans imagined.  Although his profile and popularity has grown significantly, he is still waiting to explode - he is in a very Critical Stage right now. In this highly competitive entertainment industry, it is not easy to gain a foothold.

 

Deng Wei needs to take more roles in the current popularity to stabilize his position. Otherwise, the status of being ready to explode may change over time.  After all, new actors are  exploding every year. 

 

Fans need to understand and pay attention to this. In addition, I am sure Deng Wei and his team are not as Buddhist as fans imagined.

 

Fans hope to see more popular activities and exposure.  But Deng Wei prefers a low-keyed and focused route. This difference may be due to their different understanding and expectations of the entertainment industry.  We see things from outside.  We do not how complicated it is inside.   Just like any marital relationship.

 

 

I notice some of the things that his Fans did, were actually damaging to him:

 

1)  In the interview with CCTV6, Deng Wei said the Director he most like to work with is Shen Teng.  And his fans immediately went to Shen Teng's website to beg him to give Deng Wei a chance.  Leading to public remarks that Deng Wei is using his fans.

 

2) The vulgar remarks from Aunty Yu Zheng would not have happened if Deng Wei's fans have not asked him to give Deng Wei some works.

 

Xiao Zhan's 227 incident in the past, is also due to the actions of his Fanatical Fans.

 

So if the "Diamonds" happen to read this Post, I hope they can learn to practise "Restraints" and act calmly.  Do not bring unnecessary troubles to  Deng Wei.

 

Respecting the idol's choice and accompanying the idol's growth with a supportive and encouraging attitude may be a better choice for fans.
