Don't be scared of the time travel component. This is not a scifi drama. It is one of the best written psychological thrillers out there and Choi Jin Hyuk's acting in it stellar. It has a lot of depth and emotions in it - it isn't a pure thriller.

 

Even @Lmangla sweetie loved this drama despite not being normally the person who watches these types of dramas.

 

It was such a huge success that it has been remade into a Thai version and Indonesian version.

@leo2020 Oh, so it was Lee Jun Ki? My favorite drama of his is Flower of Evil. I really would like to rewatch that drama some day.

Yess!!!! The amount of tears I shed while watching this drama is no joke. I was totally drained for 2 days after finishing this drama because of all the crying. Sighhh. His eyes are too powerful, I agree. He is such a talented actor sometimes I feel he is underrated but he has his own set of fans. I wish he does some romcoms in the near future. We all know he excel in action dramas, but it would be a nice change of pace to see him in a romcom.

Haha.,.. I guess if I recommend Lovestruck in the City, two people are going to make my life hard.

 

My next choice is The Sound of Magic, a truly magical piece and has a lot of metaphors in it, as well as beautiful scenes - and of course the music. It's a bit inspired of a musical, but based on a webtoon and has a unique story.

I watched him in Empress Ki when he was only 25 or 26, and do you know that even though oppa was not the ML, he became the fan favorite by the end. His acting stood out! He is talented, so I hope you can give him another chance!

He appeared in the later episodes and stole people`s heart. He was a complex character and it was obvious that he will have a tragic ending. I even cried when he died.

@Lmangla I'm off my enormous Kim Soo Hyun high now so I haven't watched Giant yet! But I heard good things about it. Guess I could just watch the first few episodes to see his acting, then?

Same. He did not grabb my attention even before I read about the gossip. But, he is a talented actor. Just not my type. I watched him in The Moon Embracing The Sun, One Ordinary Day and My Love From The Star. The first two dramas I liked better than the later.

My first love oppa is the one and only Won Bin. I watch him in my first kdrama: Autumn in my heart

Hmm, I don't really have an oppa, LOL! Keanu is the closest I'd describe as an oppa, and perhaps, Michael Maguire as the Enjolras of 10th anniversary Les Miserables.

 

Having cut my teeth watching animes as my first dramas of sort, I tend to gravitate to actors that have large and/or expressive eyes as the most attractive...somewhat like him, hahaha!

Hence, Cdrama actors that aren't just pretty faces and are acting well for me would be Xiao Zhan, Liu Haikuan, Liu Haoran, Chen Zhe Yuan, Chen Fei Yu, Wu Lei, Zhao Yuting, Lin Gengxin, Deng Lun, Deng Wei, Gao Wei Guang, and Tan Jian Ci.

*** Hahaha - "First love never dies" may be a cliché, but let's be real—it's true. I adore Ji Sung from the 1^st drama I’ve watched, which was Save the Last Dance for Me.  And I posted this here several times in soompi. Even the drama OST, I love it that it was also the 1^st playlist I had in my mobile. The drama was so enjoyable. In my opinion, Ji Sung is one of the best looking actors in Korea.  His acting ability is top notch, performing equally as well in a melodrama as in a romantic comedy.  He was a darling in Protect the Boss, intense in Secret Love, and down-right amazing in Kill Me, Heal Me.  And he’s the best thing about this drama. 

Now, I have more than 1-bias and multiple, but, I still adore Ji Sung as ever! I will always be a no. 1 fan of him. I think there's nothing wrong with that. I choose my bias off most of the time through visuals/looks over personality & talent. I put visuals on top, that’s why I have multiple biases.  - LOL -
