There was something about the premise I didn't like. I was really happy to see Jang Geun Seuk back in drama land, though, and watched the first season of Decoy. 15 hours ago, TheQueenReturns said: In order of bingeability 1. Cunning Single Lady 2. I just completed a rewatch of FTLY - hot neighborhood oppa was as hot as I remembered him to be. But what happened to your #6 bingeworthy drama? Do you have one? 15 hours ago, Learry said: from Thai lakorn Kleun Cheewit and Thai Full house( until now i never watch the Korean ver.) Nice! I think Kleun Cheewit is one of @Lmangla sweetie's favorites as well. It's a good revenge drama. 15 hours ago, Learry said: Secret garden Ya! We just completed the Secret Garden rewatch. I love this drama too. @confusedheart hates Hyun Bin's Joo Won character because he's so childish and immature. I find him hilarious. What about you? 12 hours ago, joccu said: Also it had really good LGBTQ story which is really rare. We haven't seen those too often in kdramas. 10 hours ago, maribella said: I noticed that many are like me, our first few shows are the most memorable. Yes, you're right, chingu! I guess the first kdrama you watch leaves an impression on you. Then again, the older kdramas are different from the ones today. Maybe it was easier to fall in love with the old kdrama style? Not sure. 10 hours ago, maribella said: Now getting ready for another daily. Oh no! Which one?!?!??! 5 hours ago, Lmangla said: also a nice way of finding new dramas if you don't feel like watching the full thing. Please don't look for any more Turkish dizis on YouTube, sweetie. MayanEcho
Thanks for the tag @partyon! Let's see... my (not) guilty pleasures watching would be the old Japanese anime series that were pretty much part of my childhood. 1. Astro Boy, his sister Atom, and nemesis Atlas. 2. Dog of Flanders 3. Little Lord Fauntleroy 4. A Little Princess 5. Voltes V 6. Magic Knight Rayearth, etc I think it is because of animes that I pay attention to the gestures, facial expressions and eyes a lot when I'm watching dramas or movies. I also love X Files and Alias. Would never be tired of these two series. It was only in the last months of 2019 that I started watching again, this time Cdramas. I'd always love 3L3W Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms, and The Pillow Book, for the beautiful OST, and plots and storylines that make me overthink, LOL! Next would be Under the Skin, because drama is about art and detective work combined. The Untamed for the almost perfect main and support cast. Apple is my favourite, hahaha! I also know that the recently aired Hidden Love will be another I'd always adore. Sure of that cos before the drama, I loved the novel and its manhua. ctto 4 2
willenette
*** I’ve never tried finished binge-watching more than (3) episodes of Korean drama in one day. I can’t sleep two hours when I should be sleeping eight. – hahaha - All’s fair in dramaland, though. My pacing is very slow because of my work. As far as I remember, my fastest binge to date is probably “Happiness” (Park Hyung Sik), which I finished in maybe 4 days? Pretty fast for me – LOL - But, it’s only 12 episodes and I was not so busy with work at that time. And it was my fastest binges among K-dramas I’ve watched because the series landed on Friday/Sat time slot. I also have the fastest with other (9) dramas : My Name is Kim Samsoon (Hyunbin), Scent of a Woman (Lee Dong Wook), Boys Over Flowers (Lee Min Ho), My Love From the Stars (Kim Soo Hyun), Healer (Ji Chang Wook), no regrets watching this drama, Love in The Moonlight, my favorite sageuk (Park Bogum), Cinderella and the 4 Knights (Jung IL Woo), I’m Sorry I Love You (Su Ji Sub) & Discovery of Love (Eric). One really has to be in the mood to take it all in ISILY. I love rom-com genres so, I guess this is one of the reasons why I watched MNIKSS & BOF very fast. This genre is easy to digest. For Scent of a Woman, it was a Sat/Sun time slot. Besides, I don’t use fast forward to all K-dramas that I have watched. Nowadays, though, I found myself "binge-ing" drama in a much, much slower pace. I’m only watching K-dramas and no other else. I am not a binger, I guess because my work schedule won’t permit me. A K-drama binge would have been so much more fun! Netflix originals now indeed are made for bingeing with shorter episodes, like Bloodhounds with (8EPs) and Black Knight with only (6EPs). My normal pace is maybe a little over a week for a normal 16 episodes. My guilty pleasure K-drama? It would be Heirs for me & Save the Last Dance for Me. The latter is the one, which got me into K-pop/K-drama. How I adore Ji Sung then and until now. Crash Landing on You is the drama that I have re-watched more than 2x because it’s so addictive for me. Another one is Gourmet. I love K-food and this drama has tons of delicious dishes. Everyone needs a little bit of a mood booster once in awhile…or maybe all the time. She Was Pretty & What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim are the dramas that are bound to put a smile on my face. These series have all the cheesy rom-com elements to put me in a good mood. To be frank, Korean dramas are way too addictive but definitely not bad. Once you’ve been sucked into the world of it, there’s no way to get back out again. You just can’t have enough of it. It’s my stress buster. K-dramas really mess with your emotions, but that’s what makes you want more. Besides, they cater to many genres as well. They’re awesome! 3 3

I did check them out when some posters commented on some show. Now getting ready for another daily. dailies are fun when we can roast and laugh at it together. forget re-watching, even to watch these longer dramas without any company is difficult at times. 5 2

confusedheart
@partyon You got it right. Secret Love(when I want something intense), Thank You (when I want a good cry), Fated to Love You (when I want something hopelessly romantic), Queen of No Marriage (because I want a good story and a cute Ethan Juan), Autumn’s Concerto (because I miss that cute little boy and because I am feeling hopelessly romantic) and a What’s up fox? (becauseI want some laughs) are some of my favourite rewatched dramas. I also give in to BoF at times when I miss LMH and want a strong FL kick his back. Pasta because I miss the chemistry) and The Greatest Love because I miss the shenanigans of Dokko Jin. 1 4

Last time I watched it was with @Sleepy Owl dongsaeng back in 2020 or early 2021. It puts such a toll on one because it elicits a lot of emotions. My plan is to rewatch it next year with dongsaeng. 12 minutes ago, confusedheart said: I also give in to BoF at times when I miss LMH and want a strong FL kick his back. TheQueenReturns
@partyon don't get me started. There were some cutie pies in Bucheon and at Incheon airport. However, all the cute Oppa's are chain smokers. If smoking doesn’t bother you, head to Bucheon. Frankly, I with my stereotypical tail fell in love with the fried chicken and macarons. My daughter screamed when a real gangster was walking behind us on our way to Karaoke !
lebeaucouple
Thanks for the tagging. This is a test for our memory question. Well, I seldom rewatch drama, except for those particular "scenes with beautiful music on the background" that I enjoyed the most (not the whole drama) and thus kept replaying it. Those were the days.......just to name a few rewatched the love scenes for : It's Okay to Not Be Okay, Crash Landing on You, My Girl....... But currently too many drama to select with so little time, I will not do that to rewatch old drama. I rather rewatch old movies including the black and white movies. Lately, I had been watching the biography movies for some famous people with their controversies storyline : Elvis Presley, Charlie Chaplin, Oppenheimer. Watching these types of movies at different life stages can have different perceptions and understanding. I am glad that I have different views after watching it. The same goes with old drama. The current airing KDrama are disappointing, I switch to watch US drama (usually shorter EP) and I have completed the legal drama "Accused" (very thought-provoking and meaningful storyline) 2

sweetroad
Hmmm, my guilty pleasures would have to be My Love From the Star: It's just so snappy and quirky, and Gianna Jun is hilarious in it. And Pasta: This one is definitely a guilty pleasure, since the central relationship has a super-unhealthy power dynamic, and Lee Sun-kyun's character is a loud and insulting alpha male. But there are some sweet and caring parts, and the food porn level is high, so I've watched it more than I ever thought I would. 1 2

The FL in the drama was Eugene so, this is where the good chemistry can be seen most. While not having chemistry as explosive as that of Song Hye-kyo and RAIN, though. Ji Sung and Lee Bo Young registered well together on the screen. It's just that for me, her performance is bland. I expected more from a character such as hers.
