"Boys Over Flower"? I enjoyed every bit of this drama like hell!  This drama got a handsome cast. And because I adore Lee Min Ho. Although, people tend to love or hate this drama. But, the series earned high viewership ratings. I still listen to much of the OST to this day. I watched the drama many times even I had many other dramas under my belt. Compared to the arrogant role of Lee Min Ho, Kim Hyun Joong's character was way more gentle. I honestly think that Ji Hoo is a very interesting character but, IDK why there were some bad reviews about his acting.   :sweet:

Not going to talk about his acting but the drama was good. I enjoyed it too.  I do re-watch it at times, just the most memorable scenes. Skip the rest.

The one with the most lickable face :tounge_xd: a.k.a. the not necessarily very pretty or handsome looking, but the most magnetic and appealing actor or actress. The one who can make you look without trying. The one who can turn anywhere his/her runway. The unforgettable. :relieved:

and that is.....(drum roll)

I started but there was awful bullying in the first few episodes. It was not physical or abuse of a kid like some other shows, but humiliating their peers was just difficult to watch.

I agree it is difficult to watch and no fun at all, but after LMH falls for the female lead, it becomes slightly better. It was funny to see him completely besotted by her and the way he tried to win her over.

I watched Kim Hyun Joong leading in a war drama. He looked so different. I had to doublecheck the actor's picture and name.

@maribella is that "Inspiring Generation"?   :kaching1:

Yes, now that you've shown the picture. He looked years older.

But drama has this habit of casting actors much younger than their real age.  So in BOF, they were not 18-19. Sometimes it works but not always.

He was really good. But I don't think he is considered a supporting actor anymore.

@maribella  I remember when I was watching the drama then there were times when I got bored with the drama that I had to pause it for a while and do other things. I guess I don't really dig that kind of genre (the gangster kind and it was set on 1930s) but, just watched it because of KHJ. In this drama, he showed an image, which was different from the reserved and nice guy in BOF. I didn’t expect him to be good in action and fighting scenes. I remembered most from him was on the fighting scenes. And I loved how they spent a lot of time and effort in clothing and accessories in this drama. These made the characters appealing and come to life. For some weird reason, I loved the little romance in the story. It could’ve been nice if the romance was developed. I wished the writer gave Jung Tae a happy love life. "Inspiring Generation" had a big big cast. I wonder why there’s no official soundtrack released for this drama, though. The songs were nice and fit for the scenes in the drama. This drama is worth a try though to anyone who’s looking for an action drama set in the 1930s. Kim Hyun Joong fans will be delighted to watch this too for the different and mature image that he showed through this drama.   :kaching3:

OMG So true, He deserves so Muchmore Lol.

Chingu, which of his roles are your favorite?

I like him a lot in Tomorrow. :issohappy:

I like him the least in Valid Love because he played a carpenter who the FL has an affair with and his fangirls made a ruckus in the drama thread. :joy:

So here's what we could conclude:

Most Favourite Male Actors:

Kang Ki Young (best known for playing a caring and fair boss in Extraordinary Attorney Woo) seems to be riding high on his popularity after his phenomenoal acting in Extraordinary Attorney Woo. We can't wait to see him on scree again. The characters he plays are often so endearing that we always remember them rather fondly. (24 votes)

Kwak Dong Yeon (best known for playing the half-brother in Vincenzo) or the adorable TA in My ID is Gangnam Beauty is another very talented young actor who shines in whatever character he plays.  (24 votes)

Lastly, we have Lee Soo Hyuk (best known for playing the very handsome leader of the Grim Reaper management team in Tomorrow). Love him or hate him, you cannot but notice him. The very handsome and talented actor now deserves to be promoted to a lead and he has the acting chops to do full justice to any character he is asked to play. We hope to see him as a lead very soon. (23 votes)

Most Favourite Female Actors:

Kim Mi Kyung (best known for playing the ahjumma in Healer) There is no one who is into K-dramas who is not familiar with this face. A staple in almost every drama, The Heirs, 18 Again etc. - 25 votes

Lee Jung Eun (best known for playing the bubbly fish shop owner who made us all cry in Our Blues). She is such an effortless actor. I mean, you don't feel that she is acting. She is so natural. We would all a neighbour like her. (19 votes)

Kim Hae Sook (best known for playing the director of the underworld monopoly in Tomorrow). She was been so impressive in all her projects. Recently we saw her as Queen Dowager in Under the Queen's Umbrella. (16 votes)

Jang Young Nam (best known for her roles in Pinocchio and It's Okay To Not be Okay). She has impressed us in dramas such as My Country, The Veil and The Devil Judge.

Thank you for commenting and voting for your favourite supporting actors.
