I ticked everyone's name :D I do remember each one of them and have enjoyed watching them in their dramas. Without these supporting cast, dramas are just less fun. Interestingly, I actually find these supporting actors/actresses to have a much wider range of acting abilities than some of the main leads out there. They act as certain roles in one drama, and easily transitioned into other characters the next drama, without me feeling confused of their different roles. Amazing! Kudos to each and every one of them! They deserve this spotlight!!

If he could speak English, I think he should be one of the elven kings in Lord of the rings. Just extend those ears a bit.

I find him handsome and so do a lot of peeps on this forum like @joccu @Ameera Ali @4evrkdrama @agenth. Even @LeftCoastOppa dongsaeng finds him very handsome.

Some of us prefer stronger and sharper facial features you know. (Explains why my ex oppa is Choi Jin Hyuk, current oppa is Ji Chang Wook, etc.) Probably depends on where you grew up and what you learned to perceive as handsome.

But pray, tell, who is YOUR oppa?

That's the sad truth actually, I've read about it multiple times.

Bcs if you ask me, a person from other part of the world, I'll say in my system of coordinates he looks very sexy, manly, editorial, let's say "haute couture" type of guy. Ohhh, and a very good actor on top of everything

My #1 favorite male supporting actor is my Kwakkie:

43713aa3906a7114ae70a9dfcd72cb383535d1ac

This guy just cannot seem to get lead roles, despite his absolutely phenomenal acting. :tears:

I've been following his career since he was 16 years old, and it's mindboggling that all of these cardboard idol oppas get lead roles and he doesn't.

:kicks:

Another of my favorite supporting actors is Choi Young Joon whom I discovered for the first time in Flower of Evil and Hospital Playlist. There is just something very charismatic about him.@Lmangla sweetie agrees.

Of the females, I was a big fan of Lee Da Hee for the longest time while she was a supporting actress.

Was so glad to see her upgraded to Female Lead material. :yay:

Same goes for Ra Mi Ran. Yay!

BTW, what does everyone like about Lee Soo hyuk?  I don't have any negative feelings toward him, but a lot seem to like him. I've seen him in a couple of dramas and I wondered why.

For some reason Korea hasn't given the world LSH as male lead, even though he has many attributes for it:

1) smoldering gaze

2) model walk

3) charisma, good face expressions

4) and smooth voice.

Honestly his face is quite extraordinary (you would always recognise him). TBH in some photos he looks a bit alien-like (that's when I first saw him and googled him and saw his many modelling pics).

He'd make a great ML in a romcom though. did he annoy some influential person, is that why he gets only supporting roles?

Not only you, chingu.

I think it really has a lot to do with what you grew up surrounded by and the beauty standards there. Lee Soo Hyuk oppa's features would be considered handsome here in my part of the world too.

And the last person I would like to give an honorable mention, since he is not on the list (honestly I don't know if he may be considered a supporting actor, but he was in the dramas I've watched) is definitely Lee Deok-hwa. His characters are never plane or easily forgotten))).

honestly that's a worthy mention. to this day i still remember his role in hotel king where he played an abusive and manipulating VP. he called this daughter of the dead CEO in such a weird way... and in another variety show he taught other actors how to do it :D

ooh ruffled feathers :phew:. Now, now  I did say he was attractive.

All Korean leading actors have 'chiselled' features. I am amazed at how straight their noses are .

I am perfectly appreciative of strong features or middling features.  I grew up and have lived among people with a wide range of looks and skin colour. It makes no difference where one grew up, the Hollywood hype reaches far and the world is so connected nowadays. I think my grandma would not find Brad Pitt good looking. It's also individual taste, I knew a WASP woman who thought Robert Redford was plain while during her time American women swooned over him.

But LSH's nose is too big for such a small face and those Fred Basset eyes are too sad to be conventionally handsome. @partyon and others, don't get your knickers in a knot, he is a very attractive man and more importantly a good actor - even though I have only seen him as a grim reaper.

I still think he'll make a great Elrond. Smiley Face Smile GIF by Tiara Imani

Well, he's handsome and I know my fellow EO @partyon likes him immensely. She had been talking about him so much during the drama -Tomorrow. That's when I came to know of him. Do you think his acting isn't phenomenal? Overhyped?

I think his acting is fine, but honestly, he didn't stand out in the dramas I've watched.  I haven't seen Tomorrow; not my kind of drama even though I do like Kim Hee sun.  I only notice Lee Soo Hyuk's ears; that's how I recognize him (kinda how I spot LMH by his nose. in a large crowd :joy:).

I find Daniel Craig pretty sexy and he's definitely not conventionally handsome.  Another actor who isn't conventionally handsome is Tom Cruise, but he has the x factor and has a winning smile.

@rocher22 I do agree with you about Kim Sung Oh in LUCA............. In the drama, he  takes on the role of the chaser who pursues Kim Rae Won like a madman.  :twerk2:

@maribella I also do agree with you - most of them prefer to have a straight nose. It's usually considered by surgeons to be the ideal nose. That's why, it is a popular demand for models and celebrities. I notice that masculine noses tend to be straight. Among celebrities, I love Cha Eun Woo and BTS V's noses - their nose has a high bridge with a little hump, the tip is slightly droopy and not as pointy. It doesn't look like as if an obvious plastic surgery result.   :shaq:

I cannot agree with you more. There are so many dramas where these actors have played such memorable roles and brought the characters alive on screen, adding their own eccentricities, so much so that each of them stand out, for their utter uniqueness.

Yes, totally see him walking the ramp. I think @partyon did mention it to me once that he was indeed a model who walked the ramp. He has that confidence. You feel that oozing out of him in photos as well.

BTW, this guy is one of my favourites.

@confusedheart  ohhh...........if you find time, try to watch "Adamas". I find it good. Biased aside, I've watched all Ji Sung's dramas. It is mainly a mystery drama, but attempts to span across different genres. JS has returned here with a dual role. It adds to the fun.   :heart2:   "Boys Over Flower"? I enjoyed every bit of this drama like hell!  This drama got a handsome cast. And because I adore Lee Min Ho. Although, people tend to love or hate this drama. But, the series earned high viewership ratings. I still listen to much of the OST to this day. I watched the drama many times even I had many other dramas under my belt. Compared to the arrogant role of Lee Min Ho, Kim Hyun Joong's character was way more gentle. I honestly think that Ji Hoo is a very interesting character but, IDK why there were some bad reviews about his acting.   :sweet:

The one with the most lickable face :tounge_xd: a.k.a. the not necessarily very pretty or handsome looking, but the most magnetic and appealing actor or actress. The one who can make you look without trying. The one who can turn anywhere his/her runway. The unforgettable. :relieved:

I started but there was awful bullying in the first few episodes. It was not physical or abuse of a kid like some other shows, but humiliating their peers was just difficult to watch.

I watched Kim Hyun Joong leading in a war drama. He looked so different. I had to doublecheck the actor's picture and name.
