larus
Uee Faces Off Against Her Brother In The Ring In “Live Your Own Life” Drama Preview Oct 8, 2023 by E. Cha Get ready for an epic showdown between Uee and her misbehaving younger brother in “Live Your Own Life”! “Live Your Own Life” is a new KBS drama starring Uee as Lee Hyo Shim, a warmhearted personal trainer and self-sacrificing daughter who has always put her family’s needs before her own—until she finally makes up her mind to break free from her leech-like family and pursue her own happiness. Ha Jun stars as Kang Tae Ho, the director of the planning division of a conglomerate group. Spoilers Previously on “Live Your Own Life,” Lee Hyo Shim pushed herself to her limits in order to pay back her irresponsible family members’ private loans. However, despite her endless sacrifices for her family—including taking on extra jobs while also diligently nursing her injured mother—the poor Hyo Shim didn’t receive so much as an ounce of gratitude from her ungrateful family. After her mother continued to shamelessly badger her about taking care of her siblings and her older brother even lashed out at her for disrupting his studying, the heartbroken Hyo Shim eventually burst into tears. In the next episode of the drama, the exasperated Hyo Shim will finally have a change of heart. After years of being pushed around by her family, she decides that it’s time to try living her life differently—and the first thing on her list is to teach her troublemaking youngest brother Hyo Do (Kim Doh Yon) a lesson. In order to teach Hyo Do this much-needed lesson, Hyo Shim takes him to the ring, where the two siblings wind up sparring. Unlike Hyo Do, who is decked out in protective gear, Hyo Shim is dressed casually, despite the blazing look of determination in her eyes. Spoiler Spoiler The producers of “Live Your Own Life” teased, “Hyo Shim, who has patiently endured all of the messes that her mother and younger brother have made, and who has only ever cleaned up after them, makes up her mind to teach him a lesson—and her method of choice is sparring. However, Hyo Do is no easy opponent. In order to protect his male ego, he is prepared not to lose. There will be thrilling hand-to-hand combat between the brother and sister. Please tune in to find out who will be the victor.” The fifth episode of “Live Your Own Life” will air on October 8 at 8:05 p.m. KST. https://www.soompi.com/article/1618406wpp/uee-faces-off-against-her-brother-in-the-ring-in-live-your-own-life

maribella
She must be in her thirties and she allows herself to be used by her mother and siblings. The law student seemed to think he is entitled to be supported by her. I am waiting for her to leave home. Her mother behaved as if the daughter is her husband, make money for her and her children. A shock is needed to wake them up.
maribella
I like this show so far. The FL is one of my favourites after watching her in ojakyo Brothers. The two guys are rather stiff or are they supposedly dignified, cool? The supporting actors are fine. Is the landlady/rubbish collecting grandma supposed to be the comic relief? I like her but I feel rather sad, I think there are Koreans supporting their grown children overseas by scrimping and saving. Anyway, I don’t think it’s that great to be number 1. The ratings usually surprise me.

But he went after the brother and mother and she’s back to square one in the last episode. Not sure what she can do since both mother and brother are unable to pay him back. 1
larus
Uee And Ha Jun Get Close At The Gym In “Live Your Own Life” Oct 14, 2023 by E. Cha Get ready for romance to blossom on the next episode of “Live Your Own Life”! Spoilers On the previous episode of “Live Your Own Life,” things took an unexpected turn between Lee Hyo Shim and Kang Tae Ho, who initially got off on the wrong foot. The once bickering duo’s dynamic began to change when Tae Ho became jealous of Hyo Shim’s close relationship with his cousin and ultimate rival Kang Tae Min (Go Joo Won), who had been training with Hyo Shim for a long time. This newly formed love triangle led to a change in Tae Ho’s attitude, which in turn set the stage for Hyo Shim starting to see him in a different light. In newly released stills from the drama’s upcoming episode, Hyo Shim and Tae Ho get a lot closer—in every sense of the word—at the gym. During a session in which Hyo Shim helps Tae Ho stretch, the two leads find themselves close enough to feel each other’s breath. Another photo captures a seemingly injured Tae Ho leaning on Hyo Shim for support as she clutches his hands with a worried expression. The producers of “Live Your Own Life” commented, “Ever since he was little, Tae Ho has only ever seen Tae Min looking absolutely perfect. The perfectly rational and poker-faced Tae Min has always been impossible to read, but his walls come down around Hyo Shim—and after seeing that, [Tae Ho] became curious about Hyo Shim as a person.” “Starting from Episode 6, which airs today, you’ll be able to see the process of this curiosity of Tae Ho’s transforming into [romantic] interest,” they continued. “As Ha Jun mentioned during the press conference, Tae Ho’s hidden cute side will make a grand appearance. You can safely look forward to it.” https://www.soompi.com/article/1619636wpp/uee-and-ha-jun-get-close-at-the-gym-in-live-your-own-life

Gaia2u
SO SICK OF DRAMS WHERE FEMALES, FLs,ARE ABUSED, AND JUST TAKE IT!!!!! SO SICK OF DRAMAS MAKING SK LOOK LIKE A BARBARIC COUNTRY WHERE DEBT COLLECTORS ARE ALLOWED TO BEAT PEOPLE UP! THE FL WOULD SMART ENOUGH TO TURN THEM IN! Beyond that, the designated ML is too much of a snot baby and FL has much more chemistry with 2nd ML, though he will probably turn into a baddy
maribella
She takes responsibility for an ungrateful brother, a henpecked brother, another brother who seems to be full of get-rich-quick schemes and a mother who has no scruples sponging on her for her children and herself. She takes responsibility for TH’s injury and the Chairwoman since her brother knocked her down. The model here is an over-responsible adult who takes the blame for the whole world. She can’t tell that TM is confessing? He’s rich, handsome, wants to protect her and his working out T-shirt seems to hide awesome abs. He doesn’t even break a sweat after working out, the powdered face is just as matt and not a single hair is out of place. But we know, she will fall for the younger cousin whom Grandma spoils.

maribella
Just watched Ep 7, it’s about why HS mum has no problem sponging on HS since she was a single mother who raised her children alone. I am surprised she didn’t tell her DIL that she was not working, that was why her family had little money. Or wives don’t work in Korea? The boy is so funny telling his father to leave her. TM is showing his nasty side. So far it seems like they are settling up the rivalry between the two cousins from woman to work to the gym. More interesting episodes ahead.

Spoilers Previously, Hyo Shim expressed gratitude to Tae Min (Go Joo Won) for buying her dinner, and Tae Min suggested that the two eat dinner together more often going forward. Although Hyo Shim suggested the two exercise together at the fitness center, Tae Min drew the line by saying that he no longer wanted to exercise with her but would rather partake in other fun activities together. The newly released stills capture Hyo Shim and Tae Min enjoying a date at a botanical garden. The production team shared, “Tae Min will work more actively to win over Hyo Shim’s heart. However, the problem is that Tae Min has an arranged marriage partner decided by the group. maribella
Who is the ML? TH or TM? I thought it’s TH. I remember watching a daily which sidelined the ML halfway through. I thought the guy was good but having watched kdramas for many years, there are office politics and also viewers responses. Something happened. If TH were the original ML, his character had not much important scenes whereas TM had a wide range of scenes - prisoner, Chaebol, gym-guy, suits etc. The writer might just rewrite it.
