Plot

 

 

In the 19th century and on the night of her wedding day, Park Yeon-Woo’s (Lee Se Young) husband tells her he has suffered from a heart disease for a long time and apologizes. He spits out blood and dies. She is devastated by her current situation. Making matters worse, Park Yeon-Woo gets kidnapped by a man and is thrown into a well. The next moment, she opens her eyes and sees her husband in front of her. She is now in present day Seoul, South Korea. The man who saves her from the swimming pool is Kang Tae-Ha ( Bae In Hyuk). He is the successor of SH Seoul Corporation. He doesn't mind opening himself up to others due to his heart disease and trauma that he suffered from in his childhood. He is a logical person and not interested in having a romantic relationship, but his ill grandfather tells him that he wishes to see his wedding before he dies. Character descriptions

Park Yeon Woo (Lee Se Young) is a woman living in the Joseon Dynasty who crosses 200 years of time and ends up in South Korea in 2023 after being thrown into a well by an unknown person. On February 3, a representative from Lee Se Young’s agency Prain TPC revealed, “Lee Se Young has received an offer from the producers of MBC’s new drama ‘Park’s Contract Marriage Story’ [literal translation] and is currently reviewing her appearance.”

Based on a webtoon of the same name, “Park’s Contract Marriage Story” draws out the marriage contract between the bold Miss. Park and bachelor Kang Tae Ha that the two establish for different purposes. Lee Se Young has been offered the lead role as Park Yeon Woo.

We might see Lee Se Young in a new K-drama this year!

On February 3, industry insiders revealed that Lee Se Young has been cast in the upcoming webtoon based K-drama "The Story of Park's Marriage Contract" (literal translation). According to reports, the actress will be the main lead of the modern and historical fusion K-drama. 

Lee Se Young's agency Prain TPC shortly responded to the news that Lee Se Young has been selected as the main lead of the upcoming K-drama. According to the management, "The Story of Park's Marriage Contract" is one of the projects that Lee Se Young is currently reviewing. 

Almost every year, Lee Se Young stars in at least one K-drama. If the actress confirms her casting, this will possibly be her 2023 project. Last year, Lee Se Young starred in the k-drama "The Law Cafe" with Lee Seung Gi, Oh Dong Min, Kim Nam Hee, Kim Seul Gi, and Ahn Dong Goo.

Lee Se Young started her acting career since she was a child. She made her acting debut in 1996. She is known for being part of the K-dramas "Jewel in the Palace," "Missing You," "The Gentlemen of Wolgyesu Tailor Shop," "A Korean Odyssey," "The Crowned Clown," "Doctor John," "Kairos," "The Red Sleeve," and more.

On March 31, it was officially announced that Jo Bok Rae will be part of the upcoming k-drama The Story of Park's Marriage Contract.

According to reports on April 3, Jin Kyung will be joining the upcoming MBC K-drama The Story of Park's Marriage Contract. She will be the villain of the story and will portray as a successful CEO and a stepmother to Bae In Hyuk's character.

In the upcoming K-drama, Yoo Sun Ho will play the character named Kang Tae Min. He is the half-brother of Bae In Hyuk's character Kang Tae Ha. He is currently the hottest star in Korea. He is a third-generation conglomerate who wasn't given much attention by his mother, and so is hungry for love. After meeting Lee Se Young's character Park Yeon Woo, he slowly falls in love with her. 

Aside from Lee Se Young, Bae In Hyuk, and Yoo Sun Ho, the K-drama also stars Oh Yu Jin, Jin Kyung, and Joo Hyun Young.

The Story of Park's Marriage Contract will have a total of 12 episodes and it will officially air in the second half of 2023. The K-drama will be part of the Friday and Saturday timeslot of MBC. 

 

 

This will be the first K-drama project of Yoo Sun Ho for the year. 

In 2022, he impressed everyone with his looks and performance in the hit K-drama Under the Queen's Umbrella. Many loved his chemistry with top actress Kim Hye Soo and the other young actors who acted as his brothers in the series. 

The Story of Park's Marriage Contract will also be Yoo Sun Ho's reunion with Bae In Hyuk and the second time playing the role of brothers. The two worked together and acted as siblings in Under the Queen's Umbrella.

 

Aside from dramas, Yoo Sun Ho will also star in the film You Did Great! with Kang Mi Na, Yoo In Soo, Shin Soo Hyun, Seo Hye Won, and Lee Chan Hyung.

"Duty After School" Shin Soo Hyun confirmed to star in Lee Se Young and Bae In Hyuk's MBC K-drama!

Shin Soo Hyun and Bae In Hyuk are reuniting in the upcoming K-drama The Story of Park's Marriage Contract.

On April 24, it was officially confirmed that Shin Soo Hyun's next project will be the MBC K-drama The Story of Park's Marriage Contract. Her agency Sublime Artist Agency also confirmed the reports. 

This will be the second K-drama of Shin Soo Hyun for 2023. Just this March and April, Shin Soo Hyun participated in the hit TVING K-drama Duty After School: Part 1 and Duty After School: Part 2. Because of this series, Shin Soo Hyun gained more fame not only in Korea but also among global viewers. She was praised for her great chemistry with all the cast, especially Shin Hyun Soo. 

Shin Soo Hyun made her debut in 2019. Before she began her acting career, she was first known as a participant in the survival programs MIXNINE and Produce 48. 

The actress has starred in several K-dramas such as Woman of 9.9 Billion, Pop Out Boy!, At a Distance, Spring Is Green, and more. 

The upcoming K-drama The Story of Park's Marriage Contract will be the reunion of Shin Soo Hyun and Bae In Hyuk. The two worked together in 2021 through At a Distance, Spring Is Green.

Aside from K-dramas, Shin Soo Hyun is set to make her big screen debut with the upcoming movie You Did Great! She will be working alongside Yoo Sun Ho, Kang Mi Na, Yoo In Soo, Seo Hye Won, and Lee Chan Hyung.

 

 

The Story of Park's Marriage Contract will tell depict the story of the golden marriage of a Confucian girl from the 19th century and a King from the 21st century. The story will be based on the webtoon of the same name by Angelique and Kim Neo U.

The upcoming K-drama will be led by Lee Se Young, Bae In Hyuk, Yoo Sun Ho, Oh Yu Jin, Jin Kyung, Joo Hyun Young, and more.

Shin Soo Hyun will play the role of Kim Ha Young. There are no other details about her character but according to reports, her role will add strength to the upcoming story.

Watch: Lee Se Young And Bae In Hyuk’s Love Transcends Time In Teaser For New Fantasy Romance Drama

 

MBC has unveiled the first sneak peek of its upcoming drama “The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract” (literal translation)!

 

Based on the webtoon of the same name, “The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract” is a time-slip romance drama about the contractual marriage between bachelor Kang Tae Ha (played by Bae In Hyuk) and Park Yeon Woo (Lee Se Young), who has traveled to modern day from 19th century Joseon.

 

The newly released teaser begins in the Joseon era, where Park Yeon Woo says in voice-over, “Destiny… no matter where you are or what happens… I love you.” Park Yeon Woo, a hopeless romantic, is devastated when her husband passes away on their wedding night.

 

However, after she is mysteriously thrown into a well, she wakes up in the 21st century, where she is startled to meet a man who looks exactly like her late husband. To her surprise, this doppelganger wants to get married to her as well—but for entirely different reasons.

 

As the couple enters a contractual marriage, Kang Tae Ha says in voice-over, “You’ll definitely be able to fly and reach the place you wish to go.”
