Couldn't there be a mischievous person hiding inside those big eyes? Rookie Yoon Sang-hyun (22), who made a mark on viewers with his sly acting as a sly prince in the tvN Saturday-Sunday drama 'Shroop' at the end of 2022, once again demonstrates his pleasant presence through the JTBC Saturday-Sunday drama 'Doctor Slump', which ended on the 17th of last month. He proved his potential for growth as an actor.

He, who retained calm emotions and lingering feelings even after the end of 'Doctor Slump', said in a recent interview with Star News, "I miss the scene a lot because it was so fun," and "I feel proud that the drama ended well."

The actors who appeared in 'Doctor Slump' had their first broadcast in October of last year with all filming completed. Regarding this, Sang-Hyun Yoon confessed, "I was waiting with excitement as I was appearing in a project a little over a year after finishing 'Shroop,'" and "I was curious because I didn't know how I would appear while filming."

'Doctor Slump' is a romantic comedy drama depicting the cardiopulmonary resuscitation of Nam Ha-neul (played by Park Shin-hye) and Yeo Jung-woo (played by Park Hyeong-sik), whose lives were only on the upward curve but then hit the brakes. Sang-hyun Yoon played the role of Nam Bada, Nam Ha-neul's younger brother, and gave a passionate performance.

Although Nambada is hateful, it has a charm that cannot be hated and is an atmosphere maker. Yoon Sang-hyun, who was cast for the role of Nam Bada through an audition, said, "(During the audition) I received the script directly on the spot on the day, and when I read it, it was about 90% in sync with Namba Da. The director asked me to join him right on the spot." It brought back memories of good times.

Nambada is a well-bred, well-groomed young man, but he is unemployed and has nothing special to do. Sanghyun Yoon received favorable reviews for expressing the character of the South Sea with his unique bright and cheerful energy. As expected from Busan, he was also good at acting in dialect. Sang-Hyeon Yoon said, “Nambada had many similarities to me in real life,” and added, “Her family came to Seoul from Busan and her family environment was similar in that her older sister ranked first and second in her school.”

"When filming the scene where I fight with my older sister, I acted while remembering the memories of fighting with my older sister over food that was nothing when I was young. Senior Park Shin-hye also said that she has an older brother, so we gave a lot of ideas to each other when acting. And although I moved around a lot, , I spent most of my school years in Busan, so it helped me a lot when playing the role of Nambada.”

However, in the play, he used a mix of Busan dialect and standard language to bring out the details of the southern sea character. Sang-Hyun Yoon said, "Actually, the script was written in Seoul, but I was a little greedy because I wanted to make this role more interesting." He added, "Because Nambada lived in Busan and moved to Seoul, I wanted to think more realistically and mix in some dialect. “I acted with my thoughts,” he explained.

He bickered with Park Shin-hye, who plays the female protagonist Nam Ha-neul, and showed 'chemistry' comparable to that of real siblings. Regarding his acting chemistry with Park Shin-hye, Sang-hyun Yoon said, "I've been watching as a fan since 'The Heirs', and senior Park Shin-hye first told me, 'I thought she was so cute when I saw her role as Grand Prince Muan in 'Shuroop'.'" He added, "It was the day of the reading. “Thanks to you, I gained confidence. They gave me a lot of encouragement while filming and gave me a lot of know-how and help, so I had fun filming,” he expressed satisfaction.

“Senior Park Shin-hye looked at me very cutely. I think she thought I was especially cute because I was the youngest on the set. So, whenever she came (to the set), she often bought me something to eat. She bought me chocolate snacks, and they were so delicious that I remember them a lot.” "I've been eating those snacks often since then. I saved them in the car and ate them today as well. Haha."

It was Yoon Sang-hyun's first acting collaboration with Park Hyeong-sik, who plays the male lead, Yeo Jeong-woo. Yoon Sang-hyun said, "I learned as much from senior Park Hyeong-sik as I did from senior Park Shin-hye. I met him for the first time on the reading day, and he looked like a prince from a cartoon, so I glanced at him while reading. Every time I saw him at the filming site, he was cute, hugged me, and was happy to see me. “Even when I was acting, whenever I said I wanted to try something, they gave me a lot of encouragement and support, saying, ‘Just try it.’ Thanks to that, I think I acted with confidence,” he confessed.

Actor Park Hyung Sik shared his thoughts on appearing in the drama ``Doctor Slump.'' The JTBC Saturday-Sunday drama "Doctor Slump" (screenplay: Baek Sun-woo, director: Oh Hyun-jung), which ended airing amid positive reviews in South Korea, is about Nam Ha-neul (Park), who falls into the biggest slump of his life for various reasons. It is a romantic comedy that depicts the story of CPR between Shin-hye and Yeo Jeong-woo (Park Hyung-sik) in response to their troubled lives. The sight of Yeo Jung Woo overcoming misfortune and growing even more warmed the hearts of viewers. Park Hyung Sik's "Doctor Slump" Korean Interview Yo Jung Woo's growth story, in which he falls into the worst slump of his life and tries to overcome repeated misfortunes and start a new life, until he regains his original self and happiness, is a story that viewers will love It touched my heart deeply. The story with Nam Ha-neul, who taught me how to overcome slumps and how to overcome pain and sadness and feel happiness, left a deep impression on me. Above all, Park Hyung Sik's acting skills shined in each scene. In each episode, Yeo Jung-woo's emotional changes, which are clearly contrasted, were shown with delicate and deep acting skills, eliciting sympathy. Park Hyung-sik was praised for turning his expectations into reality with the strong vitality he injected into the character of Yeo Jung-woo. Park Hyung Sik captivated viewers with his warm energy, comfort, and excitement. All eyes are on his future activities and what kind of character he will play in the next work. --Please tell us why you decided to appear in "Doctor Slump" and what your impressions were when you first read the script. Park Hyung-sik: I sympathized with and became interested in the subject matter of slump and burnout. When I read it, I thought it was good that it depicted such a subject in a deep and warm way. It was also interesting to see how all the characters had their own charms. ――Yeo Jung Woo is a person who was living a smooth life but fell into a trap and fell down in an instant. Please tell us about the process of creating the character of Yeo Jung Woo. Also, was there anything you particularly focused on when acting? Park Hyung-sik: First, I thought about how to portray the perfect Jung-woo, who was born smart and had a heart for others. Jung Woo has always had a cheerful and cheerful personality, and before his medical accident, he had lived a smooth life, and I believed that he would continue to do so. In such a situation, I was worried about how to portray Jung-woo, who was suddenly faced with a crisis due to a medical accident, and how he would overcome this crisis. I talked a lot with the director and scriptwriter and got to know more about Jung Woo. Jungwoo was a bigger and more wonderful person than I expected. He was able to love and protect himself, and even though he was deeply hurt, he acted as if nothing had happened so as not to worry Ha-neul, and I felt that Jung-woo's big heart was amazing as he hid his pain and smiled. . --What was the chemistry between the actors and the atmosphere on set? Park Hyungsik: It was just perfect. The filming set was full of consideration and passion from all the cast and production staff. We all got together and read the script together, discussed with the director what parts we needed to revise, and we all laughed at the occasional ad-libs. It was always full of positive energy, and it was fun because I couldn't predict what kind of ad-libbing and chemistry would emerge in each scene. I was surprised by the passion and sense of my fellow actors and seniors, and I learned a lot from them. (Park) Shin-hye and Yoon Park-hyung have grown even more, and I was happy to be able to meet them and work with them for the first time in a while. ――Was there anything that left an impression on you during filming? Park Hyung Sik: I still remember the scene in Busan where we filmed the scene (episode 14) where Jung Woo confessed his pain, saying, ``I can't forgive you easily,'' while sitting on a bench with senior Jang Hye Jin. I am. During the filming, my senior expressed his heartfelt support to me and told me what he felt was his sincere support, and I will never forget the gratitude and emotion I felt at that moment. I would like to take this opportunity to once again thank Jang Hye Jin and tell him that I love him. --What was the most impressive reaction from viewers? Park Hyung-sik: I've seen comments that the straightforward expressions of the characters are good. I also liked the unpretentious appearance of the characters, so their reactions were the most impressive. -- Your comical yet realistic acting, which uses your body, attracted attention. I think Park Hyung Sik's natural improvisational movements were another highlight of this work. Park Hyungsik: It wasn't like I was preparing for this scene (lol). I used to watch a lot of comedy movies with Jackie Chan and Jim Carrey. I've always loved their work because it always made me laugh, and I think the ideas and improvisations that suddenly come out are a result of that influence. ――What meaning does this work have for Park Hyung-sik? Also, what do you want viewers to feel through this work? Park Hyung-sik: This work was a healing work for me as well, and I think it will remain in my memory for a long time. Anyone can experience a slump or burnout, and it should never be hidden, so I hope that we can live in a society where it is normal for emotional wounds to be treated at the hospital, just as you would go to the hospital if you were injured. I am. When overcoming emotional scars, I think it's most important to know how to protect yourself and love yourself. I would be happy if many people could sympathize with this work and find comfort in it. ――If there was anything you would like to say to Yeo Jung Woo, who has overcome the crisis, what would it be? Park Hyungsik: Jungwoo, it must have been really difficult. There are many people around you who care about you and love you, so don't worry and do what you want to do to the best of your ability. May you always be happy and keep a warm heart as you move forward. --Finally, please give a message to the viewers who have loved "Doctor Slump" and Yeo Jung Woo. Park Hyung Sik: Thank you to everyone who has loved 'Doctor Slump' and Yeo Jung Woo. I acted with the desire to bring good meaning, laughter, empathy, and healing to everyone, and I worked hard with the desire to convey that feeling properly. I'm really sad to have to say my final goodbyes like this, but I'm grateful for the attention and love I received from so many people. I hope there is always a lot of hope and good health for all the viewers every day! thank you very much.

-Continuing from Interview ①,

I was often told that I was blunt, but I confessed that while acting, my real personality seemed to change just like the character in the play. Sang-Hyun Yoon said, "As I take on such a role, I actually feel like I'm becoming more mischievous. Even in my daily life, I joke around a lot and talk a lot. It creates a lot of positive energy."

'Doctor Slump' performed well, recording the highest viewership rating of 9.9% (based on Nielsen Korai metropolitan area). At one point, it ranked first in the non-English language TV series category on Netflix and received a global response. He said, "Recently, viewers who watched 'Doctor Slump' are asking me if I'm Park Shin-hye's younger sister. Since they recognize me, I think, 'The drama ended well.' You can feel the reaction of overseas fans by looking at social media." He said.

Sanghyun Yoon is currently studying at the Department of Theater, College of Arts, Dongguk University. He is approaching his dream as an actor step by step by juggling his studies and work. “I started dreaming of becoming an actor when I was 20,” he explained. “When I entered ‘Shrup’ at the age of 21, I really wanted to be good at acting, so I took a leave of absence from school to get a better feel for the field.”

The reason I chose to major in acting when I was first preparing for college was simply because I was interested in arts and physical education. He said, “At that time, I liked working with my body rather than dreaming of becoming an actor, so I applied to the Department of Theater and Film.” "When I was young, I played the violin in the Haeundae Municipal Youth Orchestra for a long time. I played the violin for about 8 to 9 years from elementary school to the first year of high school. I also played a lot of soccer. I learned basketball, played table tennis, and played a lot of ball sports, so I was naturally good at arts and physical education. “I think there was a lot of interest in that direction.”

Now I am focusing solely on acting. He confessed that his desire for acting is growing as he begins to work on his projects one by one. Sang-Hyun Yoon said, “When I stand in front of the camera, I sometimes think, ‘I’m doing a good job,’ or ‘I’m enjoying this job,’” and “I also have a desire to play more roles in the future.”

As an actor, he chose Choi Woo-sik as his role model. Yoon Sang-hyun said, "I've always watched a lot of dramas and movies (starring Choi Woo-sik)," and "I think it resembles the acting style I want to do." In particular, he said he was impressed by the tvN Monday-Tuesday drama 'Hogu's Love' (2015), in which Choi Woo-sik appeared as the main character. He said, "I like (Choi Woo-sik's) natural acting," and "He plays a variety of roles while acting very realistically. “As I watched it, I felt like I wanted to imitate it,” he said.

Regarding his future activity plans, Yoon Sang-hyun said, "I want to show a variety of sides as an actor. Since I played bright roles in both works, I want to show a more unique side in the next work. Even with a small facial expression, I want to shake the viewers and draw attention." “I want to play a role that can attract people,” he said. Lastly, about 'Doctor Slump', he said, "It was a precious experience. As I worked with seniors who had a lot of know-how, every day on set felt really precious to me. Everyone was so kind to me, so I had a lot of good memories." “It’s the same,” he said.

→ Park Hyeong-sik, ‘young-faced’ actors who played school uniforms in their 30s [Comprehensive]

As an actor, you often have to act in a way that is in line with your original age. There is even a star who wore a school uniform and acted as a high school student even in his 30s, more than 10 years after graduating. We've compiled a list of male stars who perfectly played student roles with amazing baby faces.

Actor Byun Woo-seok became a hot topic by wearing a school uniform while playing the role of a high school student in tvN's new Monday-Tuesday drama 'Seonjae Up High School', which aired on the 8th.

He played the role of Ryu Seon-jae, a top star in Korea and a promising swimming prospect in the past.

Regarding his feelings about wearing a school uniform and acting as a high school student at the age of 32, Byun Woo-seok made people laugh by honestly answering, "I thought it would be the last time I wore a school uniform in a previous work, but after seeing this work, I wanted to appear so much that I thought I would wear it one more time." . He then smiled and said, “I think this work will probably be my last school uniform.”

Previously, Byun Woo-seok also wore a school uniform in the movie '20th Century Girl', which appeared in 2022, and became a hot topic with his 'preservative beauty'.

In response, netizens commented, “You look like you’re 32 years old,” “It looks like you can wear it for another 10 years,” and “You don’t feel out of place at all, do you?” There was a reaction like this.

Actor and singer Park Hyung-sik also made people laugh by saying that he felt guilty about wearing a school uniform for the first time in a long time.

Park Hyung-sik played the role of doctor Yeo Jeong-woo in the recently concluded drama JTBC's 'Dr. Slump', and worked with Park Shin-hye as classmates who reunited 14 years after high school.

In the play, Park Hyeong-sik appeared wearing a school uniform for a high school flashback scene, and he made everyone around him laugh by confessing that wearing a school uniform at the age of 32 “felt like I was sinning for no reason.”

Park Hyeong-sik also expressed his unique concerns, saying, "It's difficult to decide how long I can wear the school uniform. I don't think I can wear the school uniform anymore, but people around me say I can still wear it."

Actor Lee Je-hoon also shook the hearts of viewers by acting in a school uniform at the age of 31 for the filming of the drama 'Signal'.

Lee Je-hoon, who appeared in the drama 'Signal', which aired in 2016, played the role of Park Hae-young, a profiler on the long-term U.S. criminal investigation team. In the play, Lee Je-hoon plays Park Hae-young in high school, appearing in her school uniform and capturing her attention with her rebellious image.

At the time, netizens reacted to Lee Je-hoon wearing a school uniform with comments such as "He looks so young" and "He suits the role of a high school student better than expected."
