Korean dramas shook up the archipelago in the first half of this year as well. A Japanese media outlet revealed the most-loved Korean dramas in Japan in the first half of this year. On

June 29, Japanese media Model Press announced the top 10 most-loved Korean dramas in Japan in the first half of this year. The survey was conducted from May 17 to May 29, with a total of 7,826 responses, with 89.5% being female. The

top-rated drama was 'Queen of Tears' starring Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Ji-won. 
 

Second place went to 'Marry My Husband' starring Park Min-young. Even in Japan, Park Min-young's loss of 37 kg to play the role of a cancer patient caused a stir. The drama 'Doctor Slump' starring Park Shin-hye and Park Hyeong-sik ranked third.

It was fun because it was my first time taking such a variety of photos, including fashion, in Japan. I’m looking forward to seeing the results since they captured so many beautiful shots. I feel great because I think my first appearance will turn out very well.

 

You often appear in gravure and wear fashionable, standout styles. How would you describe your fashion sense? What kind of styles do you like?

I prefer a style that looks polished yet understated. Instead of something flashy, I like to wear jeans, a t-shirt, and a jacket.

 

‘Doctor Slump’ is creating quite a buzz in Japan. What does ‘Doctor Slump’ mean to you?

It’s been a while since we’ve had a romantic comedy like this, and I believe it’s a story that many people can relate to. This issue isn’t just relevant to Koreans but resonates with people worldwide in today’s society. I think many will find it easy to sympathize with. This show has the potential to bring both ‘laughter’ and ‘healing’ simultaneously.

 

 

What is your dream as an actor?

I want to become an actor who can effectively convey the roles I play.

This is your first visit to Japan in 7 years. I’m curious to hear your impressions of Japanese fans and your thoughts after the fan meeting.

It was truly touching to see more fans filling the event venue than ever before. I’m even happier to announce the opening of my Japanese fan club, and I look forward to meeting you all again in April.

When I wake up in the morning, the first thing I do is check my phone to see if I received any calls while I was sleeping, and I always try to drink water.

I believe in the significance of human relationships, especially as I grow older. This realization often strikes me during moments spent drinking with friends. With each passing experience, meeting new people doesn’t quite feel the same anymore. It’s become more about nurturing and cherishing the connections we already have, fostering healthy relationships among us.
