Kim Tae Hee, Kim Sung Oh, and Lim Ji Yeon may be starring in a tvN drama together!

On October 6, a representative of Kim Tae Hee’s agency Story J Company shared, “Kim Tae Hee has received an offer to star in tvN’s ‘House With a Yard’ (literal title), and she is reviewing the offer.”

On the same day, Kim Sung Oh’s agency Studio Santa Claus Entertainment revealed that Kim Sung Oh was also offered a role in “House With a Yard” and that he is positively reviewing it.

Lim Ji Yeon is also reported to have been cast in the drama, but her agency has not yet commented regarding these reports.

Kim Tae Hee and Im Ji Yeon will reportedly work together for the upcoming tvN drama "A House With A Yard" (literal translation).

On October 6th, media outlets reported that Kim Tae Hee and Im Ji Yeon will be the main leads of the upcoming suspense thriller tvN drama  "A House With A Yard."

Kim Tae Hee's agency Story J Company responded to the casting reports. They stated, "Kim Tae Hee is currently reviewing the offer to star in the drama. Nothing has been decided yet. Meanwhile, Im Ji Yeon's side hasn't responded to the reports. 

"A House With A Yard" will bring down the illusion of a happy house with a yard through the suspicion and awareness of housewives who are seen as full of happiness in a perfect house that other people envy. The story will be based on a novel with the same name.

The upcoming series will be helmed by director Jung Ji Hyun, the man behind the dramas "Twenty-Five Twenty-One," "You Are My Spring," "The King: Eternal Monarch," and "Search: WWW."

"A House With A Yard" will reportedly have a total of eight episodes and it will premiere in the first half of 2023. 

 

 

If Kim Tae Hee confirms her casting, this will be her comeback drama after three years. She last starred in the 2020 series "Hi Bye, Mama!" together with Lee Kyu Hyung, Go Bo Gyul, Seo Woo Jin, Shin Dong Mi, and Oh Eui Shik.

Today, News1 reported that Rain and Kim Ha Neul were cast in the new drama She (working title) slated for release on Disney Plus. In response, both Rain and Kim Ha Neul’s agencies confirmed, “The actor was offered the lead role in the upcoming drama She and is now positively reviewing it.”

She, originally titled Red Carpet, depicts the story of a woman, who once became perfect through marriage, becoming “complete” through a new love in her life. A Korean Odyssey director Park Hong Kyun and writer Choi Yoon Jung have teamed up for the project.

The main lineup has been confirmed for ENA’s new suspense-thriller House With a Yard, which stars Kim Tae-hee (Hi Bye, Mama!) in her drama comeback, along with Im Ji-yeon (The Glory), Kim Sung-oh (Unlock the Boss), and musical actor Choi Jae-rim (Green Mothers’ Club).

Based on a best-selling novel written by filmmaker Kim Jin-young (The Other Child), the title refers to the home of our protagonist Joo-ran (Kim Tae-hee). One day, she notices a suspicious smell (alas, it’s not Joo-won a skunk) in her backyard and this becomes the starting point of the story’s mystery, leading Joo-ran to see the growing cracks in her once unblemished life.

 

Im Ji-yeon’s character Sang-eun, on the other hand, is all too aware of the challenges in her life and has been feeling trapped by her limited options. Still, she doesn’t give up hope on finding a better life and she finally reaches a turning point when she meets Joo-ran.

Joo-ran’s husband is Jae-ho – played by Kim Sung-oh – who is described as a perfectionist and a skilled doctor. But unlike the increasingly worried Joo-ran, Jae-ho doesn’t seem bothered by the odd smell lingering in their yard and he clashes with his wife on the matter.

Rounding out the group, Choi Jae-rim plays Sang-eun’s husband, Yoon-beom, who works for a pharmaceutical company. He is also one of the causes (if not the main one) of Sang-eun’s trauma, as the character is described to be prone to violence and threats.

ENA’s upcoming drama “Lies Hidden in My Garden” has dropped new stills featuring Lim Ji Yeon!

Based on a best-selling novel, “Lies Hidden in My Garden” is a suspenseful new thriller about two women who lead entirely different lives. However, a suspicious smell in one of their backyards winds up bringing the two together in ways that they could never have expected.

Kim Tae Hee will star as Joo Ran, a housewife who seems to have the perfect life, with a husband and son that anyone would envy. However, cracks begin to form in her happy home when she notices a strange stench emanating from her backyard. Meanwhile, “The Glory” star Lim Ji Yeon will play Sang Eun, a victim of domestic violence who dreams of escaping her hellish reality.

In the newly released stills, Lim Ji Yeon has transformed into Sang Eun who is desperate to escape from domestic violence.

 

Sang Eun is looking at herself wearing a tank top through the mirror in her bathroom. Her protruding collarbone, bony arms, and dark bruises all over her upper body hint at her unfortunate marriage life.

 

In another image below, Sang Eun exudes a cold and dark aura as she stares into a blank space with dry and empty eyes. Unlike her slim body, her round belly suggests that she is pregnant which adds to the shock. Anticipation is high for Lim Ji Yeon’s new acting transformation, which heralds a complete overturn from her previous role in “The Glory.”
