I remember that Misty did cause quite a stir when it came out, but didn't know it had a scene like that. It's interesting that you bring up how viewers may interpret the scene differently. Something that isn't actually that uncommon, I have noticed.

 

I only remember that the drama had @Ameera Ali's husband as one of the leads or second leads. Wonder if he played the 2nd lead you're referring to?

If all else fails, I just need to see the third on-screen pairing of my one true couple, Pichi Couple: Lee Dong Wook and Yoo In Na.  Drama gods, please.

Last couple I will recommend is the noona , "rich girl poor guy" couple from Gentleman and a Lady. Lee Se Ryun and Park Dae Beom. Why? They are one of the few kdrama couples that gave me a proper hug.  They were so cute with their unbridled affection!! my heart!!

 

 

KDrama hugs are soooooooo terrible, but even those that look good do not pass my body language test. The upper half of the body seems to be in close contact, but in the lower body (waist down) there is an unconscious gap created when your hug isn't genuine or heartfelt or you are uncomfortable. Kinda like how Tom Cruise's body language with his wives always seemed off even when he was jumping off Oprah's sofa.

 

I like actors who hug well because: 

- They have good rapport between them or

- they are naturally physically affectionate people or

- they are professionals who do what needs to be done and they delivered.

 

If I notice a couple has one of those forced hugs that looks deceptively good in the upper half, I lose my immersion. I noticed that Son Ye Jin's skinship in Something In The Rain was a bit off... I'll bet she and Hyun Bin were dating by then... Even Park Bo Young and Park Hyung Sik's hug on page one of this thread is off to me! No wonder PHS was the only one who was in love with her while she had him in the friend zone!! lol!!

 

On the other hand, Jung Hae In and Han Ji Min gave a hug that was convincing... look how the waist and thighs are in contact!! <3!!

 

 

may all the bad hugging actors learn from the queen of skinship and chemistry., PARK MIN YOUNG!!
