I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought about it being really similar to second husband. 

1) The mother-in-law that hates her poor future daughter-in-law

2) not registering the marriage or their kid. This part would be a red flag to anyone else, our weirdly innocent FL is blind to it. You'd think she would have street smarts with how she grew up, but NOPE.

3) hardworking "poor" FL supported "husband" through school because she thinks of them as married. He does not. Being registered on a matchmaking site when he has a kid ... ewww.

4) "husband" being gross and sleeping with rich SFL. 

5) Poor main lead actually being rich 

 

I wouldn't be surprised if partway through the drama JiHo ends up becoming a lawyer for the company. 

 

YG being obsessed with red is so funny. Kids grow up and change. In all that time she didn't ever come out and say "I like blue now"...? REALLY?! LOL It's kind of ridiculous. 

 

I like how aware InHa is of his role as a pawn in his grandma's business. He's not what I expected, and I really like the way he spoke to HS. He's really charming. 

 

@Yazusa I think they said MiSo's father was some average guy. They talked about how YG chose love over money and Ma didn't like that. YG works for Ma, and since the prosecutor was causing problems, she wanted YG to marry him to get him under control. MiSo was in the way, that's why she wanted her dead. Ma is like a puppet master. She wants to control everyone in her circle, including her staff.

Just watched Episode 1 last night, I thought it was quite decent and already some hint of swapped identity, adoption, etc.

 

The writers seem to be recycling a lot of plots used as most mentioned above.

 

The Secret House is slow until Ji Hwan married Tae Hee (when I started watching around episode 30 onwards). I hope this will not be as slow.

The ML is still going on blind dates while the FL is sending out wedding invitations. I wonder if their kid will die. 
 

Writers like to make a clean break, although in Second husband the SML was kept alive and so was the kid.

She is also being controlled by her brother according to the summary.

 

I do agree @CupcakeEonni she had slaved to get to be an independent woman and had his kid, but she didn't or couldn't see what he was really like,   kdrama  writers  are strange. I think it's just to move the storyline. Who is Jiho?

He is the hotshot prosecutor who cheats on the FL on their non-happening wedding day.  
 

At least we don't have HS/MS being stepped on by fake SY anymore. She is a fighter. 
 

How is another round of DNA tests being initiated? It has to be the kid in need of something or Seol is need of something.

I can't image how distasteful it would be at the end when it is all kumbaya and fake SY is forgiven.

 

Maybe JH will take a back seat once  Chaebol grandson and HS start dating.

my guess is that it will be like second husband -- JiHo is the bad one (so he will get paired with se young) while InHa is the good one and will eventually be paired with hyesu.

can't figure out why chairman Ma found it necessary to swap the kids -- what exactly does it matter which kid YuKyung raises? not like she is going to hand over her company to YuKyung anyway. seems like a bit too much of puppet master games. 

found the dynamic between InHa and SeYoung really interesting -- rather than her being clingy, she hates him, he hates her but she is ambitious and open about it. makes for a charged vibe that is fun to watch!

Okay so the swirling mess is slowly taking on a more recognizable shape ...

 

- YK works for Chairman Ma, but what is the grand plan? Chairman Ma had her first love/husband killed, and tried to kill her daughter, to do what? Drive her into the arms of the prosecutor that was eye balling her company? All that was what 20 years ago? BTW if she wanted to kill the daughter originally, then finds shes still alive, then why the swap? Why not have her killed? I thought the whole idea was to have YK seeking justice for her daughter thats why she'd stick to a prosecutor. Still not entirely sure whats going on here

 

- In Ha is Chairman Ma's grandson, and it looks like her drug dealing son wasn't executed after all

 

- So its looking like Ji Ho is a legal powerhouse but he's still socially slimy

 

- Sun Mi also works at the company, so all the September birthday girls are still semi-together

 

- Can't tell yet if YK's secretary is loyal or shifty

 

- As others have pointed out, the Second Husband similarities are remarkable, but In Ha and Ji Ho are supposedly friends in this one, so lets see how long that one lasts

 

- The wardrobes for this drama have been great so far but we did have 1 startling offense ... that black/white striped monstrosity In Ha was wearing ...

 

 

 

Se Young should've broken off the engagement for that alone ... please don't do that again

It was a guy before who helped the Chairman swap the DNA test. This secretary is new, but they are all super efficient. Chairman Cha has a male secretary, I thought he looked like YK's old secretary.

 

Fake SY is manipulating everyone but she may be overreaching with her attempt to outplay the old fox. She must have forgotten that her identity was given to her by Chairman Cha. She can lose everything if she is found out but the Chairman could just brush off her involvement. I hope their confrontation - there will be one - will not be too soon. There are dozens more episodes.

 

I am neutral with the FL. She seems new but she's already 34. This perky unconditional love type ..... 

a bit better than the Gold Mask FL at the
beginning.

Must not forget IH, the other ML or SML. He looks old. The 50 year old Jang looks younger than him and also JH (40) looks younger. 

 

I don't like or dislike any character right now. Too predictable. Even the daughter is iffy cute.

she is over the top bad character and over acting too. CEO Ham was thoroughly evil and excellent acting.

She is an employee so far. Maybe they are related, illegitimate daughter of Cha's husband perhaps?

So when/how do you guys think YK & HS will figure out they're really mother/daughter?

 

- As far as I can tell, only 4 people know of the switch ... Chairman Ma, the orphanage Director, one of the chairman's secretaries, and Se-Young

 

- Chairman Ma and Se-Young have no motivation to tell, and currently neither do the director or the secretary

 

- While YK is still extremely fond of HS, she thinks Se-Young is her real daughter so shes not even looking at this point

 

- Unless someone lets it slip in a moment of anger, the only other way I could see the truth coming out is if the flower necklace comes into play again - while Se-Young knows its an important identifier, YK & HS know its actual history.

Watching three dailies will prob not last. But lets see how far I get. 

 

I am a little confused. How is Yoo Kyung and Chariman Ma related? They can't be biologically related, because why would she get rid of her own grandchild for a connection to the prosecuter. 

 

Chairman Ma agreed to the switch because then she has extra pawns that she can control. This way she has YK's daughter in her pocket/under her thumb. 

 

This is very much giving Second Husband vibes. 

 

I wonder how long the affair has been going on between Ji Ho and SY. Also, why he is so insistent on marrying Hye-Soo. At least he told her not to trust him.

HS had a nose bleed and we know it portends a fatal disease and only the blood of the birth mother can save her. Failing that, the blood of a woman who loves her like a daughter may also work.
