did the stepmom of his nephew kill off his sister `? The way she speaks makes it seem like that. "I made this perfect family" I shuddered when she spoke like that, as if she is playing with dolls..

 

There's sometimes scenes for me that I dislike, in kdramas, that are like cringe to me, e.g.: FL moving into ML's house without asking (bulldozing her way in) etc.., 

 

In this case FL just comes in and demands a job (although in a more elegant style than usual FL in kdramas). This is however the first time I remember when the FL apologises for her actions! My jaw dropped...

Divorce Attorney Shin: Episodes 3-4

Our hero’s small circle rapidly expands as he finds his office teeming with potential clients and new allies. While most lawyers would be thrilled about the increase in business, our divorce attorney runs from the spotlight since he never chose this profession for money or power. Rather, the shift in career comes from a deeply personal reason involving loss, and the anger burning inside of him continues to grow.

 

We pick up the morning after Sung-han’s drunken antics, and our divorce attorney wakes up with a massive hangover. While he rolls around the couch in pain, he receives a video from his friend and screams in mortification as he watches his drunk self playing the piano. Paranoid about people identifying him from the clip, he sends angry messages to the uploader to take it down but gets no reply.

 

While Sung-han waits for Hyung-geun to come in to work, a surprise visitor appears: the building cleaner PARK AE-RAN (Hwang Jung-min) a.k.a., the client of the week. As established in the previous episode, Ae-ran hit her mother-in-law after witnessing her daughters get mistreated, and she explains all of this to Sung-han. She tells him that she wants her share of the building that her mother-in-law “owns” since it originally belonged to her husband. Though her request is difficult, Sung-han looks at Ae-ran with sympathy, and eventually, he agrees to take her case.

Nursing upset stomachs, Sung-han and Hyung-geun go out to eat soup and light up when they see their favorite ramyun shop open again. They enter in high spirits but are met with a new face who laughs at the sight of them. Apologizing for her response, she tells them that she is the owner’s daughter and was informed about the three poor saps who come all the time.

 

The new owner wonders where the third person is, and on cue, Jung-shik pops up. He demands his friends to reimburse him for last night’s meal since they both left the restaurant without paying, and they tell him to shut his trap lest the new owner gets the wrong impression. However, from the look on the owner’s face, I’d say it is too late for that.

Too bad, why ratings are low. Such an amazing show.

Not fan of female lead actress, her acting is so...not there and her character is also not quite good one. She is unnecessarily forced into his cases.

 

Having said that everything except her in the show is like perfect. All 3 friends their bonding and stuff. Even noodle shop owner. Crazy rookie. Really the show makes you cry.

Well, I am enjoying this and look forward to finding out what happened to the ML’s sister and hope he gets custody of her child along with grandmother receiving visitation rights if the child wants.

 

The three amigos are the best.  I hope the one friend’s wife has a safe delivery and he and the noodle-macarons lady get together.  

 

As for the FL, she has some hidden talents yet to be displayed.

Don't know what to make of this drama aha. The friendship of the "3 weirdos" is the only thing it has goin' for it. And maybe the fallen actress turned counsel investigator, Seo Jin is what keep me from dropping this. Her personality is quite interesting LoL.

On March 19, the new drama starring Cho Seung Woo and Han Hye Jin achieved its highest viewership ratings yet. According to Nielsen Korea, the sixth episode of “Divorce Attorney Shin” scored an average nationwide rating of 7.5 percent, marking a new personal record for the show.

Divorce Attorney Shin, starring Cho Seung Woo and Han Hye Jin, achieved its best-ever rating of 7.52% for its 6th episode on March 19. The legal drama observed a significant improvement since its Saturday episode's viewership of 5.66%. The average rating of the K-drama for the last week is 6.59%. Hopefully, the upcoming episodes will continue to attract more domestic and international viewers to the show.

To be honest the cases are a bit too simple. It was weird to see the divorce of the FL being finished within one episode. For such a jerk of a husband, he capitulated easily, there was no consequence after that, clean break. Maybe he will resurface later? 

 

One wonders how this law office stays afloat, since there is not much work for two people let alone five people they have now. I did like that the young lawyer confessed immediately and the others asked him to get the money so they can use it for a team dinner

A messy divorce case lands in our attorney’s lap this week, and though he will try his best to win, the entire situation leaves a bitter taste in his mouth. As he witnesses his clients’ self-serving fight that harms everyone around them, will our attorney learn from their mistake or will he fall prey to the same temptations?

The main divorce case this week depicts a messy love triangle between three selfish people: a professor with cancer who cheated on his wife and is willing to accept his girlfriend’s liver, a homemaker blinded by rage who would rather become a widow than a divorcee, and a hairdresser lacking shame who envies and steals for her own gain. In the end, everyone is consumed by their desires and rushes headlong into the fire, unaware of the damage caused by their actions.

Unlike the previous cases, the story of the cheating professor, his wife, and his mistress acts as a juxtaposition to highlight other strands in the drama. The unsavory end of the divorce may be a message in and of itself — the folly of humans, perhaps — but the greater impact comes from its effect on others.

The other character affected by the divorce case is Hyung-geun. At work, he plays the role of mediator, especially when it comes to their new recruit Jun and Sung-han. However, in his personal life, he flounders, not knowing what to do about his wife. Whether it stems from stubbornness or love, he hopelessly holds onto an empty relationship at the cost of his own heart, until one fateful evening.

In the midst of another pity party, Hyung-geun receives a call from his wife, and with the help of the ramyun shop owner KIM SO-YEON (Kang Mal-geum), he takes her to the hospital where he meets the other man for the first time. Forced to face reality, Hyung-geun realizes that his wife found someone new who cares for her deeply, and unlike Sung-han’s nasty divorce case, the cheater hangs his head in shame.
