Upcoming drama "Casino" will reportedly have Choi Min Shik, Heo Sung Tae, Kim Joo Ryung, Lee Dong Hwi, and Jo Jae Yoon as the main leads. 

On January 3rd, several media outlets shared that the upcoming Disney+ original series titled "Casino" will be led by  Choi Min Shik, Heo Sung Tae, Kim Joo Ryung, Lee Dong Hwi, and Jo Jae Yoon. The drama will also be helmed by famous director Kang Yoon Sung ("The Outlaws.")

"Casino" will tell the story of a man who succeeded through the casino. The drama will reportedly have over 20 billion won (over $16 million US dollars) budget. It will have 8 episodes and it will exclusively air on Disney+. The upcoming drama will be produced by BA Entertainment, C-Jes Entertainment, and Arc Media.

The upcoming drama will finalize the major casting and after it will begin its production. "Casino" will reportedly film both in Korea and overseas. The production is still reviewing the possibility of overseas filming depending on the pandemic and the quarantine guidelines.

"Casino" will reportedly start filming in late February.

 

 

Choi Min Shik and director Kang Yoon Sung were supposed to work together before in the Korean remake of the movie "Intern" produced by Warner Bros. Korea. Due to the withdrawal of Warner Bros. Korea in the Korean film business, the movie did not push through. Because of this, "Casino" will be their latest project together. 

Many are already giving their attention to the upcoming Disney+ drama "Casino" because of the plot, casts, and also the popularity of Korean content worldwide because of Netflix.

According to reports, the upcoming Disney+ series titled ‘Casino’ is set to star actors Choi Min Sik, Lee Dong Hwi, Heo Seung Tae, Kim Joo Ryung, and Jo Jae Yoon. Not only this, the original series will reportedly have director Kang Yoon Sung (‘The Outlaws’) at the helm.

‘Casino’ is reportedly to begin filming in earnest from the end of February 2022, and will follow the turbulent life of a man who sees success through a casino. Reports suggest that the drama will have a budget of over 20 billion KRW, and will be produced by BA Entertainment, C-Jes Entertainment, and Arc Media.

 

The original series is already highly anticipated due to a multitude of reasons. For starters, this marks Choi Min Sik's return to dramas for the first time in about 26 years, since 1997. The actor had originally planned to work with director Kang Yoon Sung in the Korean remake of the movie ‘Intern’, but the plans fell through.

Additionally, actors Lee Dong Hwi and Cho Jae Yoon, along with ‘Squid Game’ actors Heo Sung Tae and Kim Joo Ryung, are all reportedly set to join ‘Casino’. The stellar lineup of actors has raised expectations for the upcoming drama.

Lee Kyu Hyung will reportedly take part in the upcoming Disney+ original drama "Casino."

On May 16th, media outlet SPOTV News shared that Lee Kyu Hyung will be joining the upcoming drama "Casino." He will play as the younger counterpart of veteran actor Choi Min Shik. 

"Casino" will be the next project of director Kang Yoon Sung. He will be the director and the writer of the drama. The director is known for his past works such as "The Outlaws," "Long Live The King: Mokpo Hero," and more. 

The upcoming series will revolve around a casino king who is returning to the game at the risk of survival and life. The drama is a 20 billion won (approx. US$ 15 million) budget to produce. 

This will be the comeback of Choi Min Sik to the drama world after 26 years. He will be joined by Son Seok Koo, Lee Dong Hwi, Ryu Hyun Kyung, Heo Sung Tae, Kim Joo Ryoung, and more. 

"Casino" started filming in late February.

On June 13th, Disney+  confirmed that Choi Min Shik, Son Seok Koo, Lee Dong Hwi and Heo Sung Tae will lead their newest original series!

"Casino" will tell the story of a man once dubbed the king of the casino, who lost everything he has in an unfortunate chain of events. The man returns to the gambling scene, this time betting his life.

The drama will reportedly have over 20 billion won (over $16 million US dollars) budget. It will have a total of 8 episodes that will exclusively air on Disney+. The upcoming drama will be produced by BA Entertainment, C-Jes Entertainment, and Arc Media and will be helmed and penned by Kang Yoon Sung.

 

 

 

This will be veteran actor, Choi Min Shik's comeback to the small screen since his 1997 drama "Love and Separation."

Son Seok Koo previously starred in the recently ended series "My Liberation Notes." In the future he is set to be a part of the upcoming dramas "D.P. Season 2" and "Murder DIEary."

As we head closer to the finale of Kiss Sixth Sense, it’s prime time to check in on one of Disney+’s upcoming shows: the highly anticipated crime-action blockbuster Casino.

All eyes, of course, are on the legendary Choi Min-shik (In Our Prime) whose last drama was MBC’s Love and Separation, which aired in 1997-1998. Having focused on films for most of his career, Casino marks his first drama in over 20 years.

 

The story has Choi in the role of a casino king who suddenly loses everything in an unexpected turn of events. In order to get it all back, he enters into a dangerous gamble that puts his legacy — and survival — on the line. Joining him are Ryu Hyun-kyung (Doctor Detective), playing the head of investigations at South Korea’s National Tax Office, and Lee Kyu-hyung (Voice 4), playing Choi Min-shik’s younger counterpart.

There isn’t much information on the other characters as of yet, but we do have an impressive lineup including Sohn Seok-gu (My Liberation Notes), Lee Dong-hwi (SF8), and Heo Sung-tae (Insider). This past week, it was also reported that Jung Woong-in (Rose Mansion) will be joining the cast as well.
