Synopsis:

Although Xu Qing Jia was orphaned at a young age, he studied hard and became the best in class talent. He marries Hu Jiao, the daughter of a butcher's family. Xu Qing Jia devoted himself to serving the people and forged ahead with reforms as a county magistrate. Their story unfolds in the Northern Song Dynasty as they work together in love, marriage, and helping the people defeat corrupt officials.

Skipped to ep15, after seeing 4 episodes... coz the plot seemed slow....

 

so is the male lead, XQJ is royalty related? Son of a former queen consort?

@realistic2280a XQJ is not royalty related.  His father is used to be a government official but got framed by the big villain so got demoted to the country side.

Hi dew... on ep15... Prime Minister and his son was conversing, im not sure who he was referring to when he or was it his son said, ah...the son of the former consort... i assuming that they are referring to XQJ...

 

But overall, ive skipped most part and have ^finish^ watching the drama, as i find the plot slow and the lack of kisses, ahem, bothers me...haha... him being too ^weak^ also bothers me
