Kyung Soo Jin and Lee Hak Joo will reportedly join Lee Sung Min and Jin Goo in the upcoming drama titled "Veteran Detective."

On March 31st media outlets shared Kyung Soo Jin and Lee Hak Joo will be added to the cast of the upcoming drama "Veteran Detective." 

"Veteran Detective" narrates the story of a detective who's bound to retire. Before he retires, he will be involved with a mysterious man who follows his path while hiding his true identity. The upcoming drama will be directed by Han Dong Hwa who also helmed the dramas "Navillera," "Miss Lee," "Bad Guys: City of Evil," and "38 Task Force.' 

Lee Sung Min and Jin Goo will lead the drama. Lee  Sung Min will play the role of the veteran detective. Kyung Soo Jin will reportedly play the role of Seong Ah, the assistant of Lee Sung Min. Lee Hak Joo got the offer to play the role of Son Kyung Cheon, another detective in the drama.

"Veteran Detective" will reportedly premiere this year. 

 

 

If Kyung Soo Jin confirms her casting, this will be her first drama for 2022. Last year, she starred in two dramas such as "Mouse" and "Genesis." The actress will also join the upcoming movie "Holy Night: Demon Hunters" with  Ma Dong Seok, Girls Generation Seo Hyun, Lee David, and Jeong Ji So.

Kim Hong Pa is joining the upcoming Disney+ drama "Veteran Detective."

On June 8th Kim Hong Pa's agency Noah Entertainment confirmed the reports and stated that the actor will be joining the series. 

"Veteran Detective" is the new work of director Han Dong Hwa ("Navillera," "Bad Guys: City of Evil," and "38 Task Force"). 

Kim Hong Pa joins he main leads such as Lee Sung Min, Jin Goo, Kyung Soo Jin, Lee Hak Joo, Kim Min Jae, Jang Sung Bum, and more. 

"Veteran Detective" will tell the story of a detective who is bound to retire soon. Before he retires, he will get involved with a mysterious man who knows all about him and what he's hiding and follows his track record. 

Kim Hong Pa will play the role of Seo Kwang Soo, the chief at the Geumo Police Station. He is also the schoolmate of Lee Sung Min's character named Taek Rok. 

This will be the fourth project by Kim Hong Pa and director Han Dong Hwa. The two worked together on he dramas "Miss Lee," "Bad Guys: City of Evil," and "38 Task Force."

"Veteran Detective" will reportedly air within the year. 

 

Kim Hong Pa last starred in the 2021 Coupang Play original series "One Ordinary Day." He worked alongside Kim Soo Hyun, Cha Seung Won, Kim Sung Gyu, Kim Shin Rok, and Lee Seol. 

For this year, the actor starred in the movie "I Want to Know Your Parents" with Sol Kyung Gu, Chun Woo Hee, Moon So Ri, Oh Dal Soo, and Ko Chang Seok.

Jin Goo will be one of the main leads of the new mystery investigation Disney+ drama.

On September 13th, Jin Goo's agency Baro Entertainment revealed that Jin Goo will be starring in the Disney+ original series "Veteran Detective."

"Veteran Detective" will revolve around a detective who is about to retire but will have a warfare with a mysterious man who is tracking him while hiding his identity. 

Jin Goo will be working with Lee Sung Min, Kyung Soo Jin, Lee Hak Joo, Kim Hong Pa, and Jang Sung Bum. 

"Veteran Detective" will be the latest work of director Han Dong Hwa. He is known for the dramas "Navillera," "Miss Lee," "Bad Guys: City of Evil," and "38 Task Force." 

Jin Goo will play the role of Gook Jin, a detective who's chasing a mysterious blackmailer.

The series will be added to the upcoming Disney+ original Korean dramas like "Connect," "Third Person Revenge," "May It Please the Court," "Casino," "Moving," and more. 

"Veteran Detective" will premiere this October and will exclusively premiere on Disney+.

 

This will be the second drama of Jin Goo for 2022. He last starred in the OCN series "A Superior Day" together with Ha Do Gwon, Lee Won Keun, Im Hwa Young, Cho Yu Ha, and Han Yi Jin. 

Jin Goo is also set to star in the upcoming series "The King of the Desert." Aside from that, he is also included in the upcoming movie "Re-Born" together with Lee Yoo Mi, Song Deok Ho, Kim Min Seok, Park Kyung Hye, and Eum Moon Suk.

Disney+ has shared the first trailer for its upcoming crime-thriller drama Shadow Detective, starring Lee Seong-min (Juvenile Justice) and Jin Gu, best known for his role in Descendants of The Sun.

Set to premiere on October 26 exclusively on Disney+, the forthcoming series follows veteran police detective Taek-rok (played by Lee), who is framed for a murder just as he is about to retire from the force. The true murderer hides his identity while stalking Taek-rok, and blackmails him into re-investigating some of his past cases.

In the new trailer, Taek-rok wanders the empty police station after hours as an eerie tune plays on the radio, later coming across a stack of folders in an interrogation room. The screen splits, showing fellow officer Kook Jin-han (Jin Gu) as he walks into the main office and shuts the radio off, looking suspicious of his surroundings.

 

Taek-rok receives a text that reads “murderer”, and at that moment, a shadow seems to run past both police officers in their respective scenes, kicking off a thrilling chase.
