Watch: Lee Seung Gi Seizes Every Opportunity To Tease Lee Se Young While Filming School Day Scenes Of “The Law Cafe”

The Law Cafe” has taken viewers behind the scenes of Lee Se Young and Lee Seung Gi’s characters’ school days!

Based on the hit web novel of the same name, “The Law Cafe” is a new KBS drama about Kim Jung Ho (Lee Seung Gi), a genius former prosecutor-turned-libertine landlord, and Kim Yu Ri (Lee Se Young), the eccentric lawyer that becomes his new tenant when she opens a “law cafe” in his building.

Taking viewers all the way back to the beginning of Kim Jung Ho and Kim Yu Ri’s relationship, the new making clip starts with Lee Se Young outside in her high school uniform, practicing the drama’s first and last “action scene” as she uses a mop as a weapon. After filming the slightly embarrassing scene, the staff members excitedly praise Lee Se Young, saying, “The way you’re doing it sincerely is so cute!” and “That’s right, you just have to do it like that.” Off from the side, Lee Seung Gi teases, “You look like you just got a bit of a reality check!” before poking fun at Lee Se Young and making her burst into laughter.

In the next scene, Kim Jung Ho and Kim Yu Ri are a couple in college who sneak into class late together. Once they get to their seats, Lee Se Young sadly explains that she actually fell over and the director jokingly calls out Lee Seung Gi, saying, “But he laughed after seeing that! What a bad guy.” Lee Seung Gi makes Lee Se Young crack up as he boldly replies, “You usually burst into laughter at the most dangerous moment.”

As both actors are in their thirties by Korean reckoning, Lee Se Young shyly looks around the classroom and comments, “We’re freshmen.” Lee Seung Gi responds with a chuckle, “That’s because there are also a lot of universities for old people.”

Catch the full making video below and watch the next episode of “The Law Cafe” on September 12 at 9:50 p.m. KST!

I watched the first two episodes yesterday and I loved it! Sign me up for any drama with lee Seung gi! Plus it’s a reunion between him and lee se young :D

I got major our beloved summer vibes when watching the first episode. Man Jeong Ho having a crush on Yoo Ri for SEVENTEEN YEARS though… I thought he maybe totally disconnected with her because she didn’t actually like him in their fake relationship but it looks like it has more to do because of his dad being the prosecutor in her dad’s case and manipulated the case in some way. Meanwhile, Kim Jeong Ho has been investigating about Yoo Ri’s dad case all these years and dropping hints about the construction company in his web novels…

I’m enjoying the drama so far! Can’t wait to see the story unfold. I can use a romcom from Lee Seung Gi after his last drama…. @Sleepy Owl @partyon

Lee Seung-gi and Lee Se-young, creates a unique Law Man! Why 'Love According to The Law' is special in 3 reasons

SOURCE

[MBC]
After the first and second episodes of 'Love According to the Law' aired, 'Love According to the Law' has been receiving favorable reviews, announcing the birth of a drama that has a different texture from the dark law-related dramas centered on incidents and crimes. We have summarized three special reasons.

# Law without a Court

Except for the scene explaining the character of Kim Yu-ri (Lee Se-young), the first scene of the drama 'Love According to the Law', the court scene was boldly omitted to enhance the immersion. Unlike other law-related dramas, which were mainly conducted in law firms and courts, the familiarity was doubled by telling legal stories in the background of a familiar cafe called 'Law Cafe'. In addition, rather than a tense legal battle, it brought out hidden law-related cases in life, lowered the barrier to entry of a rather difficult subject called 'law', and made a mark with a drama that delivers much brighter energy.

# Smart use

of clichés Based on the web novel by Noh Seung-ah, who recorded more than 25 million views, 'Love According to the Law', the clichés in the original work are cleverly utilized to enhance the fun of the play. 'Romance between boyfriend and girlfriend' and 'unrequited love for a long time' were used as major points of excitement in all dramas specializing in romance. Viewers who are already familiar with this formula have naturally immersed in the emotions of the male and female protagonists, and are already giving their support to the two of them. In addition, the scene where Kim Jung-ho (Lee Seung-gi) and Kim Yu-ri growled while revealing that they were dating on the roof in the first episode, and the second episode, where they almost kissed their hands in high school and then bit their hands, slightly deviated from the expected flow and added freshness.

# Justice that breaks myths

The reason 'Love According to the Law' ranked first on all channels at the same time in the first two episodes and was able to stand tall as the throne of the Monday-Tuesday drama is because there was a warm humanism as good as a love story. In the second episode, Kim Yu-ri, who was going straight ahead with her own beliefs, as well as Kim Jeong-ho, found out that she was writing a web novel containing the corruption of construction in secret to realize the justice she had set up, revealing her thrill. hugged It is noteworthy what kind of exhilarating justice will be realized in the future by Kim Jung-ho, who was implementing justice in his own way, and Kim Yu-ri, who claimed that “a really good lawyer is a lawyer who solves problems before going to court.”

The production team of 'Love According to the Law' said, "As director Lee Eun-jin directly revealed at the production presentation, all the actors and staff are working hard with the idea that 'a warm drama is a fun drama'." The third episode of 'Love according to the law', which will continue the new genealogy, will be broadcast on the 12th (Mon), the last day of the Chuseok holiday. Please check it out,” he said.

Meanwhile, the 3rd episode of KBS 2TV's Monday-Tuesday drama 'Love according to the law' is broadcast on the 12th (Mon) at 9:50 pm.

3 Reasons You Don’t Want To Miss Out On Lee Seung Gi And Lee Se Young’s New Rom-Com “The Law Cafe”

Just two episodes into its run, KBS 2TV’s new drama “The Law Cafe” is already stealing viewers’ hearts!

Based on the hit web novel of the same name, “The Law Cafe” is a romantic comedy starring Lee Seung Gi as Kim Jung Ho, a genius former prosecutor-turned-libertine landlord, and Lee Se Young as Kim Yu Ri, the eccentric lawyer that becomes his new tenant when she opens a “law cafe” in his building. Notably, the series marks the highly-anticipated reunion of Lee Seung Gi and Lee Se Young, who starred in the hit drama “Hwayugi” together four years ago.

Spoilers

Here are three reasons you won’t want to miss out on this fun new show:

1. A legal drama that takes place outside the courtroom

One key thing that sets “The Law Cafe” apart from other legal dramas is that, with the exception of Kim Yu Ri’s final case in Episode 1, its legal battles will take place outside the courtroom.

Dramas that revolve around the law are typically set in law firms or courtrooms, but “The Law Cafe” is set in a cafe instead—leaving behind those formal, stifling settings for a cheerful, relaxed environment that most viewers will find far more familiar. Also, the cases taken on by Kim Yu Ri will involve legal issues that are hidden in our own everyday lives, adding a healthy dose of realism and accessibility to the weighty subject matter of law.

2. Smart use of clichés

The original web novel on which “The Law Cafe” is based features a number of time-tested tropes, including “friends-to-lovers,” “longtime unrequited love,” “romantic tension disguised as bickering,” and more.

While these formulas may be all too familiar to viewers, they are also beloved for a reason—and their use in the drama already has viewers rooting passionately for the lead couple.

However, even as “The Law Cafe” incorporates these kinds of clichés, there are already hints that things may not go exactly as viewers expect. One big twist in Episode 1 was that Kim Jung Ho and Kim Yu Ri had already dated in the past, while Episode 2 caught viewers off guard when a romantic near-kiss on the hand suddenly turned into Kim Jung Ho biting Kim Yu Ri instead. As the drama balances familiar tropes with unpredictable twists, the story is certain to keep viewers on their toes.

3. New and refreshing takes on the pursuit of justice

In just two episodes, Kim Yu Ri and Kim Jung Ho have already presented new, outside-the-box methods of devoting their lives to justice. Breaking preconceptions about the ways in which a lawyer can best protect their clients, Kim Yu Ri boldly suggested that the best way a lawyer could help someone was by solving their problem before they ever wound up in court.

Meanwhile, Kim Jung Ho was revealed to have been pursuing justice in another, entirely unexpected way. While it appeared that he was idling his days away after leaving his legal career behind, he turned out to be secretly writing a web novel exposing the corruption at Dohan Construction.

The third episode of “The Law Cafe” will air on September 12 at 9:50 p.m. KST.

Lee Se Young Is So Shocked She Spits Her Orange Juice Back Out In “The Law Cafe”

The tenants of Lee Seung Gi‘s building are in for a surprise on the next episode of “The Law Cafe”!

Based on the hit web novel of the same name, “The Law Cafe” is a new KBS drama starring Lee Seung Gi as Kim Jung Ho, a genius former prosecutor-turned-libertine landlord, and Lee Se Young as Kim Yu Ri, the eccentric lawyer that becomes his new tenant when she opens a “law cafe” in his building.

Spoilers

On the second episode of the drama, Kim Yu Ri took on her very first Law Cafe client, and she soon discovered that the culprit behind the excessive noise in his apartment building was none other than Dohan Construction—the same company that framed her late father for his and his co-workers’ work-related deaths.

It also came to light that Kim Jung Ho was secretly plotting to expose the corruption at Dohan Construction—and that the reason he had avoided Kim Yu Ri for so long was because of the company’s involvement in her father’s death. As Kim Yu Ri prepares to go after Dohan Construction with a lawsuit, it remains to be seen whether Kim Jung Ho will join her in her legal battle.

In newly released stills from the drama’s upcoming third episode, Kim Yu Ri hilariously parodies a famous makjang drama scene when she encounters an unexpected surprise on her way to work. Whatever she sees stops her dead in her tracks, and the orange juice she was in the process of drinking comes spilling right back out of her mouth.

Kim Yu Ri’s new Law Cafe employee Bae Joon (played by Kim Do Hoon) similarly lets his noodles fall out of his mouth as he stares over his shoulder with wide eyes—and tenants Kim Chun Daek (Jang Hye Jin) and Ms. Choi (Baek Hyun Joo) appear just as shocked.

To find out what has everyone so shocked, tune in to the third episode of “The Law Cafe” on September 12 at 9:50 p.m. KST!
