Lee Seung Gi And Lee Se Young Aren’t Your Ordinary Landlord And Tenant In New Rom-Com Drama

KBS 2TV’s upcoming drama “Love According to the Law” (literal translation; also known as “The Law Cafe”) has unveiled its main posters!

Based on the hit web novel of the same name, “Love According to the Law” is a romantic comedy about Kim Jung Ho, a genius former prosecutor-turned-libertine landlord, and Kim Yu Ri, the eccentric lawyer that becomes his new tenant when she opens a “law café” in his building. The series marks the highly-anticipated reunion of Lee Seung Gi and Lee Se Young, who starred in the hit drama “Hwayugi” together four years ago.

The new posters highlight two very different sides of the duo, who have known each other for 17 years as friends.

In one poster, the pair makes a picture-perfect couple as they welcome you to Kim Yu Ri’s new law café, where she acts as a friendly neighborhood lawyer and offers counsel to ordinary people by explaining the law in a way that is easy to understand.

As Kim Yu Ri pours Kim Jung Ho a cup of coffee with a warm and inviting smile, the caption reads, “For the price of one cup of coffee… I’ll listen to your concerns.”

Meanwhile, the second poster comically captures the chaotic nature of the longtime friends’ relationship as the pages of a contract fly haphazardly around them.

As Kim Yu Ri’s landlord, Kim Jung Ho should be the one with the power in their relationship. But the confident way that Kim Yu Ri stands above him, with one knee cockily propped up on his chair, makes it clear that the tenant is the one who unexpectedly holds all the strings in this power dynamic.

Watch: Lee Se Young Is Determined To Become A Lousy Tenant To Landlord Lee Seung Gi In Teaser For Upcoming Rom-Com

KBS 2TV has unveiled a premiere teaser for Lee Seung Gi and Lee Se Young’s upcoming drama!

Based on the hit web novel of the same name, “Love According to the Law” (literal translation; also known as “The Law Cafe”) is a romantic comedy about Kim Jung Ho (Lee Seung Gi), a genius former prosecutor-turned-libertine landlord, and Kim Yu Ri (Lee Se Young), the eccentric lawyer that becomes his new tenant when she opens a “law café” in his building.

The funny new teaser uses an interview format to get in-depth details about Kim Jung Ho and Kim Yu Ri’s relationship. After first meeting in high school, continuing their friendship throughout college, and then reuniting as adults, both characters share their personal thoughts on their 17-year-long one-sided love.

The clip begins in their high school days with Kim Yu Ri excitedly running up to Kim Jung Ho. In his interview, Kim Jung Ho seriously states, “It’s been so long that I don’t know when it started.” Kim Yu Ri adds, “There’s no way to know when it all began.”

But right after, Kim Yu Ri has her arms crossed as she scoffs and asks, “Did I like him?” before erupting into laughter. Similarly, Kim Jung Ho looks in disbelief at Kim Yu Ri and says with a big laugh, “Me?”

Contrasting their cute and lovable school days, Kim Yu Ri and Kim Jung Ho are completely different people when they meet again as tenant and landlord. Given how familiar they are with each other, the two skip all awkwardness and just get off to a rocky start. Kim Jung Ho angrily shouts, “Get out right now!” Kim Yu Ri responds with just as much annoyance, “Enough is enough! Enough!”

Their battle gets an added layer of tension when Kim Yu Ri sends Kim Jung Ho an official document for her tenancy. She explains, “If you really have to kick me out, then I’m going to make it complicated. I’m going to be a bother.” Kim Yu Ri immediately puts her plan into action as she finds her way into Kim Jung Ho’s home while drunk, making him comment, “She gets even more selfish as time goes on!”

However, the two are reminded of their past when they reunite on a spring day in a familiar spot under a cherry blossom tree. When asked what kind of relationship she has with Kim Jung Ho, Kim Yu Ri sweetly shares, “When we’re together, my life feels alive, and no matter what I do, I feel assured.”

[SPORTS CHOSUN]

'Love according to the law' showed confidence as a point to watch.

KBS 2TV's new Monday-Tuesday drama 'Love according to the law' (written by Im Eui-jeong, directed by Lee Eun-jin), which is scheduled to be broadcasted for the first time on the 5th, is a raw man's drama about Kim Jeong-ho, a former prosecutor, and Kim Yu-ri, a 4D lawyer tenant. The production team of 'Love according to the law' has revealed a point of view for viewers.

'Love According to the Law' is a drama based on the popular web novel by Noh Seung-ah, which has recorded more than 25 million views, and has already proved its box office success by being loved by many readers. Writer Lim Lim-jeong, who has excellent writing skills, perfectly adapts these originals into a drama to provide a richer and more three-dimensional story. From the first work 'KBS Drama Special 2020-One Night', writer Lim Lim-jeong, who has been praised for his character creation ability and compositional power, presents 'Love according to the law'. It heralds the birth of a 'different reality loco' that captures both exhilaration and emotion.

Lee Seung-gi, a 'romantic emperor' who returned to 'romantic comedy' after a long time, and Lee Se-young, who has established himself as a 'roco-goddess', are raising expectations for their extraordinary transformation and extraordinary chemistry. Lee Seung-gi was a monster genius prosecutor, but he is currently wearing only a sweatshirt, exuding looseness and the charm of a fact bomber at the same time. The two will go back and forth between quarrels and heart pounding, delivering sweetness like caramel macchiato and thrill like ade. Next, Kim Nam-hee, Kim Seul-gi, Oh Dong-min, Andong-gu, Kim Do-hoon, Jo Han-cheol, and Jang Hye-jin all appeared as novel characters that had never been seen before, and they renewed their lives with their passionate performances full of friendliness and immersion.

The production team said, "'Love according to the law' is a drama that contains no mercy, a burst of laughter, and warm humanism. .

Meanwhile, KBS 2TV's new Monday-Tuesday drama 'Love according to the law' will be broadcasted for the first time at 9:50 pm on the 5th.
