Mortal Combat - K-drama Style

Chingus, have you ever thought what would happen if you pit two drama characters against each other in a street fight and let them battle it out?
Well we Event Organizers have...

So we decided to choose 16 feisty kdrama characters and let them fight until we get one winner.

 

You also have a chance to win prizes in this event - 3 Viki Passes are up for grabs.

 

How does it work?

 

There are 4 rounds in total:

Round 1) 8 couples (16 characters)

Round 2) 4 couples (8 characters)

Round 3) 2 couples (4 characters)

Round 3) 1 couple (2 characters)

 

Your task is to choose the winner of each couple battling each other.  Each winner will go on to the next round.

 

The characters fighting each other as couples were picked by a draw.

 

How do I vote?

 

We will set up polls for each round. This is the poll schedule:

Poll 1) Monday Feb 21

How can I win a free Viki Pass?

Every time you vote in a poll, your name will be entered in a raffle. At the end of the event we will draw 3 winners. If you vote in 4 polls, you will have 4 tickets in the raffle and thus increasing your chances to win a free Viki Pass.

(This year we will be introducing a new rule: you cannot win a prize in 2 consecutive prize events).

@confusedheart and I had fun writing all the texts. @agenth and @Sleepy Owl also helped review them and give us some suggestions.

Fight 1:

Scarlett wins over Joo Won. She is both fierce and strong, before Joo Won even makes a move, he will land on his bottom. No other alternative. 

 

Fight 2:

Chief Kim is simply wiley. He can extract himself from bad situations by his luck, by the skin of his teeth. Miss Hong will only see the dust settled from when Chief Kim made his escape.

 

Fight 3:

Anyone doubts Ahn Yona? Junpyo's weakness his Yona's gain. She is specialised in defeating oppas. Junpyo however can't buy her off. She is no gold digger but an oppa appreciator. 

 

Fight 4:

Super top star actress trumps happy-go lucky heiress. The actress is quite arrogant and wilful and obnoxious. Her ways and ridiculous behaviour will certainly stun the naive poor girl. 

 

Fight 5:

Jung Seo Hyun is a subtle kind of power, and yet when she meets her enemy, she is swift and graceful with their death. I mean... defeat. Actor who? Just move on, or act as if you are dead. Bye!

 

Fight 6:

Do Bong Soon may have superhuman strength, but she only punches people, doesn't kill them. The Good Doctor will be able to hospitalise himself and then regroup to have a strategy worthy of defeating his enemy. Meanwhile Do Bong Soon is in lalaland... her very arrogance and confidence will be her downfall in a sneak attack by Doctor.

 

Fight 7:

Cha Yoo Jin may be a genius musician, but he has a big weakness. His OCD can be exploited by Jang Man Wol, who is always efficient and cold to succeed. Her only weakness is overspending her money. 

 

Fight 8:

While CEO Lee looks at every mirror surface to admire his reflection, his sense of style, his pure skin, his lips, eyes, hair.... suit... /fades to darkness.

 

Boss Nam Chi Won certainly doesn't waste time. HE HATES TIMEWASTERS. AND LOUD PEOPLE. AND ESPECIALLY OBNOXIOUS ONES, who don't know how to shut up. So he shuts them up.

Very nice event, guys! And @gm4queen and EOs those are some polished, awesome battle cards! I want them for real. That will help me remember all the kdrama characters from shows I haven't watched yet.

 

Honestly, I really really want to see Cheon Song Yi and Man Wol end up in a battle together. Please. I want to see it in real life, too. I'm probably not going to watch Hotel del Luna because I haven't heard great things about it, but this matchup would be stellar:
