A fun lifestyle magazine for dignified singles <Singles> has released a visual pictorial depicting the charismatic figure of Ha Seok-jin, who will return to the role of the cool perfectionist judge Ryu Seong-hoon in the mystery crime thriller <Blind>.

Ha Seok-jin, who appeared in the studio with a soft smile like the warm sunlight, boasted a variety of charms, from a natural look to a charismatic expression. As a veteran actor, it is said that the staff at the scene were amazed at his appearance that changes every moment in front of the camera.

Intense Crime, Mystery, Suspense Drama <The Blind>

The drama <Blind>, which is scheduled to be aired in the second half of this year, is a social accusation drama centered on a detective, a judge, a social worker, and a jury of nine people. Among them, Ha Seok-jin takes on the role of Ryu Seong-hoon, a reticent and cool judge and perfectionist. He said, "I paid attention to the ambiguity while expressing Sung Hoon. Even when he knew the ending, he was looking for the right emotion and tone to convince Seonghoon’s words and actions.” In addition, “In Sung Hoon’s case, he gave variations to the character’s nuances in his eyes, visuals, and voice. You can think of it as a figure of Ha Seok-jin that you have never seen before,” he said, raising expectations for the work.

Actor Ha Seok-jin's potential

When asked what is the driving force that has built up filmography since his debut in 2005, Ha Seok-jin said, "I was lucky. The people I work with also put in a lot of effort for me. I don't want to disappoint them, and I worked hard to show that I can do better." In order not to become complacent, I could feel the power of actor Ha Seok-jin, who is a well-rounded actor, in his image of trying to maintain a certain amount of responsibility, weight, anxiety and duty.

The drama <Blind> starring Ha Seok-jin will be available on tvN in the second half of this year.

Taecyeon questions who is Blind with Jung Eun-ji and Ha Suk-jin

by tccolb

Moving from OCN to tvN, the mystery-thriller Blind has released their first poster and video teaser, giving us a quick peek at the main cast.

The drama takes a deep dive into social injustices, shining the spotlight on the ordinary citizens who too often become victims while the more powerful perpetrators turn a blind eye to these uncomfortable truths.

In this story, Taecyeon (Secret Royal Inspector and Joy) stars as detective Ryu Sung-joon. Passionate to an almost desperate degree, he has a tendency to jump in head first without thinking things through, but is persistent about pursuing criminals and ensuring that they are captured.

Playing his older brother is Ha Suk-jin (A DeadbEAT’s Meal), in the role of judge Ryu Sung-hoon. Intelligent and upright, he did well in his studies and is successful in his career. He always strives to be impartial and does his best to judge each case fairly.

Rounding out the trio is Jung Eun-ji (Work Later, Drink Now) playing social worker Jo Eun-ki, who always makes people her top priority. While she may not be able to change the world, she keenly understands that every child and person she helps makes a big difference.

In both the new poster and short teaser, the focus is on the drama’s main theme of blindness, with our three leads shrouded in smoke and pictured only in black and white. We are then left with the question asked by our hero, which is repeated in the text screen as well as the poster: “Who is the person closing their eyes?”

Directed by PD Shin Yong-hwi (Voice 4, Tunnel) with scripts penned by Kwon Ki-young (Andante), tvN’s Blind premieres September 16 in the Friday-Saturday slot.
