Song Il Kook (송일국) is selected to lead the large-scale 50-episode historical drama “The Book of Three Han: The Chapter of Joo Mong (삼한지-주몽 편, 三韓志-朱蒙篇)” scheduled to be aired by MBC in April of 2006. He plays the role Joo Mong, King of Dong Myung (주몽 동명왕). The production companies “Olive Line (올리브나인)” and “Green Snake MNC (초록뱀앰앤씨)” decide to invite SIK to lead the drama because his previous dramas “Terms of Endearment” and “God of the Sea” were very successful and his tall physics and sculptured-like face exactly match the image of Joo Mong. The script writers are Jung Hyung Soo (정형수), the writer of the drama “Damo”, and Choi Wan Gyoo (최완규) who wrote for “All In”. Part of the filming will be in China. The lead actress has not been decided yet.

I'm excited about SIK new drama as well...too bad for me that I haven't watched Emperor of the Sea regularly before so I'll make sure to watch this one...anyway SIK's old drama Bodyguard is airing in my country right now...I'm happy that there is an SIK drama on our local TV :D

(서울=뉴스와이어)지난 12월 29일, 무대인사에 오른 <작업의 정석> 주연배우 손예진, 송일국과 오기환 감독을 대구 시민들은 뜨겁게 환영했다. 개봉 이후 꾸준한 흥행세를 이어가고 있어 관객에게 감사 인사를 겸한 새해 인사를 위해 대구를 찾은 손예진, 송일국은 줄지은 매진 행렬과 관객들의 열렬한 환호에 기쁨을 감추지 못했다. 특히, 미인과 사과로 유명한 도시 대구가 낳은 스타 손예진은 오랜만에 고향을 찾게 돼 그 어느 때보다 활짝 웃으며 관객들의 환호에 답례했다.

무대 인사를 위해 대구역에 도착한 손예진, 송일국은 진행 스탭들과 함께 버스에 올라 대구 시내 극장가로 이동하게 되었는데, 손예진은 즉석에서 버스에 <작업의 정석> 현수막을 달고 다니면 홍보가 되지 않겠느냐고 제안. 이에 질세라 송일국은 소매를 걷어 올리고, 8M가 넘는 대형 현수막을 버스에 직접 매달았다. 이를 본 대구 시민들은 대구 역에서 극장이 있는 시내 중심가까지 버스의 이동 행렬을 따라 때 아닌 마라톤 경주를 벌이기도. <작업의 정석> 홈페이지와 극장 홈페이지만을 통해 사전 고지된 손예진, 송일국의 무대 인사는 거리를 지나던 시민들의 가세로 순식간에 매진되는 진풍경을 연출해냈다.

Han Hye Jin is selected to costar with Song Il Kook in the large-scale 50-episode historical drama “The Book of Three Han: The Chapter of Joo Mong (삼한지-주몽 편, 三韓志-朱蒙篇)” scheduled to be aired by MBC in April of 2006. She plays the role Soh Suh No (소서노) who is extremely intelligent and is Joo Mong (played by Song Il Kook)’s second wife. The PD of the drama is Lee Joo Hwan (이주환) whose previous work was the drama “Miss Mermaid (인어 아가씨)”. The production cost is around 30 billion Won. 70% of the filming will be in Korea while 30% will be in China.

I saw the KBS award and what can I said..he is so handsome. I wanted kissed him!

He won all three categories that he was nominated and he was so shy. His speech is so short comparing to others and that glassed make him look extremely intelligent and calm. What a man....! YUM!

and his costar HAN GA IN was there also...she presented him the award though he didn't actually grab it from her cuz he let the other guy go first...it was her partner that presented with her gave SIG the award instead...

oh, one thing I know..the way he walks up onstage is so model like...which is very nice to me! yeah...I'm going nut!

For one year this 'Byeongsool(Third Dog) Year', top stars, having emormous ecomonic rippling effect to the extent that they are called 'One Person Business', will come back to living room theaters one after another with bolck-buster dramas putting up three letters of their own names, so that it is expected that literally 'war of stars' will occur. Among male top stars, iincluding BYJ, Lee Byeongheon, Jang Dong-geun, Kwon Sangwoo, Eric, Cho Inseong, Lee Jeongjae, Kim Jaewon, Lee Seojin, Song Ilkook, etc., have decided to appear in dramas. The female top stars including Choi jiwoo, Kim Heeseon, SohnYejin, Koh Soyoung, Ha Jiwon, Kim Taehee, Han Gahee, Moon Sori, etc. will also resume drama actings unanimously. The appearances of the stars in dramas are the biggest delight as well as concerned matters for the Asian TV viewers as well as domestic ones of course. The living room theaters, which had sufferedfrom drought of stars for some time, cannot close their open months agonizing happily which drama they have to schedule due to rushing stars.

TV appearances of 'Korean Big Four', BYJ, Lee Byeongheon, Jang Dong-geon, & Kwon Sangwoo, whose guarantees for each episode, they say, cannot be calculated, became naturally realized as the Korean Current market is getting bigger in scale as the more time passes including its showing signs of spreading into European region including Turkey going beyond Asian region.
