Character descriptions

Lee Ho-Cheol  (Jin Goo) works as a firefighter. He is your typical head of household, who loves his wife and daughter. Recently, the media covers an unsolved serial killer case. The case has nothing to do with Lee Ho-Cheol, but he receives a text message that states "I will let you know who the serial killer is" and a photo. The photo is of a man holding a knife covered with blood and he is next to a murdered person.

 

Bae Tae-Jin (Ha Do Kwon) is a hired killer, who chases after serial killer Kwon Shi-Woo. Bae Tae-Jin schemes a plan to kill Kwon Shi-Woo by using Lee Ho-Cheol. He kidnapped Lee Ho Cheol`s daughter and make him chose after Kwon Shi Woon. 

 

Kwon Shi-Woo (Lee Won Geun) who lives next door to Lee Ho Cheol, looks like a kind young man with a handsome appearance, but he is a psychopath. He feels a sense of superiority by killing people.

Jin Goo, Ha Do-Kwon, and Lee Won-Geun are cast in OCN drama series “Superior Day” (literal title). The drama series is based on webcomic “Uwolhan Halu” by Team Getname. Jin Goo will play lead character Lee Ho-Cheol. His daughter is kidnapped and he receives a text message to kill someone that lives next door to him. Ha Do-Kwon will play Bae Tae-Jin. He is a hired killer and his target is a serial killer. Lee Won-Geun will play Kwon Shi-Woo. He is the person that lives next door and he is a serial killer.

“Superior Day” will first air sometime in the first half of 2022 in South Korea.

If you don’t, you will not see your daughter again.” Lee Ho-Cheol discovers that his daughter is now missing.

Meanwhile, the person who sent the text message is Bae Tae-Jin (Ha Do-Kwon). He is a hired killer, who chases after serial killer Kwon Shi-Woo. Bae Tae-Jin schemes a plan to kill Kwon Shi-Woo by using Lee Ho-Cheol.

On November 12th it was announced that the main characters of the upcoming OCN drama will be Jin Goo, Ha Do Gwon, and Lee Won Geun. 

 "Superior Day" will be the collaboration work between director Jo Nam Hyung and writer Lee Ji Hyun. The drama will be handled by Studio Dragon and produced by I Will Media. It will be a 24-hour thriller drama that will revolve around an ordinary man who has to kill the serial killer living next door in order to save his kidnapped daughter. 

"Superior Day" is set to premiere in the first half of 2022.

 

Jin Goo will play the role of Lee Ho Chul. He's a firefighter who has to save his kidnapped daughter. He is the typical head of the household who's also a fool for her daughter. His appearance is very ordinary and nothing special. Lee Ho Chul will be in an extreme situation wherein he will do anything just to save his daughter in just one day. This will be the comeback drama of Jin Goo after three years. He last starred in the JTBC drama "Legal High."

 "Superior Day" will be Ha Do Gwon's third new drama. He will be playing the role of Bae Tae Jin, a murder contractor who chases a serial killer. His plans are always perfect and he doesn't leave any traces. For some reason, he plans to chase the serial killer and also kidnap Lee Ho Chul's daughter to kill him. Ha Do Gwon will also join the upcoming dramas "Shooting Star" and "Red Single Heart."

Lastly, Lee Won Geun's follow-up drama after the hit series "One the Woman" will be "Superior Day." Unlike his righteous and innocent characters from before, the actor will portray a serial killer named Kwon Si Woo in "Superior Day." He believes that he is superior to anyone else in the world. Although his looks give off an innocent and kind vibe, his true identity is that he is a psychopath. He enjoys the superiority that comes from his murderous acts.

OCN has confirmed the cast of their upcoming drama, “A Superior Day” (literal translation).

Based on a webtoon of the same name, “A Superior Day” is a thriller about an ordinary man who must kill the serial killer living next door in order to save his kidnapped daughter.

On November 12, OCN announced that Jin Goo, Ha Do Kwon, and Lee Won Geun were confirmed to appear in the drama.

Jin Goo has been cast as Lee Ho Chul, a firefighter who has to rescue his kidnapped daughter. Ha Do Kwon has been cast as Bae Tae Jin, a professional hit man who is chasing a serial killer. Lee Won Geun has been cast as Kwon Si Woo, a serial killer who believes himself to be superior to everyone else in the world.

The drama is slated to premiere sometime in the first half of 2022.

The popular thriller webtoon 'Superior Day' by the webtoon writer team 'Team Getname', which consists of writer Aruani and writer Danbi Kim, will be produced as an OCN drama.

 

As a result of YTN star's coverage, the drama production of 'A Superior Day' has recently been confirmed, and casting for major roles is in progress. 'Superior Day' will be directed by Cho Nam-hyung, who co-directed tvN's 'Gumiho' last year and recently received favorable reviews for tvN's drama Stage 2021 'Agent'.

 

Producer Nam-hyung Cho recently directed 'Agent' and swept the Best Feature Film Division of the 'Stockholm Film & TV Festival', the Best Drama Division and the Best VFX Division of the 'Paris Film Festival' monthly film festival, and was recognized for his skills at European film festivals.

 

'Superior Day' with repeated twists and turns and dense composition depicts three main characters, a financial company representative, a designer, and a contract killer, spending a day together in one apartment. The role of a financial company representative in the original story will be adapted as a firefighter in the drama.

 

'Superior Day', which was produced by Studio Dragon, is currently being cast and is scheduled to air next year.

Im Hwa Young confirmed to join OCN's "Superior Day"

On November 23rd, Yooborn Company announced that their artist Im Hwa Young will be added to the cast of the upcoming thriller drama "Superior Day."

"Superior Day" is based on the popular web novel with the same name written by Team Getname. It will be a 24-hour type of drama that will showcase an ordinary man who's bound to kill the serial killer living next door in order to save his kidnapped daughter. 

The upcoming drama will be the next project of director Jo Nam Hyung who's known for working on "Tale of the Nine-Tailed." The script will be penned by writer Lee Ji Hyun. Studio Dragon and  I Will Media will work together to produce the drama. 

Im Hwa Young will play the role of Choi Jung Hye. She is the wife of Lee Ho Chul (played by Jin Goo) and the mother of the kidnapped daughter. She is also a former police officer. As she faces the extreme crisis with her daughter getting kidnapped, she will try her best to protect both her daughter and her husband. 

She will be joining other confirmed cast members such as Jin Goo, Ha Do Gwon, Kim Do Hyun, and Lee Won Geun,

"Superior Day" will officially air in the first half of next year.

 

"Superior Day" will be the first project of Im Hwa Young after two years. She last starred in the series "Birthcare Center" with Uhm Ji Won, Park Ha Sun, Choi Ri, Jang Hye Jin, Yoon Park, and more. She also appeared in the 2020 movies "Fiction & Other Realities," "Fanfare," and "Jazzy Misfits."

OCN has shared photos of the script reading from its upcoming drama “A Superior Day” (literal translation)!

“A Superior Day” is a thriller about the 24-hour nightmare of an ordinary man who has to save his kidnapped daughter by murdering the serial killer who lives next door. It is being directed by Jo Nam Hyung, who directed the 2021 tvN Drama Stage special “Substitute Human.”

At the script reading were director Jo Nam Hyung, writer Lee Ji Hyun, and cast members Jin Goo, Ha Do Kwon, Lee Won Geun, and more. Even though they were just reading lines, the cast’s outstanding acting skills brought the tension in the story to life in the reading room.

Jin Goo will play the role of Lee Ho Chul, a firefighter who has to rescue his lost daughter. Ha Do Kwon will play the role of Bae Tae Jin, a professional hitman. Lee Won Geun will play the role of Kwon Si Woo, the serial killer whom both Lee Ho Chul and Bae Tae Jin are chasing down.

OCN shared two new posters for the upcoming drama “A Superior Day”!

Starring Jin Goo, Ha Do Kwon, and Lee Won Geun, the upcoming thriller drama is about the 24-hour nightmare of an ordinary man who has to save his kidnapped daughter by murdering the serial killer who lives next door. Based on a webtoon of the same name, “A Superior Day” is helmed by Jo Nam Hyung who directed the 2021 tvN Drama Stage special “Substitute Human.”

Jin Goo stars as Lee Ho Chul, a firefighter who has to rescue his kidnapped daughter, Ha Do Kwon is cast as Bae Tae Jin, a professional hitman who is chasing the serial killer, and Lee Won Geun takes on the role of Kwon Si Woo, a serial killer who believes himself to be superior to everyone else in the world.

In the first poster, Lee Ho Chul’s face is tinted in black and white as he looks forward with a distressed expression. His face is full of fear, and a crack runs through the center of his face. In the background of the poster is an analog clock, hinting at how the main character is trapped in a 24-hour timeframe. The face of the original webtoon character is also drawn in red on the right side of the broken clock, capturing the likeness between the actor and the character.
