Kim Go Eun and Nam Ji Hyun may be uniting in a new drama!

On September 24, industry representatives reported that the actresses will be starring in the upcoming tvN drama “Little Women” (literal title).

In response to the reports, Kim Go Eun’s agency commented, “She has received a casting offer for ‘Little Women,’ and it is a project she is considering.” Nam Ji Hyun’s agency Management SOOP also responded, “She is positively reviewing [the offer].”

“Little Women” is reportedly about three sisters with Kim Go Eun playing the eldest and Nam Ji Hyun playing the second sister. The actress for the third sister is currently under discussion.

The drama will be directed by Kim Hee Won of “Money Flower,” “The Crowned Clown,” and “Vincenzo” and written by Jung Seo Kyung of “Mother.” Filming is reported to begin within this year.

Kim Go Eun (Yumi’s Cells) and Nam Ji Hyun (The Witch’s Diner) have accepted starring roles in the upcoming Korean drama Little Women. Little Women will follow the story of three sisters who grew up poor and then get involved in a big situation with the wealthiest family in the nation.

Actress Kim Go-eun will feature in one of the lead roles in the upcoming tvN drama series “Little Women," according to the cable channel Thursday.

Actress Kim, Nam Ji-hyun, Park Ji-hu and Wi Ha-jun will appear in the series. The narrative centers around three sisters who, despite going through financial hardships, have matured while supporting each other and have to face one of the most powerful families in the country.

@marrez1, You are right, the drama tells a modern Korean story that has nothing to do with the classic novel "Little Women".

For TV dramas, it always feels unbelievable because there’s only one person writing a whole drama. But I’m still working as a screenwriter and Little Women has maybe 12 episodes. It’s very long compared to making movies.

@nrllee, information about the plot of the upcoming drama is very contradictory so far. We will have to wait patiently to find out what the main conflict of the drama is and whether anything from the original has survived. SoThe theme of girls growing up and finding their place in society can be told in different ways. So far, this bears little resemblance to what is written in the book.
