Character descriptions

Hwang Dong Joo(Im Siwan ) is a new team manager of the Seoul Regional Office’s Investigation Bureau. He has handsome looks but a very spiteful tongue.

In Tae Joon (Son Hyun Joo) is a commissioner of the Seoul Regional Office. He got to this point through corrupt and illegal actions, but he always maintains his bold and confident attitude.

 

 Hardworking and action-oriented Seo Hye Young has the quote, “I told you so. Trust in me once,” on her poster.

 

Tae Joon (Son Hyun Joo), the commissioner of the Seoul Regional Office  dreams of becoming something bigger. The quote on his poster reads, “In the end, it’s a game of deceiving or being deceived,”

Im Siwan and Son Hyun Joo may be meeting in a new drama!

On March 26, an industry representative reported that they will be starring as leads of the upcoming drama “Tracer” (working title).

In response to the report, Im Siwan’s agency commented, “Im Siwan received an offer to star in the drama ‘Tracer’ and is reviewing [the offer].” Son Hyun Joo’s agency also responded that the actor is positively considering the offer.

Go Ah Sung and Im Siwan may be starring in a drama together!

On June 30, one industrial representative reported that Go Ah Sung has been cast for a leading role in “Tracer” (working title).

In response to the report, the actress’s agency KeyEast commented, “Go Ah Sung received a casting offer for ‘Tracer’ and is reviewing it.”

According to several broadcasting officials on the 17th July, Lee Kyu-hoe will appear in the original drama 'Tracer' (played by Kim Hyeon-jeong/directed by Lee Seung-young) of the online video service (OTT) Wave, which aims to be released at the end of this year.

Kyu-Hye Lee appears in 'Tracer' as the next work after the popular JTBC drama 'Monster', which ended in April, raising expectations. Even though it was his first drama debut when he appeared in 'Monster', he perfectly digested the role of Kang Jin-mook, a serial killer with a duality, with long acting skills, giving a big reversal and leaving a strong impression. “Tracer” is a new wavve original drama about revenge with the setting of the National Tax Service. Im Siwan will star as Hwang Dong Joo, a new team manager of the Seoul Regional Office’s Investigation Bureau, while Go Ah Sung will star as Seo Hye Young, a fellow team member at the Seoul Regional Office who is unafraid to face the cowardly world head-on.

New stills of Im Shi-wan (Run On) have been released for upcoming drama Tracer. In addition, it was recently reported that Go Ah-sung (Life on Mars) would be the latest addition to the cast, which already includes big names like Sohn Hyun-joo (Itaewon Class, The Good Detective) and Park Yong-woo (Priest). The drama is centered around the National Tax Service (Korea’s version of the IRS) — the most detested and feared of all public agencies.

Go Ah-sung plays Seo Hye-young, a team member in the fifth bureau of taxation, who is firm in her convictions and directly pursues her goals. Im Shi-wan plays the leader of her team; his character Hwang Dong-joo is brazen and doggedly determined to track down dirty money. He makes others around him self-conscious because he’s so good at what he does.

Sohn Hyun-joo plays the meticulous and ambitious Seoul Central District Tax Commissioner. His character, In Tae-joon, has lofty goals of soaring to new heights with his next promotion.
