Hi  When I happened to see the pictures of him in the article,  I assumed it’s about his drama but surprised to learn that he actually pursued judo during his school year.  Delighted to see uncle google worked well for the article.  haha   
Yeah I also tried to watch a few Cdramas(like wuxia) with auto-eng. Wow it was  such a painful experience. Luckily I figured out that, if a Cdrama is any good,  it would be picked up by Viki or streaming sites.  No more watching with auto-eng, except  maybe  some short video clips
About this thread don’t fret too much.  Soompi never shuts off a thread. You know soompi puts any old drama thread in archive.  But the actor thread doesn’t need to do that.  If it becomes non-active, it simply is pushed backward.  The CJH thread was opened 2007 and then went through many years of drought till in 2013 when CJH had a major break. 
 Now let’s remember that we come to soompi for having fun. It means we just follow around our whim/fancy right?? haha    I love pictures and luckily for me there is CJH-DC where some members are good with  photo-copy/screencap of him.  It’s fun to go through a lot of his pictures and select what I like and post in soompi.  I spent many days doing that especially when the thread was quiet.

i'm flabbergasted with the kind of resources you got e.g. this photo of GSW with Jeon Hye-bin I mean woah you're so good in searching for articles & stuff! Hmm he was into judo turned actor I guess! i wondered what kind of feelings they talked about eh?

 

Rightfully so we're here at soompi to have fun & rave about dramas, actors/actresses we like but I guess it's hard not to fret esp if an actor like GSW who's I reckon super private that yrs of his popularity wane (?) these days? If you recall, I myself just found out about him by accident since I was actually looking for another actor's project after watching him in an old drama & voila instead of being delighted that I found the drama for that actor I mentioned, I got more interested seeing a new face such as GSW and I'd say the rest is history!

It's quite a relief hearing from you that soompi won't shut off a thread and that if it's inactive they wld just push it backward! I like the way you put it when CJH went into drought hahaha I can imagine this thread will soon be experiencing drought as well if I won't continue coming to post about GSW & you'd been such a great support here even w/your hectic schedule with CJH that you even contribute a lot about GSW and I truly appreciate it! Lucky you if there is such thing as CJH-DC, i doubt v much if GSW wld hv something like that esp with a huge number of fans

You said there is such thing as auto-eng? that's great but i hvnt tried it...wld that be good only for Ch dramas? Reason i'm asking is bec when i watched GSW's drama You Don't Know Women w/o eng subs, it was a challenge & i found myself struggling to u/stand what's gg on in some intense scenes and you can u/stand how frustrating it was while watching something good right? Good news about GSW   He is going to play ‘Stanley’(among 3 MLs) in the play “A Streetcar Named Desire”(by Tennessee Williams)
It will be at the Grand Theater of Hongik University Daehangno Art Center from Oct 8 to Nov 21.
There are 2 FLs ((as Blanche; Park Hae-mi and Kim Ye-ryeong )) and 3 MLs ((as Stanly; Go Se-won, Lim Kang-seong, and Lim Joo-hwan ))

I assume each of them will rotate around for the part.  
Hopefully there will be some video clips when the play starts.  Hard to imagine him playing wild Stanley but then he might give us a big surprise.  haha

Actors Park Hae-mi and Kim Ye-ryeong as Blanche, while Go Se-won, Lim Kang-seong, and Lim Joo-hwan play Stanley.

 

Tae Hang-ho and Oh Hyun-cheol play the role of Mitch. Bae Jeong-hwa will play the role of Stella, and Im Ye-na will be played by Kim Hyuk-jong as Steve.

@boohathis photo with Yoon Sang-Hyun & GSW (5WHO)  reminds me of what you came across that article about them being  together at one time i believe singing group of sorts?  i stumbled upon the above picture with both of them & not sure about the others here!

 

So it comes as a pleasant surprise when Korean actor Go Se Won revealed that he was one of the members of 5WHO on the recent talks shows, JTBC’s Chuseok Special ‘Same Age Friend’ (동갑내기) broadcast on 8th September and on MBC’s Radio Star (황금어장 라디오스타) on 10th September. (2014)

I’m glad you found something new about GSW.  So once he tried to pursue a band group!!
Okay here a few more things I found about it.   You posted the article link(2014) about the band group.  It’s written by the fan of Yoon Sang Hyun (the group leader/lead vocalist)  The fan showed the group was formed in 2005 but was disbanded 2006 when YSH got his first drama ‘Marrying A Millionaire’  The fan learned about the band from  GSW’s interview in 2014

I think GSW was quite disappointed about what happened with the band.  He said that he did not prepare as early as an idol these days(2014).  He was 27 at the time.    So when he decided to move in with the group, he invested a big commitment.  But when the band broke up without producing a single song   he must have had a big letdown. The poor guy  
However he said “I challenged myself to become a musical actor with what I practiced."    

His career list shows he started playing in a musical theater from 2006 and many more years afterward.  We know GSW started  ‘Ugly Miss Young Ae’ from season1-11(2007 to 2011)

So sad to think he was disappointed with the bank! you saw his vid and heard his beautiful voice on YT when he was one of those Masked singers a few yrs ago, his voice was quite good!!well anyways i think switching his career to do dramas/movies paid of well bec he proved to his fans he is a versatile artist or actor for that matter! thanks also for that daum link which i'll check out after this coz i've been tardy enough to respond to you!

@boohaomo omo chingu i'm speechless! you're da best of da best! i don't know how to thank you enough truly! i am lagging in coming here these days & today i even forgot my pw so i had to look at my notes woah that's the truth! However, MANY MANY THANKS endlessly for your contributions on GSW thread! woah the photos look exciting enough for his stage play! So your fave charac is Stanley u know i've seen the actual Hollywood movie on small screen as one of my siblings had watched that evening if i recall the leading actress was once popular i can't remember her name now LOLs & not even some of the scenes as it was awhile back!
