Wow you opened the Go Se Won thread!!!   Wonderful  

You mentioned GSW’s appearance in The Last Emperor as a prime minister.  I thought he looked familiar.  I saw him in ‘Here Comes Love’ which I dropped.  huhu   Actually after seeing your thread I went out to binge googleing for your prince. haha
So GSW is the daily prince.  It means when he has a drama, we can see him five days a week for 6 months.  That’s good.    But I found out he seems to be very very private  according one article.    No drama No CSW??  It means a long drought for fans I guess...
Btw  about the pictures of his saguk appearance, I couldn’t find any info about what drama(assuming KBS) he was in. In ‘Mask King Singer’  they named all the dramas for each picture except that saguk ones.
The top photo shows a name 광해군 (Gwanghae-gun or Prince Gwanghae). Maybe these two just played minor parts in the drama?

Go Se-won was born on December 13, 1977. He started his acting career in Musical theater and made the leap to television in 2007. Go is known for playing supporting roles in several Korean dramas such as Three Brothers, Cinderella’s Sister, Three Sisters, You Don’t Know Women, and The Moon and Stars for You. @boohawoah my dear chingoo, howdy? Yes yes i opened a GSW thread 'coz I think someone like him who's such a good actor deserves to be recognized! Oh sorry you dropped Here Comes Love, actually that's the drama I first saw him only by sheer co-incidence bec I was looking for the other actor's project & honestly, I never (ever) heard of Go Se-Won until I saw that drama! Amazing right? Thereafter, I had to search for his other projects (you must be familiar with this kind of gesture when we see one actor/actress in a project hehehe we tend to seach for some more of what they've got, etc etc) and that's actually what happened! By now I must've marathon watched his dramas/movie and one of my faves that he was in titled You Don't Know Women which I watched & finished recently with 109 episodes, you heard it right hehehe where his role was just a perfect gentleman, a great husband at that and believe you me I watched it w/o subs, I know it was a challenge but I sort of figured out some of their conversations, mind you it wld've been better if there's Eng subs of course!

You just made my day thank UUUUUUUUU from the bottom of my heart! You're super amazing in sharing all the stuff about my new-find prince hehehe LOls! It's kinda hard really to find a lot about him as he seems very private but the ones you got here are all GEMS!

BTW that photo about his wife Shin Ra-Ra I think someone posted a wrong photo bec that's the actress he was paired with in the drama You Don't Know Women and her name is Kim Ji Hoo another great actress. I came across a photo with his wife & I'll post it here if I come across that again! I wish you could take a peek at You Don't Know Women bec that wld be my fave role of GSW, story goes like Kim Ji Hoo is a single mom after divorcing her husband, she found herself pregnant with a child, to make the story short, she met GSW who is very much single, fell with each other & he treated her son like his own, it was a nice family drama I guess I can say a lot better than Here Comes Love!  I also liked his other drama I'll Give You the Stars & the Moon, he seems to venture on long dramas hehehe so imagine how much time one had to spend finishing just one drama? hehehe

I haven't seen The Last Empress and I believe he played Prime Minister role! You're right not sure also about the pic of saguk appearance either! Did you happen to see his YT vid were he was one of the Mask King Singer? woah he's got a nice voice just like your prince CJH,  it's so impressive approx. 95% of K actors can really sing nicely eh?

Hi sorry for the late response.    Lately things have been blown over in my household.  Who knows maybe life thought we were too complacent or too content with our lives so it decided to sprinkle some salt on us?!!  Oh well  
So someone put down a wrong birth year, instead of 1977   About his wedding picture, I’m glad his wife doesn’t see the wrong photo. lol   Otherwise he could spend a whole evening saying with a big sweat on his handsome forehead ‘What!! Soompi?! … I  have no idea what it is …’  hehe
When I read that he was supposed to be very private, I thought after finishing a drama project he would disappear completely like CJH but, even though he’s well established as an actor,  it seems he does appear in variety shows in-between dramas, perhaps to make sure his name isn’t forgotten to his dear viewers.   
Actually I had a thought about watching (or trying to check out) his last drama(Fatal Promise) but unfortunately I have to shelve it up for the duration.   But I will try to post here when I can.
Let’s hope he will give us an interesting drama next time so that we can watch it together
GSW is a handsome man with a good voice.   I was surprised how good his singing voice was in 'Mask King Singer'.

Actors Go Se Won and Yoon Sang Hyun Trained to Be in a 4-Member Idol Group in the Past

On the September 8 broadcast of JTBC’s Chuseok special pilot variety program “Same Age Friend,” actor Go Se Won revealed that he used to be a trainee to be in an idol group with fellow actor Yoon Sang Hyun back in the day.

During the show, Go Se Won explained, “In the past, I prepared to become a singer in a four-member boy group. At the time, the team leader was actor Yoon Sang Hyun. Also, Choi Won Jun, who is currently promoting in M-tiful, was a part of the four members.”

The actor continued, “Yoon Sang Hyun left by himself to make it on his own. I don’t have dreams of being a singer now. With the practice I had, I set out to become a musical actor.”

Meanwhile, “Same Age Friend” is a talk show hosted by MCs Kim Gu Ra, Moon Hee Jun, Eun Ji Won, and Brian. The ‘same age friends’ born in 1977 including Chae Ri Na, Shim Hyung Tak, Go Se Won, Kim Kyung Ran, Park Hwi Soon, and Bae Soon Tak appeared as guests on the Chuseok special.

Go Se Won And Lee Soo Kyung To Cameo On “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim” To Tell Story Of Park Seo Joon’s Childhood

It looks like viewers will soon learn more about Park Seo Joon‘s childhood on tvN’s “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim.”

A source from the drama said, “Lee Soo Kyung and Go Se Won will make cameo appearances in the eighth episode, which will be broadcast on June 28.”

Lee Soo Kyung and Go Se Won will appear as the parents of Lee Young Joon (played by Park Seo Joon) during his childhood.

Despite their busy schedules, the two actors reportedly agreed to appear on “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim” because of their relationship with the director through their previous dramas. Go Se Won worked with the director on “Rude Miss Young Ae” and Lee Soo Kyung on “Let’s Eat Season 1.”

In the stills, Go Se Won and Lee Soo Kyung appear to be in shock, with serious facial expressions. The actress looks emotional as she looks down at her unconscious son lying in the hospital bed while Go Se Won looks as if he’s turned into stone. Lee Soo Kyung has a hard time controlling her emotions and covers her mouth with her hand.

Since the two actors will be portraying the younger years of Mrs. Choi (played by Kim Hye Ok) and President Lee (played by Kim Byung Ok), this may reveal more details about Lee Young Joon’s childhood.

In the last episode, Lee Young Joon, Kim Mi So (played by Park Min Young), and Lee Sung Yeon (played by Lee Tae Hwan)’s past connection was revealed. Kim Mi So was certain that the boy she met in the past was Lee Young Joon, but he revealed that it was actually his older brother Lee Sung Yeon. After speaking to both brothers, she started to become doubtful after their different memories of the past.

Will the younger versions of Lee Young Joon and Lee Sung Yeon’s parents reveal more hints about their past?

@boohachingoo mian mian manhi manhi FOR REPLYING so late, I'd been tied up & thanks a million, kam sa hab nida for visiting here at GSW thread let alone contributing such good articles like that one with YSH who btw I had a liking when i saw him in My Wife Was a Superwoman, i went crazy for a little while when he played as Han tae joon yes I did & followed him thereafter in some of his dramas like My Fair Lady! Mind you, I never heard of GSW till lately as I must've mentioned to you here earlier until I accidentally was looking for an old kdrama where this actor played so well in 30K miles Looking for Her Son! To make it short he was in that drama & 2 of them as leads!

Oh IKR 1977 in another website & this one I got here was 1979, well whichever year it shld be, he doesn't look his age at all, and they say age is just a mere 'number' hahaha

Re his photo with another actress Kim ji hoo (photo here below)who was his wife in the kdrama You Don't Know Women; when I first saw that photo (before starting his thread here) in one of the websites, I didn't believe it myself and checked wikipedia about GSW and voila his wife's name didn't even match what's on the photo so I wondered if GSW himself came across that article LOLs! You're right he must've been sweating like you said!

I really think he's a very private person & sometimes we can't blame them for being that way !!

Yes he's got a great singing voice much like our CJH, did I tell you I got CJH's songs d/l sometime ago while we're chatting about his kdramas & when I got to start liking him? I play it fr time to time & gosh that deep voice eh? I must confess I haven't really seen CJH's latest projects as you can figure out, I got so busy watching GSW & counting! I felt so greedy watching one after another and his dramas I must say are quite lengthy, YDKW was about 109 epi, plus his other dramas! I'd like to think he could pass as the Drama King for his long kdramasBelieve you me, I finished it in a month since I only hv time whenever I could hehehe Then there's more that I haven't even finished! If you have time I think you'll like him in I Don't Know Women, the only prob is it's not subbed, but somehow you can follow, I know you're good in hangeul if I'm not mistaken, otherwise try I'll Give You the Stars and the Moon, I did like the story of that drama!

About GSW’s birth year, Viki has the right year(1977) in the first section but in the next section below, for some unknown reasons someone put down the wrong year(1979) & age.  Maybe this person had an exhausting day and messed up the date or something like that

I watched the show last night and came off with a few things about GSW as a person;
1 He shows a calm and mature personality
2 Wiki says he started as a musical theater actor. He speaks well. It remined me of a stage actor who has to learn how to deliver lines correctly on the stage.  
3 He seems to know about food so I wondered whether he’s the one who actually cooked in his home.  But later it’s revealed that, during a car camping scene, he confessed he didn’t cook himself much at home. He said he only helped out a bit here and there.   Now I realized that he didn’t brag about his wife’s cooking skill either.  Perhaps his wife is non-cooker or he didn’t reveal too much about his private life??

GSW(35), who is playing the role of Han Min-hyuk in the KBS1 daily drama <I'll Give You the Stars and the Moon> (Written by Hong Young-hee, directed by Jeon Seong-hong), took second place in the actual judo competition. GSW's agency School Bus Entertainment announced on 6/26, "GSW competed in the Seoul Mayor's Judo Competition held at the Jamsil Student Gymnasium at 11 am on 6/22, not as a publicity ambassador, but ranked second in the men's 73kg division."

GSW was appointed as a public relations ambassador for the Seoul Judo Association in March.  At that time, he received a judo uniform and a belt as well, and after three months of training, he participated in an actual competition and rose to the top, surprising not only the entertainment industry but also the sports officials.

It is known that GSW has been a judo athlete since middle school. GSW, who had been cultivating his dream of becoming an athlete, did not improve his skills, so he went to a high school and developed his dream of becoming an actor, leading to the life of an actor.

GSW also won the second place by winning one game in a row, earning him a new nickname, 'The Man of One Battle'. After winning the prize, GSW said, "It means a lot to participate in the competition regardless of ranking."

@boohachingu i'm lost for words and i can't thank you enough really for your tireless contribution on GSW thread! i appreciate your kindness, efforts, & everything in finding a lot of GSW's and this one you posted about his Judo win and his enthusiasts I never would've found in spite of my intent search of any articles, etc about him! Kudos to you chingu!!!!

I agree w/you since he doesn't really got lots of news about him and not sure whether some of his fans from earlier his career just slowed down & didn't follow much about him anymore? Aside from that, he seems very private and that's probab one of the reasons he's shying away from public view? Do you suppose his variety show on foodie is still on? hahaha yes i'm a foodie myself!

I wonder where we can watch his variety show even w/out subs? I think you've sent me all what you had about his food variety show the other day right? Am I right in assuming those were the end of it?

Well i can also appreciate google t/lation LOLs it's great coz i've used it a number of times while watching him in his drama You Don't Know Women & i kinda got an idea of what's going on but since there's no sub, i just tried to pick up some of what's going on. It's kinda frustrating though esp when there's an interesting scene that viewers like me would wanna relate to what's gg on

I don't wanna sound pessimistic here but i'm not sure if his thread will grow even as far as it can go hahaha For one thing he doesn't have lots of fans compared to our other guy CJH hahaha so much as I didn't wanna think about it, but i'm sure soompi is gg to discard this thread if it's deemed inactive! As we both know once soompi finds it's not very active, they can easily drop this! Well, if that happens, I can completely u/stand and I can say, at least I tried and will just follow him the best I can hahaha!!!
