Han Hye-ryul (Kim Sun Ah) is the head of the special division of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office. She is from a family of aristocrats who have inherited wealth and power for three generations by qualifying as a lawyer. Kim Sun Ah may be appearing in a new drama!

On July 8, SPOTV News reported that Kim Sun Ah will be playing a chief prosecutor in JTBC’s new drama “Fortress of Heaven” (literal translation).

The actress’s agency Ikkeul Entertainment clarified that she’s currently reviewing the offer to appear in the drama.

“Fortress of Heaven” depicts the vulgar scandals of Korea’s nobles of the robe (whose rank came from holding judicial or administrative posts) who dream of hereditary succession. It will be produced by producing director (PD) Yoo Hyun Ki who previously directed dramas like “Brain” and “Seo Young, My Daughter.”

Kim Sun Ah is said to have been offered the role of Han Hye Ryul, the chief of the special division of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office. Han Hye Ryul is from a family of judicial workers who has had wealth and power for three generations. She is an ambitious figure who is not satisfied with her current position and aims to become a prosecutor general or someone higher up the ladder.

Should Kim Sun Ah accept this offer, the upcoming drama will mark her first acting role in two years: she last starred in the SBS drama “Secret Boutique” back in 2019.

“Fortress of Heaven” is scheduled to start filming in September, and the specific timing of broadcasting is undecided.

It is a matter of time until we`ll have the confirmation. After so many years reading these casting news i know when it will be a sure confirmation.

 

I am glad that she had a new offer. When I read that the last drama (Queen Maker)was relaunched with other actresses I thought that Kim Sun Ah must have another offer.

 

I am intrigued about her character. She is very ambitious and I am sure she will compete with male characters to general prosecutor position.

In early July, it was reported that Kim Sun Ah was in talks to play a chief prosecutor in the new drama, which will depict the vulgar scandals of Korea’s nobles of the robe (whose rank comes from holding judicial or administrative posts) who dream of hereditary succession.

 

Newly confirmed for the drama are Ahn Jae Wook, Geum Sae Rok, and Lee Ga Eun, while Lee Mi Sook is still in talks.

Following reports of her appearance, Lee Mi Sook’s representative stated, “‘Fortress of Heaven’ is one of the projects she has been offered. She’s currently in the stage of reviewing the offer.” If Lee Mi Sook accepts the role, it will be the actress’s first drama in three years.

 I've  watchall the dramas director ( but I think I drop Unkind Women  midway for some reason). I'm gonna wait for this and for other news. JTBC needs to update us and give more drama news.  Wonder when this will be.

I am glad that it is a female centric drama. But I like all  main cast.

I watched just drama Brain but I am more interested to know who is the writer.

I want to know more informations also but, at least, they gave us news about the cast constantly since the drama was announced. That`s better than other dramas.  From the rumors it seems that The Empire of Law will air in June, 13. We have a date, even if it is not official.
