On June 23, Choi Siwon shared a photo on his Instagram account that showed him posing with his “Work Later, Drink Now” co-stars Lee Sun Bin and Hwan Sun Hwa and the drama’s director. Based on a webtoon, “Work Later, Drink Now” was a drama about three friends whose life philosophies revolved around having drinks together after work. Lee Sun Bin played Ahn So Hee, a variety show writer, Han Sun Hwa played Han Ji Yeon, a yoga instructor, Jung Eun Ji played Kang Ji Goo, an origami YouTuber, and Choi Siwon played Kang Book Goo, a variety show PD.

“Work Later, Drink Now” Cast Begins Filming For Season 2

 

TVING’s “Work Later, Drink Now” is officially gearing up for its second season!

 

Based on a webtoon, “Work Later, Drink Now” is a drama about three friends whose life philosophies revolve around having drinks together after work. Lee Sun Bin plays television scriptwriter Ahn So Hee, Han Sun Hwa plays yoga instructor Han Ji Yeon, and Apink’s Jung Eun Ji plays origami YouTuber Kang Ji Goo. Super Junior’s Choi Siwon co-stars as Kang Book Goo, a variety show producing director. The popular series was also invited to the 2022 Cannes International Series Festival earlier this year.

 

Previously, TVING confirmed that “Work Later, Drink Now” will be getting a second season with the four main characters reprising their role. Scriptwriter Wi So Young will once again be returning to tell touching stories in Season 2, while director Park Soo Won of “Birthcare Center” will be joining the production team.

 

On July 7, “Work Later, Drink Now 2” shared photos of the actors reuniting ahead of their shoot. Similar to their characters, Lee Sun Bin poses adorably, Han Sun Hwa smiles brightly while gesturing at her friends, Jung Eun Ji puts on a subtle smile, and Choi Siwon wears an easygoing and playful expression.

 

 

The production team shared, “We are very happy to be able to work with the actors who have unchanging energy even after time has passed. Since we finally started our first filming, we will do our best to carry this current [level of] passion until the end, so please look forward to it a lot.”

“Work Later, Drink Now” will premiere in the second half of 2022.

"Work Later, Drink Now Season 2" is confirmed to begin filming.

On July 7th TVING released photos of the main cast of the upcoming second season of "Work Later, Drink Now." It was also revealed that the production will start filming for the series. 

The main casts of the series consisting of APINK's Jung Eun Ji, Secret's Han Sun Hwa, Lee Sun Bin, and Super Junior's Choi Si Won took a photo of their reunion ahead of their filming. In the photo, Lee Sun Bin and Choi Si Won who are connected in the drama sat together and had the same pose while Jung Eun Ji and Han Sun Hwa shared their bright smile. 

"Work Later, Drink Now Season 2" will continue narrating the life and friendship of three best friends of the same age who enjoys drinking. The series based its story on the webtoon "Sooldo Girl" (술꾼도시처녀들) by Mi Kkang.

Just like the first season, director Kim Jung Shik and writer Wi So Young will be working together to create another masterpiece.

Lee Sun Bin will return as Ahn So Hee, a broadcast writer for a TV station. Han Sun Hwa will continue to play the role of Han Ji Yeon, the bubbly yoga instructor. Jung Eun Ji will portray the role of Ji Gu, the stony origami Youtuber. Lastly, Choi Si Won will be back as Kang Buk Gu, the director of a variety show and also the colleague of Ahn So Hee.
The first season of the drama became one of the best releases of TVING since its launch. The series also received an invite to the non-competitive category of the 2022 Cannes International Series Festival.

"Work Later, Drink Now Season 2" is set to premiere in the second half of the year. It will exclusively air on the OTT platform TVING. The first season became available to an international audience through the OTT platform OndemandKorea. Nothing has been revealed yet on where the second season will be internationally available.

 

 

The production team of "Work Later, Drink Now Season 2" commented on the start of the new season, "We are delighted to be working again with the main actors who have unchanging chemistry even after time has passed. As we begin filming, we will do our best to maintain the passion until the end so please look forward to our drama."

Because of the popularity of "Work Later, Drink Now," the main casts of the series received several offers from commercials, dramas, and more. They even led their own reality show titled "Work Later, Hike Now" where the three female friends experienced mountain climbing.

Today (18th), Yoon Shi-yoon's agency told YTN Star, "I am currently filming after appearing in season 2 of 'Women in Drunken City'."

 

Previously, in the first season of Tving's original 'Drunk Woman', Yoon Shi-yoon appeared in the role of 'Friend Paper', whom he met on Christmas 2021 with origami YouTuber Kang Ji-gu (Jung Eun-ji). Season 2 also draws a love line with Jung Eun-ji.

Yoon Shi Yoon will now be part of the official cast of "Work Later, Drink Now Season 2."

On August 18th, the media outlet Star News shared that Yoon Shi Yoon is already filming for the second season of "Work Later, Drink Now." He will continue to work alongside APINK's Jung Eun Ji in the series. 

In the first season of "Work Later, Drink Now," Yoon Shi Yoon made a special appearance in the last episode. His character is connected to Jung Eun Ji. For the new season, Yoon Shi Yoon will be part of the official cast.  

"Work Later, Drink Now Season 2" will continue to showcase the life, love, and friendship of three best friends of the same age who hangs out after work and drink together. The story will be depicted from the webtoon "Sooldo Girl" by Mi Kkang.

The series will be led by Lee Sun Bin, SECRET's Han Sun Hwa, APINK's Jung Eun Ji, and Super Junior's Choi Si Won.

Yoon Shi Yoon will continue to play the role of "Mr. Nice Paper." He is connected to Jung Eun Ji's character Kang Ji Gu who is an origami Youtuber.

"Work Later, Drink Now Season 2" will reportedly premiere this year. 

 

Yoon Shi Yoon is currently starring in the drama "It's Beautiful Now" together with Oh Min Suk, Shin Dong Mi, Bae Da Bin, Seo Bum June, Choi Ye Bin, Park In Hwan, and more. "Work Later, Drink Now Season 2" will be his next drama project after this. 

Aside from dramas, Yoon Shi Yoon will also star in two upcoming movies such as "Birth" and "Love ; Chemistry."

On September 2, Lee Sun Bin revealed on Instagram that Park Bo Young had sent a coffee truck to the set of her upcoming drama “Work Later, Drink Now 2.” Park Bo Young wrote on one banner “I’m intensely rooting for you, ‘Work Later, Drink Now 2.’ Lee Sun Bin is the best! The best!” The banner next to it reads, “Let me be your honorary Haekong (the nickname Lee Sun Bin gave her fans).”

The wait is nearly over: the second season of “Work Later, Drink Now” is coming soon!

 

Last year, the hit TVING series starring Lee Sun Bin, Han Sun Hwa, Apink’s Jung Eun Ji, and Super Junior’s Choi Siwon confirmed that it would be returning for a second season with all of its main cast members. The show began filming the new season this summer, with Yoon Shi Yoon notably joining the cast as Jung Eun Ji’s on-screen love interest after his memorable cameo in Season 1.

 

On September 30, “Work Later, Drink Now” unveiled its first posters for its upcoming second season—which playfully announce that the series will be returning before the end of 2022.

 

The new posters features the drama’s trio of leading ladies coolly sauntering across the street in sunglasses, flipping their hair back as they strut their stuff. One poster declares simply, “COMEBACK,” while the other expresses gratitude to the show’s viewers by reading, “Thank you for waiting. Let’s go for a second round in the year 2022!”

The cast of “Work Later, Drink Now” has excitedly teased the upcoming season in a new making clip!

Last year, the hit TVING series starring Lee Sun Bin, Han Sun Hwa, Apink’s Jung Eun Ji, and Super Junior’s Choi Siwon confirmed that it would be returning for a second season with all of its main cast members. The show began filming the new season this summer, with Yoon Shi Yoon notably joining the cast as Jung Eun Ji’s on-screen love interest after his memorable cameo in Season 1.

Based on a popular webtoon, “Work Later, Drink Now” tells the story of three women whose life philosophies revolve around having a drink after getting off of work. Lee Sun Bin stars as television writer Ahn So Hee, Han Sun Hwa plays yoga instructor Han Ji Yeon, and Jung Eun Ji plays origami YouTuber Kang Ji Goo.

The new making video takes fans to their chaotic first script reading for Season 2! After excitedly introducing herself, Lee Sun Bin describes the Season 1 version of her character Ahn So Hee with three keywords. She lists, “the center of ‘Work Later, Drink Now,’ main rapper, and a passionate and crazy writer.” Han Sun Hwa continues, “As many people looked upon [my character Ji Yeon] prettily, ‘a pretty crazy person.'” She also teases her character’s signature “you~” line then adds, “high tension!”

Jung Eun Ji shares, “In Season 1, many people remembered [Ji Goo] as ‘earthquake,'” She adds, “Swearing battle and charisma.” Choi Siwon says of his character Kang Book Goo, “Tsundere, alcohol trash [meaning someone who doesn’t take their alcohol well], and unexpected charm.” The three leading ladies watch his interview from the side and Choi Siwon jokes, “They let me know all this…just as I was told. I have no opinions. I just do as I’m told. All answers have already been decided.”

Choi Siwon continues, “We just read our scripts up to Episode 4 and since our chemistry is so great, I’m sure the scenes where we’re altogether will all be fun. Also, the new characters are incredibly charming. As it is a combination of Season 1 plus new charms, I believe that everyone will really like Season 2 as well.”

Lee Sun Bin comments, “In Season 1, I think So Hee’s story was spoken about a lot so personally, I’m looking forward to the narratives of Ji Yeon, Ji Goo, and the other characters.” Jung Eun Ji chimes in, “There were tons of people who were curious about Ji Yeon’s story so I’m also looking forward to seeing how Ji Yeon’s story will unravel in Season 2.”

Han Sun Hwa adds, “I too was so curious about Ji Yeon’s future and I’m really looking forward to the stories she will lead with her friends.”
