Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Han Yi-Han (So Ji-Sub) was an elite elite surgeon. MBC has unveiled a dynamic group poster for their upcoming drama “Doctor Lawyer”!

“Doctor Lawyer” is a new drama about a genius surgeon who becomes a medical malpractice lawyer after losing everything due to a rigged surgery and a prosecutor who loses her only family and lover through that same surgery. Together, they set out to punish those who believe that the importance of a person’s life can be ranked based on their wealth and power.

So Ji Sub will be starring as the titular medical malpractice lawyer Han Yi Han who changed careers after a devastating incident in the operating room. Im Soo Hyang will be portraying Geum Seok Young, a prosecutor who believes that criminals are rehabilitated not through leniency but through punishment. At the same time, she is more eager to declare truly innocent defendants as innocent than even their own lawyers. Shin Sung Rok will be taking on the role of the mysterious Jayden Lee, the head of the Asian branch of Honors Hand, a company specializing in lobby and investment.

On May 20, MBC released a new poster featuring the cast members of “Doctor Lawyer.” As the cast surrounds So Ji Sub, Im Soo Hyang, and Shin Sung Rok, each actor’s character immersion and energy are clearly portrayed.

So Ji Sub stands firmly in the middle, showcasing his powerful charisma as a doctor in his white coat. Beside him, Shin Sung Rok gives a small smile, sparking curiosity among viewers about his character. On the other side of So Ji Sub is the serious Im Soo Hyang in her legal robes as she gives viewers a bold stare.

"Doctor Lawyer" starring So Ji Sub and Im Soo Hyang premier date set!

The upcoming MBC drama "Doctor Lawyer" will officially air on June 3rd.

On May 20th, MBC released the official group poster of the soon-to-air series "Doctor Lawyer." It showcased the 18 lead characters of the drama including So Ji Sub, Im Soo Hyang, and Shin Sung Rok. The poster of the series also included the official premier date of June 3rd at 9:50 PM KST. 

"Doctor Lawyer" will revolve around a genius and elite surgeon named Han Yi Han. After his medical license is revoked after a rigged operation, he decides to become a lawyer. He uncovers the truth and helps victims of medical malpractices and negligence. 

The upcoming series will be the latest work of director Lee Yong Seok ("Iljimae") and writer Jang Hong Chul ("Class Of Lies").

"Doctor Lawyer" will premiere both on MBC and the global OTT platform, Disney+.

 

 

The three main characters will be led by So Ji Sub, Im Soo Hyang, and Shin Sung Rok. So Ji Sub will portray the character named Han Yi Han, the genius doctor-turned-lawyer. Im Soo Hyang will play the role of Geum Seok Young, the prosecutor in charge of medical crimes. Shin Sung Rok will play the role of Jayden Lee,  a branch manager of a company. 

Other cast includes Lee Joo Bin as Im Yoo Na, Lee Dong Ha as Goo Hyun Sung, Lee Kyung Young as Goo Jin Ki, Lee Seung Woo as Choi Yo Seop, Han Seung Bin as Keum Seok Joo, Choi Jae Woong as Baek Kang Ho, Choi Deok Moon as Lee Do Hyung, and more. 

The production team of the drama shared their thoughts on the upcoming premiere. They stated, "A lot of our actors and staff are doing their very best for 'Doctor Lawyer.' To all the viewers, please look forward and show love and  interest in our drama."

As the drama gears up for its premiere on June 3, MBC has released a dramatic new poster spotlighting lead So Ji Sub. The bottom half of the poster shows Dr. Han Yi Han displaying composure and an air of cold professionalism as he rushes to save someone’s life, while the top half captures his determination and thoughtful empathy through the concerned look in his eyes.
