Kim Nam-gil X Jin Seon-kyu, expecting a powerful meeting of the two acting gods

p1065575013662632_391_thum.jpg

‘Those who read the minds of evil’ Kim Nam-gil and Jin Seon-gyu, two acting gods met.

SBS's new Friday-Saturday drama 'Those who read the minds of evil' will premiere on January 14, 2022. ‘Readers of the Mind of Evil’ is a psychological crime investigation drama about the story of the first profiler in Korea who had to fiercely look into the minds of serial killers at the peak of evil at a time when unmotivated murders were on the rise.

Those Who Read the Mind of Evil’ is the first drama and first genre drama in 2022 that SBS, a genre masterpiece, will show ambitiously. To this end, Kim Nam-gil (Song Ha-young), an actor who captures acting skills, ratings, and topicality, and Jin Seon-gyu (Kook Young-soo), an actor who chews the stage and the screen, came out. The meeting of Kim Nam-gil and Jin Seon-gyu, the two acting gods, is raising expectations for ‘those who read the minds of evil’.

While the first teaser poster for 'Readers of Evil Minds', which was released on the 9th, received favorable reviews for Kim Nam-gil's overwhelming presence, the second teaser poster with Kim Nam-gil and Jin Seon-gyu was released on the 13th.

The second teaser poster for ‘Readers of Evil’s Mind’ shows two men walking down the street with umbrellas on a dark, rainy night. The identities of the two men are Kim Nam-gil and Jin Seon-gyu, who unite as a criminal behavior analysis team at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency in the play. Whether it was the darkness or the rain, the faces of the two men could not be seen in detail. Like the evil heart that the two of them had to look into. Nevertheless, Kim Nam-gil and Jin Seon-kyu perfectly expressed the atmosphere of the pole and the characters. The breathtaking screen dominance of the two actors causes admiration.

Here, the copy that can be read as “Why did you think you were the criminal?” or “Why did you think you were not the criminal” is more meaningful in line with the heavy atmosphere of the teaser poster. Kim Nam-gil and Jin Seon-gyu met two acting gods. It also met through the drama 'Those who read the minds of evil', a crime psychological investigation drama genre where the actor's acting skills are particularly important.

The drama’s production team stated, “Kim So Jin’s character Yoon Tae Goo looks combative, but she is sharper than anyone else, and depending on the situation, she shines with strong charisma. Jin Seon-gyu takes on the role of Kook Young-soo, the head of the criminal behavior analysis team at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency. Kook Young-soo is a person who realizes the need for criminal psychological analysis and creates a criminal behavior analysis team after a long strategy. Kook Young-soo, who has an easygoing personality, shows keen insight when facing crime. Because of his foresight, he created a criminal behavior analysis team, so it can be said that he is a very important person at the beginning of 'Those who read the mind of evil'.

In the midst of this, on December 14th, the production team of 'Those who read the minds of evil' released filming stills of Jin Seon-gyu, who showed beautiful acting skills and beautiful presence. Watch: Kim Nam Gil Probes The Dark Mind Of A Killer In Teaser For Drama About 1st Criminal Profiler In Korea

dummy.jpeg?s=900x600&e=t

Dec 17, 2021
by C. Hong

SBS’s upcoming Friday-Saturday drama “Those Who Read Hearts of Evil” (literal translation) has released its first teaser!

“Those Who Read Hearts of Evil” is a drama about the first criminal profiler in Korea who looked into the hearts of serial killers at a time when random, motiveless murders were on the rise.

The new teaser begins with the words, “I remember feeling like I had entered a dark room through a door that I could only pass through once.” These are the direct words of Professor Kwon Il Yong, the first criminal profiler in South Korea, on whom the drama is based.

As the teaser shows, the drama is set in the late 1990s, when there were several random and motiveless murder cases. A woman walks in the rain, followed by sinister footsteps. After the sound of a scream, a news anchor reports on the case. In the middle of these dark times, Kim Nam Gil (playing the role of Song Ha Young) emerges. Even when face-to-face with a criminal, he doesn’t blink. Jin Sun Kyu (playing Guk Young Soo) says to him, “Have you heard of a profiler? They analyze criminal behavior, but with an open mind, intuition, common sense, and analytical skills. Ha Young, I’m sure that that’s a perfect fit for you.”

Accompanied by the words, “A dangerous conversation with serial killers,” Kim Nam Gil and Jin Sun Kyu begin to chase down the serial killers and read their hearts. A serial killer who kills without motive never stops at one, with terrifying lines like, “Those who have tasted it once can’t stop,” “You haven’t died yet?”, and “Oh, there’s another one.”

The words “Walk into the minds of evil. The birth of the nation’s first profiler” pop up on screen as Kim Nam Gil vows, “This won’t end here. I will definitely catch that person.”

My favorite as well. I have expectation about this drama. I would like to see a drama about the profilers not about serial killers. Of course, the profilers want to catch serial killers but I want those criminals to be in the background of this drama, not the main characters. I want to see the profilers `s life, how they work, how they think, how they relate within the department to the other police officers. Because the protagonist was inspired from a real life person, the first criminal profiler in Korea, I sense it will be a drama just how I want.

I saw last year the series Mindhunters on Netflix. In that series, it was about the beginning of profiling job in US, how they developed a psychological profile of a suspect based on the evidence available. I think it will be something similar.
