JTBC's new Wednesday-Thursday drama 'Thirty, Nine' (played by Yoo Young-ah, directed by Kim Sang-ho, produced by JTBC Studios, Lotte Cultureworks) is a real human romance drama that deals with the deep story of friendship, love, and life of three friends who are about to turn 40. Son Ye-jin (Cha Mi-jo), Jeon Mi-do (Jung Chan-young), and Kim Ji-hyeon (Jang Joo-hee), who are thirty-nine years old, unite as friends of the same age and spend the most precious days in the world. 

'Thirty, Nine', which is getting a hot topic just with the casting news of the three actors, is raising expectations even more through the first poster that was released earlier. The atmosphere of the poster, where you can clearly feel that they are close friends, made people curious about their acting synergy as well as their chemistry.

 

 

The photos released in this situation show the three actors completely transformed into Cha Mi-jo (Son Ye-jin), Jung Chan-young (Jeon Mi-do) and Jang Joo-hee (Kim Ji-hyun).

JTBC’s new midweek drama Thirty, Nine preps to explore real human romance drama. Correspondingly, it aims to delve into a deep story of friendship, love, and life among three friends who are about to turn forty.

Son Ye Jin (as Cha Mi-jo), Jeon Mi Do (Jung Chan-young), and Kim Ji Hyun (Jang Joo-hee) are friends of the same age who have seized the most precious days of their lives. Ready to prove that “life begins at 40”, they are set to present encouraging perspectives in Thirty, Nine.

Rounding up the main cast are the male leads Yeon Woo Jin, Lee Tae Hwan and Lee Moo Saeng.

 

Previously, JTBC unveiled the teaser poster of the series along with its set broadcast month in February 2022.

JTBC’s upcoming Wednesday-Thursday drama “39” (literal title) shared new stills of Son Ye Jin, Jeon Mi Do, and Kim Ji Hyun!

“39” is about three friends who met in their second year of high school and are now on the verge of turning 40. The drama will tell the beautiful and emotional everyday stories of three 39-year-old woman who encounter unforeseen circumstances.

Since the release of the group poster, viewers have been highly anticipating the chemistry between the three actresses as they transform into best friends. Son Ye Jin plays Cha Mi Jo, the head dermatologist of a clinic in Gangnam, Jeon Mi Do takes on the role of Jung Chan Young, who dreamed of becoming an actress but ended up becoming an acting teacher instead, and Kim Ji Hyun stars as Jang Joo Hee, a department store cosmetics manager.

The new stills capture the unique individual charms of the three different characters. New promos have been released for JTBC’s upcoming drama Thirty, Nine, featuring a new poster and character stills.

With a focus on friendship and love, the slice-of-life style story follows three women who have been close friends since the age of eighteen. Having learned to navigate adulthood together, they saw each other at their best and worst moments, and supported each other through thick and thin. Now, at the age of 39, they are faced with new challenges in their lives and they prepare to say goodbye.

In the lead roles, Sohn Ye-jin (Crash Landing on You) takes on the character of Cha Mi-jo, who runs a skin clinic in Seoul’s Gangnam district.

Jeon Mi-do (Hospital Playlist 2) plays the part of the second friend, an acting teacher named Jung Chan-young.

Rounding out the trio is Kim Ji-hyun (Artificial City) as Jang Joo-hee, who works as a department store manager in cosmetics.

The supporting cast includes Yeon Woo-jin (Undercover), Lee Moo-saeng (The Silent Sea), and Lee Tae-hwan (Secret Royal Investigator), among others.

JTBC’s Thirty, Nine will be directed by PD Kim Sang-ho (Run On) with scripts penned by Yoo Young-ah (Boyfriend). Airing Wednesdays and Thursdays, the drama is currently set to premiere in February following Artificial City.
