Hi everyone!  Have you all caught up with "The Blue Whisper" ?

 

Ep 10 

Spoiler

- is rather Flat.  Yun He and Chang Yi are detained.  So it is all about Yun He receiving more punishments, and some "Sweet Potatoes" time for YH and CY. Later Lin Hao Qing conspired with Yun He to kill Lin Cang Lan. 

 

Eps 11:

- is equally Flat. Yun He and Lin Hao Qing finally carried out their Plan. First they lured and trapped Lin Cang Lan's faithful assistant, Qing Shu.

 

Then LHQ went for his father. His father & Qing Shu knew about his plan all along. Lin Cang Lan is waiting for LHQ to kill him. He wants him to be Cruel and Ruthless. But LHQ falters. After all he is his Father.

 

Before he died, Lin Cang Lan revealed a Big Secret to Lin Hao Qing. About the Real Reason why he has to be Cruel on him and Yun He. Lin Cang Lan is also suffering from the Frost Poison. LCL told LYH to keep Yun He in the Valley.  With the antidote, she will be  very useful.   LCL had saved Qing Shu's life before and Qing Shu knew his sad secret all along. Which is why she sympathised and supported  him. QS told LHQ to go to the Secret Room for more details on the Truth. She commited suicide to join LCL in his death.

 

In Ep 11, they also throw in some scenes on Aoji, the Blue Feather Phoenix and San Yue.  Lishu is still hanging around Aoji. But he is now rendered invincible. Aoji will help him overcome this setback.

 

 

Ep 12:

Lin Hao Qing was sad with his father's death and refused to see anyone. Yun He managed to console him.  Next came the inauguration of Lin Hao Qing as the New Master of the Valley. Yun He thought she can leave now. But she was stopped by LHQ instead. LHQ brought YH into the Secret Room and shared the Truth about his father to her.

 

We all thought that Lin Cang Lan is a Monster.  But actually he is not.  Like everybody else, he is a Victim. A very Tragic Man.  

 

The Truth:

The one who is using the Poison of the Frost to control everybody, is not Lin Cang Lan but someone higher up - Xian Shi (Da Guo Shi or Immortal Master). Lin Cang Lan hopes that after his death, there will be someone who can lead the Lin Clan to get rid of this control.

 

As for the antidote, LCL thought of a method.  He combined the power of a Spiritual Master with that of a Monster (Qing Shu). The combined power can dissolve the Frost Poison. Over the years, LCL and Qing Shu have sent their spritual power into Ji Yun He's body little by little through the pills. They have also experimented with others but failed. Those who were condemned to the "Cold Place" in the Valley were those who failed in the experiments.

 

The arrogant Xian Ji (the Shunde Immortal Fairy) arrived and wanted Chang Yi to be her Slave. Yun He opposed and was punished.  To save Yun He, CY agreed to Xian Ji's demand.

 

 

 

Eps 13 and 14 should be interesting

I'm on EP 2. Good thing I read the novel because the subs often don't make any sense  ( I checked different sites, but the subs are the same) I hope they will improve later on. 

 

As  pointed out before, Chang Yi "growing" legs is very different from the novel, where he had to split his tail in order to gain legs. Yun he even had to carry him around at some point. That is also why Chang Yi is so innocent and pure...he has never been on land...So merfolk adapting to their environment doesn't make sense...did I miss something?

I like Lin Cang Lan's performance.  Does anyone know the name of this Actor?   

 

Lin Cang Lan treats his son so cruelly not only for the sake of "The Valley of a Thousand Flowers", but also to change LHQ's character.  He knew his days are numbered.  Lin Cang Lan wants LHQ to be tough enough to deal with anyone and situation, when he is no longer around. 

 

As for Yun He, each time Lin Cang Lan experimented on her, he also helps her to recover. The many antidotes used on Yun He also helps her to go to a higher level.

 

When Lin Cang Lan acts Tough, he is really detestable.  But when he acts Fragile, just as when he is dying, he is really pitiful.  He does it so effortlessly. And that is what a Good Actor should be: "making us empathise with him and believing in his character-role"

His name is Hai Yi Tian. He is a seasoned actor. Seen him in many C-dramas, mostly playing villian roles.

The Highlight of Eps 13 and 14 is the Final Confrontation on the Cliff.  So I shall not waste time on the trifles.  

 

Ep 14:

Lin Hao Qing, Luo Jing Sang, Ji Yun He are all in the entourage to send Chang Yi off to Xian Ji to be her slave.  Of course Yun He's plan is to set Chang Yi - her Love,  free.  While Lin Hao Qing's plan is obstruct Yun He.  He only wants to ensure Yun He's safety.  In a way this is a Silent Love Triangle.  Because Yun He never know that LHQ loves her.  And, of course along the way, Ji Yu He and Chang Yi went on a date.

 

Later Yun He sets Chang Yi up in a hideaway. After making him falls asleep, she went back to await her Punishment from Xian Ji.  But when Chang Yi wakes up, LHQ tells him to go  save Yun He.

 

Chang Yi takes Yun He to run away with him. But finally they reach a Deadend - a Cliff.  With Xian Ji's forces chasing them from behind, Yun He had to set Chang Yi free.  She purposely agitates him with some very Hurtful words and then stabs him with a Knife and pushes him off the Cliff.  And turns to face Xian Ji's (Shunde Fairy) forces - the disciples of the Tianshi Mansion.

 

Unable to overcome Yun He, Xian Ji ordered her men to shoot her with their Golden Arrows.  Finally Yun He crumbles - Dead?

 

Yun He's muscles and bones were completely broken on the Cliff.  But because of the pills in her body, her muscles and bones were resurrected. 

 

How could this happen?

Because over the years, Lin Cang Lan and Qing Shu (a Fox Monster) have sent their Spiritual Power into Ji Yun He's body little by little through the pills.  Turning Ji Yun He into a half-human, half-demon existence.   The Frost Poison can only deal with Demon Masters.  Not Demons.  So Ji Yun He's REAL MONSTER IS A 9-TAILED FOX.  Xian Ji's men could not defeat her. (In a way, we can say Qing Shu had saved her)

 

But suddenly Xian Shi (The Immortal Master), Xian Ji's master and Ning Ruo Chu's "shi di"  appears to subdue Yun He.  He was the one who fed every Spiritual Masters in The Valley of a Thousand Flowers with the Frost Poison.  Ji Yun He was taken away to be imprisoned in the Xian Shi Mansion in Mount Lu Tai.  Ep 14 ends here.

Some random information:

Some Bloggers revealed that Part 2 is expected to be screened on April 6.  These Bloggers had also revealed the March 17 Premiereship of  "The Blue Whisper".  So the news is quite reliable. 

 

"Qing Ming Festival" aka the "Tombs-Sweeping Festival" commences on April 2.  Thus the lapse of 4 days as a mark of Respect.

Eps 15 & 16

Nothing much happening.  A lot of trifles.

 

Ep 15:

So last night, Immortal Master Ning Qing (Xian Shi) finally appeared.  With one move, he subdued Ji Yun He.  He discovered something strange in Yun He's body and secretly brought her back to observe.  

 

Meanwhile Xian Ji's younger brother Tian Jun visited her.  Seeing her so spoilt, he suggested to Xian Shi that perhaps he should take her back to be taught by another Master.  Xian Shi was offended and almost do something to Tian Jun.  Luckily his 2 assistants: Lei Ze and Fei Lian appeared.

 

Tian Jun went to a Bodhi Tree which was nurtured by his own primodial spirit in the past. He thought that there were magical weapons left behind by the previous Tian Jun (his Father).  He want to use them against Xian Shi and Shunde.  But the Tree did  not respond.  Instead he was attracted by a Snoring Sound.

 

Tianjun met Hexu Shenjun (another Immortal Master) who was hiding behind the tree to drink and play Chess.  Hexu told Tian Jun that everything in this World has a Destiny.  

 

After Chang Yi fell off the cliff, he had only one breath left. He was found by his servant, Luo Suo.  After falling all his bones were broken by the rocks.  Fortunately he was saved by Monk Kong Ming who has excellent medical skills and is compassonate.  Sensing that Xian Shi's men led by Cheng Yu are on their way to capture Chang Yi, Kong Ming asked Luo Suo to take Chang Yi to an Inn at the bottom of the mountain.  A place that mortals use.

 

Monk Kong Ming was once a disciple of Xian Shi, the Immortal Master. Disenchanted with Xian Shi's cruelty, he left.  He wanted to Rebel.  But he needed a Powerful Master.  Immortal Master Hexu gave him a "Jin Lian" (a magical Golden Lotus). With that Kong Ming will be able to locate his Master.  And that was how he came to find Chang Yi.  So Chang Yi is the Chosen One.

 

Meanwhile Lin Hao Qing tried to save Yun He but failed. The jail was heavily guarded and protected.  But Xian Shi purposely allowed LHQ  in because he wants to discover Yun He's secret.  And indeed via LHQ and YH's conversation, Xian Shi discovered how Lin Cang Lan had found an Antidote to his Frost Poison.

 

Ep16:

Xian Ji (Shunde Fairy) found out that Yun He was secretly imprisoned by Xian Shi.  She went to torture her with the Frost Poison. Again Yun He transformed into the 9-Tailed Fox.  Before she could attack Shunde, Xian Shi appeared and sent Shunde away.

 

Xian Shi explained to Yun He about her current dual-poles (half-human; half demon) condition.  He also discovered the Shark's Pearl in her.  Yun He asked Xian Shi why he is so cruel, making him recalled the death of his one True Love.

 

Shunde was jealous why Xian Shi kept a Secret from her. She tried to seduce him with a Dance but got Xian Shi angry momentarily.  Why?  Shunde was wearing a New Colourful and Sparkling Skirt made with a Merman's Tail. Xian Shi prefers her  old, white dress.  Because his former True Love always wear "White".  So Xian Shi also has a Sad, Secret Past.   But Xian Shi very quickly relented and agreed to allow Shunde experiment with Yun He too.  The jealous Shunde asked Xian Shi why he kept Yun He alive.  Xian Shi said he just wants to keep her as his "Medicine Man". Nothing more.

 

Shunde cannot kill Yun He.  So she thought of a poisonous plan - Seal the East China Sea of the Shark Clan.  The Mermen resisted and were killed. Although Chang Yi's Water Controlling Technique is good, he is now seriously injured.

 

Zhang Xianshi (Shunde Fairy's Assistant) took out a Fake Pearl of the King Shark, thus agitating Chang Yi.  Chang Yi wanted to retrieve the Pearl, but it changed into an Arrow and headed to pierce Chang Yi's Heart and Elixir.  Luckily the Scepter left behind by Chang Yi's father flew out and saved Chang Yi.

 

Monk Kong Ming also appeared in time to rescue Chang Yi.

 

The East China Sea was sealed.  Chang Yi's father died.  He has no Home to return to. Chang Yi dreamt of his father.  In the dream he apologised for all the troubles he had cause their clan.  His father said these are trials Chang Yi has to undergo.   And that where there is Water, he the Shark King will still be there.  The fate of the Merfolks Clan is now in Chang Yi's hands.  Chang Yi has no choice but to ally with Monk Kong Ming. Together they headed to the North.

 

Meanwhile the wicked Shunde Fairy went to taunt Yun He about the Sealed East China Sea with the Real Shark King's Elixir Pearl.

Can someone help to explain about the jiaozhu, the pearl that changyi gave to yunhe? So the pearl is still with her is protecting her from all the damages. So how can changyi without the pearl? 

The master did explain about her dual pulse and the pearl. Can please help to elaborate? did the master manage to extract the pearl from yunhe?

 

Also in the preview 18, which pearl was the princes shunde holding to threaten changyi?

I've not read the novel. Just based on my understanding from watching the drama. 

Chanyi's pearl is still with Yunhe. He has sealed it within her, when she tried to return it to him in an earlier episode, so that nobody can extract it from her. Even she herself can't extract it out. The pearl apparently has a regenerative power. That's why in ep 16, the master let Shunde torture Yunhe. This is to test if Yunhe will really recover from her wounds because of the pearl. 

 

Besides the pearl Changyi gave her, Junhe also has the 9 fox tail strength (through years of infusion by Qing Shu as instructed by Lin Cang Lan), which made her over come the frost poisen, which only has an affect on fairies. So, Junhe is mutated. She is now half fairy, half fox demon and has regenerative powers. That's why the master is so fascinated by her and is keeping her and observering her like a lab rat. 

 

The pearl that Shunde was holding in front of Junhe was Chanyi dad's pearl. Changyi's dad, who is the sea/merman king, heard about Changyi's capture/torture and tried to fight the immortals but ended up being captured. The sea is also confiscated by the immortals so Changyi has no "home" to go back to. All this was not shown but conveyed by Shunde to Junhe. That's why in that scene, Junhe was in such agony, as she had wanted badly for Changyi to go back to his merfolk. 

 

When Chanyi was found in the lake, after being stabbed by Junhe. He was dying but 

Kong Ming gave him a lotus which revived him. So I guess that is sustaining him for the moment. The lotus was given by old immortal that's always playing chest with Shunde's little brother.

Hi @ipohtown  @tantaran808, @Polly got it right.  I don't watch Previews or read novels. I prefer to enjoy a drama as it comes.  More exciting.  BTW I just edited my posts on Eps 15 & 16.  Was lazy yesterday.  Perhaps you can read them again to get more understanding.
