The novel is pretty good and straightforward.

I loved it as well.

Hehehe...I know right? A lot of Chinese novels have a lot of characters.

Yes, I think there some names are specific for girls and for boys but there are also unisex ones. 

These can be a bit confusing especially when reading translated novels.

Ouch, so can be a couple or few months more. But maybe it's business decision of the investors and the producers, for maximum viewers share when drama air airs? It would be nice though if more time before release makes the editing and the subs the best ever.

Even divided into 2 seasons I read that 7 episodes were cut... I'm afraid that will compromise the story.

Awww...I hope it's going to be ok.

Sad if quality is compromised as well as coherence of the story.

I'm crossing my fingers for this one.

Anyway, I plan to compartmentalize the novel from the drama series.

So I won't be disappointed if there is a huge change.

I'm excited about this.

 

Last year's 玉昭令 did split into season 1 season 2 , thankfully the broadcast was continuous or only 1 week break. Not months or 1 year or un-filmed.

The advantage is ending clip of season1 doesn't reveal as much spoilers in season2  and the new ending clip after first episode of season2 brings refreshed excitement.

 

On youtube it's mentioned by an amateur channel that they changed the schedule from 22 episode in season1 to 30 episode broadcast.
