It could be amazing depending on the writer and director.  I think the director is the director from Ash of Love.  Hopefully it turn out good.

Yes... I hope the CGI is awesome too.. 

after reading the book, partly eng translated and partly MTL, I realized there will be significant amount of CGI. 
keeping my fingers cross.

The translator did a amazing job. The author 九鹭非香,  as always, wrote a epic  and heart wrenching tale. I have my box of tissues ready and I can't wait to watch the drama.

Definitely a lot of sado-masochism in a fantasy setting.  The two leads are able to generate a lot of chemistry, but I just hope the CGI is credible.  Can’t quite imagine Allen Ren as a merman yet ….

I was wondering why Reba look so skinny in the past year. I just read how the director of this drama insisted Reba and Allan to lose weight, to show the amount of suffering their characters went through.

I'm so looking forward to this. The book is one of the best fantasy books that I have read, but very intense and emotional as well. I'm not sure if they can portray the essence of the novel in the drama, especially now they are planning to cut down nearly 1/3 the drama for the official release.

True, the book is really great. I hope they bring justice to the fantasy aspect.

Some c-netizens are not completely satisfied with the trailer. 
 

 

viewers in China are not completely happy, after viewing the trailer. They have two complaints, in particular. First some of the viewers were able to see that Allen was wearing fake muscle pack. This made Allen's fans in China angry. Secondly, his fans also complained about the CGI. They said his tail does not look like the tail of a shark, but looks like a big blue fan. No complain about Reba and her fox tails. But they also said that overall, the CGI looked 'cheap'.

Well I’m still looking forward to this!! You think this won’t air until the 3rd quarter becsuse the crew, director etc wants to make the CGI look better and make Alen Ren’s muscles / tail more realistic ?
