Before making a driver or hardware question...

my cd driver can read cdr n dvd but it cannot detect blank discs.. which means i can't burn anything cos the 'there is no blank disc in the drive. please insert a blank disc' message keeps appearing. the same thing happens with my external dvd rewriter except the message is now 'drive D:/ is not accessible'. what does that mean?

I have a similar problem... -__- (but I'm not talking about anything to do with an external drive..)

I just can't burn anything onto a disc because it can't read it. It's weird because it reads the files on the disc and everything, but I can't burn. It's just a file x__x

Anyone? I am really desperate. My brother needs to burn his ppt file onto a disc or he'll get an F =X no friends are helping him and no usb drive *we don't live near a circuit city or anything*

can anyone help? i just reformatted my computer due to a LOT of viruses, and all the other programs/drivers are working fine except my audio device. when i open my device manager, it has 3 audio codecs in it. i consulted help and support for windows, and it said that i should delete all those codecs since i'm supposed to have only one audio codec. but then the "uninstall" option for the codecs are grayed out, meaning i can't choose that option. when i click on the 3 audio codecs, it says that each of the devices are working properly. when i adjust the system volume, it says that there is no audio device although my speakers are already plugged... T_______T

thanks sooo much if anyone can help!!! my mp3 player used to be fine working on my laptop, but for some reason it doesn't work anymore. When I checked my device manager it said something about "code 10" for my MTP device

i tried the whoel thing, but ti wont work!

thankfully my driver came back after i restarted it, but it wont read my cds.

it wont read any of them, nto just blank ones.
