Watch: Ryu Jun Yeol Realizes He’s Lived A Meaningless Life In Emotional Teaser For New Drama

Jul 30, 2021

by L. Kim

JTBC has shared another heartbreaking teaser for its upcoming drama “Lost.”

In the drama, Jeon Do Yeon will be starring as Boo Jung, a ghostwriter in her forties who feels as though she hasn’t amounted to anything. Ryu Jun Yeol will star as Kang Jae, a man struggling to make ends meet who is terrified of his unpromising future. When the two characters meet in the shadows, they embark on a journey of healing as they attempt to escape the darkness.

The newly released teaser shares a glimpse of Kang Jae’s unstable life. His voiceover states, “I work as someone who can be freely contacted by anyone at any time.” As someone who runs a service where employees act out whatever roles clients request, he is used to spending time with strangers. He masks his true identity and lives his life as someone’s family, friend, and lover.

Kang Jae confronts his parent and asks, “You can’t even give your son 300,000 won (approximately $261)? Money is love.” His cold words show his priority as he lives in harsh reality where money is everything.

The video also shows Kang Jae experiencing overwhelming moments. Sometimes, he’s in tears, and other times, he’s tugging on his hair in frustration. He candidly claims, “If I have to become poorer and poorer, I might become someone worse than I am now.” One mysterious female voice asks, “How much do I have to pay you? For today?” The clip ends with Kang Jae sighing deeply and lowering his head.

“Lost” is currently scheduled to premiere in September. In the meantime, check out the new teaser below!

Kang Jae perfectly portrays the dispirited Kang Jae, a 27-year-old man who is afraid of the future and wandering around without a specific goal in life. Just like Boo Jung, he is sitting in a room that casts him in both shadows and sunlight. His poster reads, “In front of the uphill of life… I got lost.”

Watch: Ryu Jun Yeol Asks Jeon Do Yeon If They Can Be Friends In “Lost” Teaser

Aug 6, 2021

by L. Kim

JTBC’s upcoming drama “Lost” has shared another teaser!

“Lost” tells the stories of average people who realize they haven’t become anything throughout their lives and try their best to see the spotlight. Jeon Do Yeon stars as Boo Jung, a ghostwriter in her 40s who feels lost and as if she hasn’t been able to amount to anything. Ryu Jun Yeol stars as Kang Jae, a man who runs a service where employees act out whatever roles clients request.

The newly released teaser shared a glimpse of two more characters. First, there’s Jung Soo (played by Park Byung Eun), Boo Jung’s husband and the head of the department store’s food department management team. He is a good son and sweet son-in-law, but he is slightly distant from his wife. Kim Hyo Jin will take the role of Jung Soo’s first love Kyung Eun. She is a woman who spends all day nursing her sick husband.

The video starts off with Kyung Eun breaking down in tears as she says, “My husband is not breathing.” Next, Boo Jung lands in the emergency room, and Jung Soo’s voiceover says, “Mom, to her, I’m a sinner.” The words “Where are we now?” hint that the four characters are going through confusing times.

The clip shows Jung Soo and Kyung Eun getting suspiciously closer. When Kyung Eun asks Jung Soo how Boo Jung is doing, he seems uncomfortable and responds vaguely with, “You want to know if she’s doing well?” On top of that, Kang Jae suddenly yanks on Boo Jung’s arm so that they won’t be caught by Jung Soo. Towards the end of the teaser, Kang Jae asks, “Can you be friends with someone like me?”

“Lost” will premiere on September 4 at 10:30 p.m. KST. In the meantime, check out the new teaser below!

Human Disqualification' Jeon Do-yeon X Ryu Jun-yeol, an unusual first meeting

202108100958196614.jpg

Jeon Do-yeon and Ryu Jun-yeol of 'Disqualified Human' predicted a fateful meeting.

JTBC's 10th anniversary special project 'Disqualification' (directed by Heo Jin-ho and Park Hong-soo, written by Kim Ji-hye, produced by C-JeS Entertainment, Drama House Studio), which will be aired for the first time on September 4, is the side of Jeon Do-yeon, who will touch the hearts of viewers with a different sensibility on the 10th. , released a still cut of Ryu Jun-yeol. From the first meeting, people are curious about the story that will be written by an unusual denial (Jeon Do-yeon) and Kang Jae (Ryu Jun-yeol).

'Disqualification for Humanity' tells the story of ordinary people who do their best towards the light, who suddenly realize that they have become 'nothing at all' in the midst of their lives. It densely unravels the narrative of healing and sympathy drawn by two men and women who face in the face of intense darkness, a woman 'negative', a woman who has lost her way without becoming anything, and 'Kangjae', a man at the end of his youth who is afraid of being nothing.

As the anticipation rises as the veil is removed, the photo released on this day contains an unusual first meeting between  Bu-Jung and Kang Jae, drawing attention. Bu-Jung sits on the bus window and weeps. She bows her head and try to swallow the tears, but the tears do not stop. An unfamiliar hand suddenly passes over the tired and fragile shoulder of such negativity. It is Kang Jae, who has been watching with concern for the negation that pours out tears alone. Kang-jae, who could not take his eyes off his curiosity, felt an unknown agitation and gave a handkerchief indifferently. The narrowed distance between two people sitting side by side stimulates curiosity. It raises curiosity about what kind of change the never-ordinary first meeting of ordinary people who stop between the downhill and uphill slopes of life will change their relationship.

Jeon Do-yeon took on the role of Bu-jeong, a scriptwriter who wanted to become a writer. She is a woman who has walked with her best, but has lost her reason for living as she confronts herself who has failed on the descent of her life. As if she was an invisible person, she lives without her presence, embracing her trivial pain. Jeon Do-yeon draws her indescribable sense of loss through deep and delicate acting, raising her expectations that she will empathize.

Ryu Jun-yeol plays Kang Jae, a service operator who wants to become rich. He is a man who takes risks to take off his genes of poverty and rise to higher ground. Dreaming of a wealthy life, he wandered in search of shortcuts, but got lost in front of a steep uphill road without achieving anything. The new face of Ryu Jun-yeol is expected to how he will create the complicated inner side of Kang Jae, a young man who is wandering in danger.

Above all, the meeting of Jeon Do-yeon and Ryu Jun-yeol from different classes is the best point to watch in itself. Jeon Do-yeon said, "The first filming with actor Ryu Jun-yeol was a bus scene. He rhythmically led the crying denial, Kang Jae, who constantly talked, and the scene I thought would be difficult. I think that the charm of actor Ryu Jun-yeol is that he keeps watching and looking forward to it." Ryu Jun-yeol also said, "Senior Jeon Do-yeon has a charm that is difficult to express in words. She is an actor who makes me constantly check myself and brings out a new side. Every moment we shoot together is precious and enjoyable."

Jeon Do-yeon X Ryu Jun-yeol, 'I met someone who knows me'...'disqualification as a human being'

NISI20210811_0000806194_web.jpg?rnd=2021

'Disqualification' Jeon Do-yeon and Ryu Jun-yeol are drawn like fate on the border between empathy and compassion.

On the 11th, JTBC's 10th anniversary special project 'Disqualification' released the second main poster 'Learn' version. The fateful narrative of Negative (Jeon Do-yeon) and Kang-jae (Ryu Jun-yeol), who are slowly drawn to each other as if they are caring for each other's wounds, raises curiosity.

The second main poster 'Learn' version draws attention by melting the complex and subtle emotional lines of the two people.

The 6-cut photo that stimulates analog sensibility captures the moment when Bu-Jung and Kang-jae, passing by, look back. Their eyes towards each other are faint and lonely, but they contain a warm gaze.

Here, the phrase 'I met someone who recognizes me' leaves a short but long lasting impression. The story of Bu Jung and Kang-jae, who feel an unknown attraction at the boundary between empathy and compassion, who face their own resemblance as if they are different, adds to the curiosity and raises expectations.

The production team of 'Disqualification for Humanity' said, "The special method of comfort between two men and women who understand, empathize with, and comfort each other's wounds, the injustice and Kang-jae, who walked alone on the steep hill of life, will give a heavy resonance."

On the other hand, JTBC's 10th anniversary special project 'Disqualification' will be broadcasted for the first time at 10:30 pm on the 4th of September.

Jeon Do Yeon And Ryu Jun Yeol Are Drawn To Each Other By Fate In Poster For Upcoming Drama “Lost”

Upcoming JTBC drama “Lost” released a new poster starring Jeon Do Yeon and Ryu Jun Yeol!

Previously, the first main poster portrayed the “lost path” version, which depicted Boo Jung’s loss and Kang Jae’s wandering. The second main poster is the “recognizing” version and conveys the two people’s complex emotions. With an old-style vibe, the new poster uses six cuts to capture the moment in which Boo Jung and Kang Jae, who were just passing by, turn around and look back.

Their gazes as they look at each other are sentimental and lonely, but they also deliver warmth that means much more than any words of comfort could. The short text on the poster reads, “I met someone who recognizes me,” leaving a powerful impression on viewers. As Boo Jung and Kang Jae meet one another who are both different and alike, they are mysteriously drawn to each other while feeling an emotion that lies somewhere between empathy and compassion.

Jeon-Do-Yeon-Ryu-Jun-Yeol1.jpg

Already, viewers are highly anticipating “Lost” for being Jeon Do Yeon’s and Ryu Jun Yeol’s first return to the small screen in five years. As Boo Jung, Jeon Do Yeon will portray her character’s pain of living life without a presence. Boo Jung has lost her reason to live after facing her failed self on the downward road of life despite trying her best. Ryu Jun Yeol’s character Kang Jae wants to become rich and has taken on the risk of climbing higher in order to let go of his poor background. Wandering on his way to find a shortcut while dreaming of a luxurious life, he’s lost his direction in life in front of a steep uphill road without having accomplished a single thing. Viewers are curious to learn more about the story of the two people who will become a single ray of light in each other’s dark lives.

The production team shared, “Boo Jung and Kang Jae have lonely walked life’s steep hills alone. The pair’s special way of comforting one another as they become each other’s solace and understand and relate to the other’s pain will deeply resonate with viewers.”

“Lost” will premiere on September 4 at 10:30 p.m. KST. In the meantime, check out a teaser for the drama here!

Jeon Do Yeon Catches Ryu Jun Yeol’s Eye On The Bus In Upcoming Drama “Lost”

Aug 12, 2021

by E. Cha

JTBC’s upcoming drama “Lost” has shared a glimpse of the first meeting between its two leads!

“Lost” is a new drama starring Jeon Do Yeon as Boo Jung, a ghostwriter in her forties who feels as though she hasn’t amounted to anything, and Ryu Jeon Yeol as Kang Jae, a man struggling to make ends meet who is terrified of his unpromising future. When the two lost souls meet in the shadows, they embark on a journey of healing as they attempt to escape the darkness.

In newly released stills of the characters’ first encounter, Kang Jae notices Boo Jung crying alone on the bus. Although the distraught writer lowers her head and tries to blink back her tears, she is unable to stop them from falling.

Troubled by her visible distress, Kang Jae can’t stop watching her—and he eventually approaches her to gently offer her a handkerchief. He then takes the seat beside her, raising the question of whether these two lonely souls will be able to find comfort in one another.

Jeon Do Yeon remarked, “My first shoot with Ryu Jun Yeol was our bus scene. With Boo Jung crying and Kang Jae talking non-stop, I thought the scene would be a difficult one, but [Ryu Jun Yeol] rhythmically took the lead. Our acting chemistry needs no words. There was no need for me to have worried.”

JTBC has shared an intriguing new teaser for its upcoming drama “Lost”!

“Lost” is about the stories of average people who realize they haven’t become anything throughout their lives and try their best to see the spotlight. Jeon Do Yeon stars as Boo Jung, a ghostwriter in her 40s who feels lost and as if she hasn’t been able to amount to anything. Ryu Jun Yeol stars as Kang Jae, a man who runs a service where employees act out whatever roles clients request.
