Having seen other versions I am perhaps too conditioned.I think about what still has to happen, the obstacles they will have to face. This confrontation happened too early. So far I've understood the direction of the show, now I'm a little scared, I really hope to be not disappointed. The absurd thing is that I felt more truth in his brother's farewell and his regret at not having Thyme in their lives than I did in this episode's confrontation between Thyme and Gorya. Shipping this bromance! Yes! I'm wondering the same thing about myself. Perhaps I am too conditioned by the storyline so this deviation doesn't feel right, but rather too soon. I do not know. F4 Obsessed YT analysis mentioned that they feel F4 Thailand is shifting focus of the plot to be more of a retelling of the Eros & Psyche myth and this earlier breakup scene plays into that. I also felt more impact and truth in the brother's farewell scene. Mainly because I had actually seen the progression of the relationship between Thyme and Glakhao, so it had an impact for me. I didn't really see Gorya's struggles, or rather enough of Gorya's struggles to fully connect with her in that confrontation scene. Maybe if the episode had included an actual scene of Gorya physically exhausted from trying to handle various odd jobs, or her juggling home, school, work and feeling overwhelmed I could have gotten behind the breakup scene more. But all I saw was Gorya acting as usual. So, we have now reached the halfway point of the drama and one thing is still bothering me. Is Gorya really at Kocher High School on an athletic scholarsip? Because we have seen zero scenes of her doing any sports. Or her with any teammates, coaches. Or her talking about going to practice, etc. It does not make sense. I think there was a translation error in episode one and Gorya must be at Kocher High School on an academic scholarship. This makes better sense given what we have seen (i.e. zero sports) and also matches Gorya's comment to Hana that she has to pay close attention to her grades more than the other students. Usually for an athletic scholarship grades are not that important-more important that the person is winning games/matches/events. I wish that the producers would fix the translations so that things will be clear. There has been a lot of good analysis of Episode 9 on MDL and also at wit & folly youtube. So much commentary on Thyme & Gorya's breakup scene. After reading the comments I feel I need to watch the episode again. Others felt there was plenty of scenes outlining Gorya's struggles and attempts to understand Thyme's world which gave context to her reasoning to break things off with Thyme. I'm asking myself how did I miss these signs? I still feel like I did not see enough time or scenes devoted to Gorya's inner struggles so that herbreakup feels earned and impactful. I don't know. 1
partyon
My issue with the "break up" scene (and I use "break up" on purpose here), is not that it necessarily came out of the blue but the fact that her reasoning was strange. What made me raise my eyebrows is how Gorya assumed things about Thyme and about his feelings, and that she was breaking up with him so that he would be happier. Sorry, but in an adult relationship you do not assume things about your partner or tell them what they are feeling. Nor do you make decisions on your partner's behalf. You ask how the partner is feeling and let him/her make their own decisions. The fact that Gorya made the decision for him tells me instead that: 1) She is the one feeling uncomfortable in the relationship because she's scared she won't fit into Thyme's life 2) She suffers from poor self-esteem as she feels she's not "good enough" for Thyme 3) Her communication skills suck and she needs to work on them I can see that Thyme would be very hurt by this incident. Am not sure that this is a real break up, though. I think they added this little hiccup for a few reasons: 1) To perhaps make Gorya jealous if Thyme now does grow closer to Lita (Thai dramas are all about jealousy you see @joccu can attest to that) 2) To make the scene more impactful when Thyme rescues Gorya from the evil dude (avoiding putting any names here due to it being a spoiler). She will realize that he will protect her at all costs, and not want to lose him. 1 1
Table122000
Analysis of "Who Am I" OST: English subbed Mint Magazine Interview with Tu & Dew February 2022 Issue (Click on CC for Subs): OK, these 2 are too cute! I thought Dew's drawing of Tu was nice. They seem so comfortable with each other. I really hope they work together again soon. That being said, where is the Bright & Tu Photoshoot/Interview? Still wondering why there are no promotions of the main leads together-seems weird.

Table122000
Thoughts on Ep. 10: I enjoyed this episode overall. Usually the fiancee arc feels kind of forced to me but this adaptation did a nice job to lay the groundwork for the leads' separation. Most times when the FL pushes ML away and encourages him to be with the fiancee, I don't really find her actions believable, but I did in this version. I felt Gorya had valid reasons to break things off and so it didn't come off as a plot device/checklist. Both Gorya action of pushing Thyme away and Thyme's actions of trying to get along with Lita felt believable to me. I liked the comparison scene of the "double date" of Gorya/Talay and Thyme/Lita and how it showed that even though the leads were with their socially acceptable partners, neither of them were truly happy. So, I saw a lot of comments about how Gorya should have trusted in Thyme that he didn't push Talay in the parking lot scene, but I felt her reactions rang true. Just minutes before Gorya saw Thyme shove Talay at the food shop, and he was still upset when he caught up to them in the parking lot so of course she's going to believe it if Talay says Thyme shoved him again. Unlike the incident with Tesla, Gorya actually witnessed Thyme shoving Talay previously and getting confrontational with Talay. Gorya's bullying scene was a tough watch. I thought maybe Thyme would be the one to save her, but it was our Ren to the rescue. I hope that he will be okay after getting knocked out by the kidnappers. Prom scene with Lita-I don't know exactly why, but I when Lita gave Thyme her version of the cookies, I found it a little creepy. Where was our Kavin/Kaning scene? Kaning brought that big graduation bouquet but we didn't get to see her give it to Kaning! They better show everything next episode! I wish we could get more screentime for this couple. We're just getting hints about their relationship, i.e. MJ teasing Kavin about her. Cliffhanger as we wait for Thyme to go rescue Gorya from Talay and the other kidnappers. I'm very interested to see how Thailand version handles this iconic moment. Loved that The Story of Iris continues...I'm hoping for a happy ending for MJ and Aum.
balletgoddess
I can't wait for ep 11, with the kidnapping we know what's coming next!! I'm hoping the next ep has Gorya realizing and admitting that she cares for Thyme and it will be epic so she can continue to grow a character (cause self awareness is part of growth). 1
itsmeash
They need to give us our Double K scenes. Only 6 eps left and a lot of story of theirs to cover. Come on writer, give it to us! I want everything and then a happy ending or at least an open ending leaning heavily towards happy like GE and YJ got. 1

Hopefully, Ep 11 will follow the kidnapping scenes from previous versions and Gorya will realize her feelings for Thyme and then protect Thyme from the chair, culminating in a hospital confession scene where she declares her love (and commitment) to Thyme. With only 6 episodes left, we need to get going on the relationship growth. (And a kiss scene, please! Although the way things are going in this drama I feel like we won't see an actual kiss between the leads until the last episode, or maybe never) 1 hour ago, itsmeash said: They need to give us our Double K scenes. I needed that bouquet giving scene! They better include it next episode for sure! Hopefully their storyline will be prominent from next episode onwards, with lots of interactions. I'm also hoping for a happy ending and a nice kiss scene for them! (Although that fake kiss scene in the 2nd trailer didn't give me much confidence) Not sure that we will get that though, so like you I'll settle for the promise of a happy ending like we got in Korea version. With only 6 episodes left, I'm wondering if this Thailand version is going to go a different way with the Thyme/Gorya romance line and they only become a couple in the final episode. In the original story I think main leads have 2 more breakups? There's the one where Makino leaves and goes to the fishing village and also the one where Domiyoji breaks it off when he goes overseas to try to save the company and he tells her to get lost because of his mom. And doesn't he break it off again when he throws her necklace in the water? And then she searches all night for it? Gosh that's 3 breakup scenes we haven't even seen yet for this story. I hope we don't get a pattern where they are together one episode and then break up the next, repeat all the way to the last episode. I think it would be better to have a new storyline with less breakups but I feel that would lead to the main couple only becoming a true couple at the very end of the drama. I guess we will have to see what happens. Hopefully it will not feel rushed. Question for the Forum: Why is it that every version of this story always downplays the sexual attraction between the main leads? In the original source manga, there are plenty of scenes where the 2 leads show they are physically attracted to one another (heck, there are several scenes where the FL just stares at the male lead because she is overcome by his good looks), but this aspect of their relationship always seems to get downplayed and sidelined in the drama versions. I mean we viewers always ask ourselves, how could Makino fall for Tsukasa after the terrible things he did to her? Well, a big part of the answer was she thought he was handsome and was sexually attracted to him. I think only Taiwan even broached the subject of the mutual physical attraction. For me, Taiwan was also the only version that showed a believable passionate kiss scenes between the 2 leads. In all the other versions I have seen, the physical attraction is downplayed, especially for the female lead. I mean in this Thailand version, FL can't even admit ML looks handsome at his birthday party. I find it strange... 2 1

I need to applaud Kay Lertsittichai for his portrayal of Talay in ep 11. He did a phenomenal job! The confession scene was great but I had hoped we would have seen a kiss at the end of ep 11. Guess we won't see one until ep 16 then. Kavin and Kaning having some sizzling moments in this episode, and The Secret Story of IRIS is keeping me interested despite the KFC commercial. 4
balletgoddess
Oh no no no I am NOT ok with Thyme's confession to Gorya while he's still in a relationship with Lita!!! That kinda cheapened the confession for me 1
itsmeash
There are 5 eps left and double K aren't getting much of anything. I get that GT are the mains, but in every other version KK got a lot of moments together and Kavin's story was given more than enough time. But in this one KK are getting scenes cut and basically just crumbs... what gives?! At this point, if we don't get the start of the K/K/M storyline next ep, everything will be rushed. Ugh. 3
partyon
Poll Time.... Talay was in the limelight in ep 11. For those who don't know, "talay" means "sea" in Thai. And Talay certainly acted like a stormy sea in today's episode. Thankfully he calmed down by the end, and we got to enjoy a love confession between Gorya and Thyme instead. What thoughts do you have about ep 11? Please vote in the poll and leave a comment on this thread.
