I've seen all the other versions of Hana Yori Dango (original Japanese manga name) and I have my three top favorite. 

I'm pleasantly surprised to say that this is my first Thai drama and 

I really like this take on this timeless manga. I binges all 6 eps this past weekend lol 

 

My only hope is that this time we actually get a story for all four members of F4 not the 2.5 stories we've see on the other version.

 She is so cute! I had no idea she was studying Dentistry at university! She says she has started her 3rd year of Dentistry this year- I wonder if she will go ahead and finish her degree now that she is becoming a professional actress? Her brother is an actor too, I think. I could definitely see the family resemblance!

I really liked today’s episode.

This week's episode was fantastic!

 

Loved the confession on both sides (Thyme saying he's in love with Gorya  / Gorya calling Thyme her boyfriend). The fight scene between F4 was epic - well done both cinematographically as well as dialogue.

I appreciate that the characters and story have so much more depth in this version, and that we see the character growth clearly in it. Who would have thought BOF could be this deep?

I know I never post, but I have a lot of thoughts on this poll question, and I'm curious to see if I'm the only one that thinks this way. Sorry for the excessive use of the spoiler-tag. I don't want to unintentionally spoil anything for those who are new to the story.

 

Honestly, I've never shipped them in the past, in any version. I don't know if their story never resonated with me, or if I just never felt the chemistry, or disliked the casting choices...

or if knowing how it all unfolds soured me against them.

 

That being said, this is the first time I actually feel chemistry between these characters, and could potentially see something real emerging between them if handled correctly.

It definitely helps that (for me) Kaning comes across as much stronger and more likable in this version, so maybe they'll fix some of the issues I've had with her in the past. I still chose Maybe in the poll though, because at least this way I won't be disappointed. 

 

If done right, though, this has the potential to be my favorite representation of this couple. They could even make them a cute, likable ship...

if Kaning doesn't settle for a one-night fling. Yes, girl-power's great, but I want her to have a real relationship with him for once!! Or in the very least, don't make her chase him one-sidedly. She can want to help him without crushing on him ESPECIALLY if it's only going to lead to heartbreak in the end.

 

Or, after all these adaptations, is that still too much to ask lol?

I feel like we aren't talking about MJ enough. In all the other versions his character is almost always useless. Lol. I loved how MJ tried so hard to bring them all together again. He is such a sweetheart. I seriously hope the drama explores his character more. 

 

The fight scene was the best. Lol. It was a great way to release all the pent up frustration. Lol. Although I wish they had included the hospital fake out scene from the other versions. That is one of my favourite part seeing Jandi/Makino being so worried about Gu Jun pyo/Domoyouji. 

 

I'm scared for the next arc where mommy dearest tries to separate the lovebirds. Sigh. This version has the scariest mom. Lol.

I like them. They're cute.  

But like you, I never liked them in previous adaptations.

first time in this thread. i’ve seen all bof series but never once i really fall for hanazawa rui character like dew did to me. he is really good looking.

English Subbed Interview of Male Second Lead Actor Dew Jirawat Sutivanichsak

 

 

He's too cute! I was surprised to learn his favorite color to wear is brown. (Definitely not my favorite color to wear) They showed some of his own drawings which I thought were quite nice. I think the drawings in the drama are by other artists, but I am not sure. Maybe a combination of Dew's sketches and other professional artist's work?

He's so sweet and lively! It's nice to see a celeb with a love of the outdoors. They showed some photos of Nani's high school days with short hair and he looks very handsome. I think he is one of the lucky people who looks good in a variety of styles which will be a plus for his career.

I really like him as MJ in this drama and I hope we get to see more of him in the second half of the series.

They really like driving those ATVs!  Also, probably the cutest (and most jarring) infomercial for deodorant ever made, LOL!  When Dew asked Win to smell his armpits-OMG! ROTFL!  I felt so bad for them all -having to say those lines. Secondhand cringe. On the plus side, you can really see the cast chemistry-all those cast bonding workshops with the director paid off.
