I think Apple produces quality shows.  The problem is not enough people subscribe to Apple TV.

Agreed, I think it will be as good as Squid Games in terms of popularity if on Netflix and will generate more attention.  Apple is not even promoting it that much, it seems.

Hansu kicking the bird aside bothered me bc I have pet birds

Yup, that must be disturbing.

I've enjoy Episode 4 quite a bit as well. Love the acting from everybody in the cast, and I love the snippets of tender moment between Hansu and Sunja. These two people, who loves each other but are not right for each other. They each have their own value, and as much as they love each other, i could never imagine them getting married and do life together. Kudos to LMH and Min Ha kim, who are able to portray the complex feelings these two have.

Also found the modern story (Solomon time) a bit underwhelming. Honestly, i want to see more of Mozasu in the modern time, I hope we get to in the next 4 episode.

And wow!! I didn't expect the TV series would take Mr. Kim and Kyunghee story that far. In the book, it was obvious that Mr. Kim loves Kyunghee, but she is very loyal to her husband. Book version Kyunghee, would never do what TV Kyunghee did :).

I was hoping we would have less of Solomon this second season as I found his story the least appealing but seems like he has just as much or expanded screen time this season.

I think Solomon is needed bc Soo Hugh's intent is to show how the past affects the future.

Pachinko Friday! :1646639759_ezgif.com-gif-maker(1):-ep 7

********

I finally was able to watch ep 6.  I'll have to rewatch bc I saw about 15 min more than a week ago, then the rest today.

things I liked

1.  Sunja's ability to convince Noa to attend college

Things that intrigued me

1.  Hansu's relationship with his FIL.  I still don't understand this relationship.  That conversation with the FIL .... All was good with the FIL until FIL found out about Sunja (and Noa)?

2.  What will happen between Naomi and Solomon?  Will he really push her out of his way to get what he wants?

Wow! A review is out already?

The Busan Film Festival Market will present “The Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint” for the first time.

The English title will also be “THE PROPHET”. The Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint is set to captivate the world next summer.

Showing at the Busan Film festival, that is great news, isn't it.  Bodes well for its success.

Thoughts on ep 7 which I dub the tissue episode

What I liked

1.  I loved Mozasu and Noa "forcing" Yoseb to face the outside world.  I teared up when Yoseb was cheering for the runt of a boy hitting an inside the park home run.  Finally, Yoseb is free.

2.  Of course, I teared up again when Noa left for Tokyo, Mozasu running and hugging him

3.  Hansu being vulnerable and opening up to Sunja about his concerns and fears.

4.  Old Sunja and her Japanese friend (forgot his name)

What I was meh about

1.  I was not really invested in Naomi being fired and Solomon's strategy to get what he wants.

What I'm intrigued about

1.  What is the fallout for Hansu for killing his FIL?  Will this backfire on him?  He's still Korean, so will anyone back him?
