Hello, everyone!  I haven't been here in a while.  Glad to find new shippers on board.  

 

I'm currently watching "Mr. Queen" which incidentally stars SJH's partner in CLOY, Kim Jung Hyun.  I enjoy it very much.  Kim Jung Hyun and Shin Hye Sun have great comedic and romantic chemistry.  Yet strangely enough, they don't trigger in me this desire to see them end up together in real life.  Which brings SSH and SJH to mind again, because even now, every time I see photos or videos of them, that feeling comes back to me.  

 

When I watch "Mr. Queen", I see King Cheoljeong and Kim So Yong/Queen Cheorin, not Kim Jung Hyun and Shin Hye Sun.  But when I watched "Dinnermate", I saw SSH and SJH in KHK and WDH.  

 

I hope we hear from them soon somehow. They've been awfully quiet since the drama ended.

Of course Woo Do Hee was closer to your real self except for the first love scenario beating her self up type of thing.  

 

Maybe someone can provide some insights on what went wrong with SSH and his former girl friend?  Was SSH to silly for her or too attractive for her or was it related to their busy schedules that tore them apart BS.  One thing I can attest to is that once you have been in a longer relationship and it ends, once you get past it you know when the right person is in front of you.  It’s just a totally different vibe.  This is so apparent with SSH.

 

Sexydolcevita you are so correct about SSH taking photos.  This says a couple of things:

1.  We look great together (beautiful couple made for each other).  You know he says this all the time and makes sure she knows it.

2.  In Korea guys have to be super affectionate to win over their desired woman and SSH is making sure she is everything to him (fighting).

3.  SSH to SJH, I am in it to marry you, you are my future wife and mother of my child.  Commitment in the strongest sense.  Interviews says it all so does BTS that I really like you.

4.  Shows I can use my phone really well and does not signal that I am too tech challenge for you.  A for effort.

5.  This is going in our family photo album and also for our digital photo frames.  He is such a ham as I am sure they talk about their best pictures together.

6.  Practice script rehearsals together and take pictures to get right image for scene.

 

Again I say this is only my opinion.

And the chinese media always put pressure on them claiming that they were separated without really being separated and other worse things as well. That their relationship was purely out of SSH's interest to conquer the chinese market. I read in some chinese article that when SSH and his ex had a busy shooting schedule, he took advantage of his time off and showed up at his ex's shooting location by surprise to catch up. The chinese themselves reported that they stayed a long time hugging and together, showing a lot of affection for each other. SSH really liked her a lot, and I suspect that maybe it was her ex who broke up with her, because of the Mulan movie that would take 2 years to shoot in different countries (just my speculation). When they announced the separation, the ex girlfriend posted a photo two days after the announcement, blocking the comments on the photo. I found this attitude strange from her, while SSH took almost 1 months to post something on his ig. Usually, the person who breaks up moves on faster... And in the same year that their breakup was announced, SSH in December gave an interview stating that he really wants to get married, and in ILA with Lee Si Eon (while filming Player) SSH said that he wants someone to control and hold him, because he wants to raise a mature family. A person who breaks up is not going to think much about serious commitment, as a marriage is. So I think the ex who broke up with him and not the opposite, he just respected her decision. 

SSH always had birthday parties among his friends and his ex was always present. Some journalists present said that they always treated each other with great affection. Christmas and some new years were spent together as well. He even stayed in a resort in Namhae (the town where he went on the Gamsung Camping program) with his ex and her mother, to spend a few days. But his ex has always been discreet about talking about him, the only interview I got from her was when the two confirmed their relationship. She said this about SSH in the interview, "I knew he was a kind person. From the first time I met him, I enjoyed acting and breathing." "He gave me a lot of inspiration. He is a very warm and nice person " (I saw some similarities in SJH's actual speech about SSH).

Thank you @Siomarafor this wonderful article about what SSH said post break up about getting married and finding his destined relationship. He really believes in destiny and so waited for a long time for that special woman destined for him. I believe his waiting has ended and destiny brought SSH and SJH to finally meet and work together and developed a special bond/relationship over their working together in Dinner Mate which happens to be a story about destiny. Their meeting last year must have been at the right time and right stage in both their lives and they realized that they both have the qualities that each other were looking for in a marriage partner ❤

I also follow the stories behind their time together and when they broke up.

True, I also think it seems that the ex who decided they parted. 

 

In 2017, the Chinese media was busy reporting about their break-up. SSH representative immediately replied that they were fine.
But finally in January 2018 his agency officially announced that they separated due to their busy schedule.

 

I think they split up, not just because of their busy schedules. It was just a wise excuse announced by his agency so that the media wouldn't escalate the situation. Because at that time a lot of the public and the media connected it to the political situation of China and SK. But apparently not for that reason either.

 

If we look back at those times, his ex was around 30 years old and SSH was 41 years old.
It seems that his ex still has a lot of dreams for her career plus that time she got the chance to play Mulan. Meanwhile, on SSH side, in his many interviews with the media at that time, he talked a lot about wanting to get married and have a family. So contradicting each other.
And this seems to have caught on in the Chinese media, because I once read a rumor in an online media that it was her ex who decided to separate because the man side was thought to give too many statements about their relationship. Maybe these were just wild rumors.

 

So it seems that they broke up apart because of long distance relationships, language barriers, age differences and also because they were not meant to be together.

 

And it seems that SSH has also learned a lot from this experience, so that the issue of international marriage is also in the DM drama script.
In the scene where KHK asked his assistant to contact the international marriage agency for his stress patient, the assistant asked back on KHK  "Are you interested in international marriage?" KHK didn't answer, he just stared at his assistant sharply.
(By including this "subtle satire" line in his scene, it means SSH already feels healing).

 

Surprisingly this time fate brought SSH together with SJH, the woman of his destiny. 
Throughout his career in the industry, he was never introduced, met in person and even played in the same drama or film.
 

So it is not surprising that at the interview when DM ended, SSH said that SJH surprised him every day.
And he was even more surprised when he got to know SJH closer because many things he wanted in woman was with her. SJH has a good wife material.
So when SJH said that she chose "My parent come to my mind " when there was the question "Would you like to have dinner together? 
That adds to SSH's positive assessment of SJH.

@janeoztenSadly during the MBC awards it didn't win which supported the commenter's post.. But definitely a winner to those who have watched the entire show (to all of us here).. The genre category of "Slice of Life" really depicts the reality of how "romance"/ relationship is going through for couple since the old days up until now, especially when it comes to relationship that strives with issues involving each persons personal, mental and emotional issues.. The audiences of most generation only look up to the good side and that's not the case..

These were the lessons to those who haven't fully dug up on finishing this drama.. In which I feel bad for those who haven't watched it..

I keep posting this drama on my facebook just for everyone to try and watch.. And I have been given good feedbacks to those who finished the drama.. Most of my friends want to watch drama with finished episodes, it was then I introduced the drama to them and love this..
