Synopsis:

A group of brave youth who are not afraid of bullets, guns, and hardships. The students stay firm in their beliefs to save their country.

From the years 1937 to 1946, Tsinghua University, Peking University, and Nankai University temporarily merged during a historic moment in Kunming to form the National Southwestern Associated University (Lianda). As the Second Sino-Japanese War broke out in 1937, young scholars and intellectuals rose up to fight a battle through literacy.

Agreed. Im not a fan of war dramas. I watched the first two episodes because of Dylan.   

But, I also  liked the other actors and im curious to see how their fates will unfold during that turbulent time.

So, the three universities are being moved to the south of the country after the destruction of the Nanking

University. 

The students can continue their education. It was a good deal between the professors and the Japanese authorities.

 

 

Looks like the tree brought them close together...

JH went to the countryside to teach...Jiashu became a student  of the Physics Department 

RQ will work as a translator ...and thats how they all parted ways...

Wen Jie is completely in his own imaginary world..Im glad HJ turned him down.

I like  Jiashu's letters addressed to RM.  

Ami is smart and a fast learner.
